Abstract:'Mixed' systems of integral-algebraic equations consisting of second-kind and first-kind Volt-erra integral equations ( VIEs) have rich applications, such as memory kernel identification problems in heat conduction and viscoelasticity, evolution of a chemical reaction within a small cell, and Kirchhoff' s laws, etc. For a class of semi-explicit index-2 integral-algebraic equations with a delay, how the delay influences the regularity of the integral-algebraic equation is investigated. In view of the mathematical in-duction method and the resolvent representation of the analytic solution, the existence and uniqueness of the analytic solution are proved interval by interval according to the delay, and the regularity is described in detail.

Abstract:This article is concerned with a class of non-linear delay integral equations, which unify some extensively studied delay integral equations. We establish a new existence and uniqueness theorem about positive almost automorphic solutions of the delay integral equations. Our theorem can deal with some cases to which many known results are not applicable. Two examples are given to illustrate our results.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the existence of positive almost automorphic solutions to some nonlinear delay integral equations. We first establish a new fixed point theorem for mixed monotone operator in a cone, and then, with its help, we obtain existence theorems of positive almost automorphic solutions. Some examples are given to illustrate our results. As one will see, even in the case of almost periodicity, our theorems extend some earlier results, and moreover, the approach dealing with the integral equation arising in an epidemic problem in this paper is also new.

Abstract:In the current study, we deal with a linear system of integral-algebraic-equations (IAEs) with vanishing delay arguments, which can be considered as the most momentous novelty of this work, since it is the first time where these two concepts have been combined. The so-called piecewise collocation scheme has been applied in order to numerically tackle the Hessenberg type IAEs system together with vanishing delays. Like always, this method confirms its solvability for these systems. Some well-established results in terms of regularity, existence, uniqueness, and also convergence of the solution for the problem under study have been presented masterly. Finally, two test problems have been fairly well-studied, for the sake of verifying theoretical achievements in practice.

Abstract:A class of index-1 integro-differential algebraic equations modeling a hydraulic circuit that feed a combustion process is considered. The existence, uniqueness and regularity are analyzed in detail. Two kinds of collocation methods are employed to solve the equation numerically. For the first one, the derivative and algebraic components are approximated in globally continuous and discontinuous polynomial spaces, respectively; and for another one, both the derivative and algebraic components are solved in globally continuous piecewise polynomial spaces. The convergence, global and local surperconvergence are described for these two classes of collocation methods. Some numerical experiments are given to illustrate the obtained theoretical results.

Abstract:The multistep collocation method is introduced to solve integral-algebraic equations of index 1. The existence and uniqueness of the multistep collocation solution are proved. The convergence of the perturbed multistep collocation method is also investigated, which extends and includes the analysis of the multistep collocation method without perturbed terms. Abstract:The collocation method in continuous piecewise polynomial spaces is applied to solve integralalgebraic equations of index 1.The collocation scheme in continuous piecewise polynomial spaces is shown,and the existence and uniqueness of the collocation solutions are proved.For cm =1,the convergence condition of the collocation method in continuous piecewise polynomial spaces is analyzed in detail and different techniques are used to obtain corresponding convergence order according to the different convergence conditions.Some numerical experiments are given to illustrate theoretical analysis.

Abstract:In this work, we delve into a nonlinear integral equation (IEq) with multiple variable time delays and a nonlinear integro-differential equation (IDEq) without delay. Global existence and uniqueness (GEU) of solutions of that IEq with multiple variable time delays and IDEq are investigated by the fixed point method using progressive contractions, which are due to T.A. Burton. We prove four new theorems including sufficient conditions with regard to GEU of solutions of the equations. The results generalize and improve some related published results of the relevant literature.

Abstract:In this paper, the fixed point theory combined with a monotone iterative technique is used to investigate the unique positive solution of a boundary problem for nth-order nonlinear impulsive singular integro-differential equations of mixed type on an infinite interval in a Banach space. The conditions for the existence of a unique positive solution are established. In addition, an explicit iterative sequence for approximating the solution of the boundary value problem is derived together with an error estimate. Furthermore, the conditions of the theorems can be easily verified.

Abstract:This study establishes the existence and stability of solutions for a general class of Riemann–Liouville (RL) fractional differential equations (FDEs) with a variable order and finite delay. Our findings are confirmed by the fixed-point theorems (FPTs) from the available literature. We transform the RL FDE of variable order to alternate RL fractional integral structure, then with the use of classical FPTs, the existence results are studied and the Hyers–Ulam stability is established by the help of standard notions. The approach is more broad-based and the same methodology can be used for a number of additional issues.
