Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the concept of p-asymptotically contractive type mappings, and study the modified Mann and Ishikawa iteration processes with errors for approximating fixed points of the p-asymptotically contractive type mappings in uniformly convex Banach spaces. The results presented in this paper improve and extend the corresponding results of(1-5, 10, 15, 17, 23).

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the problem of finding a common fixed point of a nonexpansive mapping and a lambda-strict pseudocontraction based on a general iterative process. Abstract:A recent trend in the iterative methods for constructing fixed points of nonlinear mappings is to use the viscosity approximation technique. The advantage of this technique is that one can find a particular solution to the associated problems, and in most cases this particular solution solves some variational inequality. In this paper, we try to extend this technique to find a particular common fixed point of a finite family of asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space which is reflexive and has a weakly continuous duality map. Both implicit and explicit viscosity approximation schemes are proposed and their strong convergence to a solution to a variational inequality is proved.

Abstract:Let X be a uniformly convex Banach space, and S, T be pair of mean nonexpansive mappings.Some necessary and sufficient conditions are given for Ishikawa iterative sequence converge to common fixed points, and we prove that the sequence of Ishikawa iterations associated with S and T converges to the common fixed point of S and T .This generalizes former results proved by Z. Gu and Y. Li [4].

Abstract:We study the existence problems of fixed points and the topological structure of fixed point sets for nonexpansive set-valued maps in Banach space. We establish some porosity results on the existence of fixed points and the topological structure of fixed point sets for nonexpansive set-valued maps with values in an admissible family. The results obtained in the present paper cover and improve the corresponding ones due to De Blasi and Myjak (C. R. Acad. Sci. Paris Sér. I Math. 308:51–54, 1989) and De Blasi et al. (Set-Valued Anal. 17:97–112, 2009).

Abstract:In this paper, we first introduced a new class of generalized non-expansive mappings, which was larger than the class satisfying the condition $ B_{\gamma, \mu } $. Also, we proposed a new iterative process to approximate the fixed point of the mapping we introduced in this work, then we prove convergence theorems for these mappings by using our iteration process. Lastly, a numerical example was given to show the efficiency of this new iteration process. Our results were the extension and generalization of many known results in the literature in fixed point theory.

Abstract:The nonlinear equation x + Tx = y is studied, where T is an m-accretive, nonexpansive mapping on a q-uniformly smooth Banach space with q is an element of (1, 2]. A Mann iterative process is proved to strongly converge to the unique solution of the equation. An estimates of convergence rate of the process is also given. The results of the paper extend those of Dotson [10] from the Hilbert space setting to a Banach space setting.

Abstract:In this paper, a new iterative algorithm involving nonexpansive mapping in Hilbert space is proposed and proved to be strongly convergent to a point which is simultaneously a fixed point of a nonexpansive mapping and a solution of an equilibrium problem. The results of the paper extend previous results, see, for instance, Takahashi and Takahashi (J Math Anal Appl 331:506–515, 2007), and other results in this field. Moreover, this algorithm is applied to find zeros of a maximal monotone operator and solve an optimization problem.
