Abstract:In this paper, we prove a result that if two meromorphic functions share two small functions CM* and two other small functions IM*, then the two meromorphic functions share those four distinct small functions CM*, and give more detailed results. Which generalizes G. G. Gundersen's 2CM+2IM Theorem from sharing values to sharing small functions in detailed form.

Abstract:We discuss the problem of uniqueness of a meromorphic function f ( z ) , which shares a 1 ( z ) , a 2 ( z ) , and a 3 ( z ) CM with its shift f ( z + c ) , where a 1 ( z ) , a 2 ( z ) , and a 3 ( z ) are three c -periodic distinct small functions of f ( z ) and c ∈ \{0} The obtained result improves the recent result of Heittokangas, et al. [ Complex Var. Elliptic Equat. , 56 , No. 1-4, 81 (2011)] by omitting the assumption about the order of f ( z ) In addition, we introduce a way of characterization of elliptic functions in terms of meromorphic functions sharing values with two of their shifts. Moreover, by a number of illustrative examples, we show that our results are, in certain senses, best possible.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the uniqueness of the shift of meromorphic functions. We prove: Let $f$ be a non-constant meromorphic function satisfying $\rho_{2}(f)<1$, let $\eta$ be a non-zero complex number, and let $a,b,c\in\hat{S}(f)$ be three distinct small functions. If $f$ and $\Delta^{n}_{\eta}f$ share $a,b,c$ CM, then $f\equiv \Delta^{n}_{\eta}f$.

Abstract:In 1992, Gundersen (Complex Var. Elliptic Equ.20 (1992), no. 1-4, 99-106.) proposed the following famous open question: if two non-constant meromorphic functions share three values IM and share a fourth value CM, then do the functions necessarily share all four values CM? The open question is a long-standing question in the studies of the Nevanlinna$'$s value distribution theory of meromorphic functions, and has not been completely resolved by now. In this paper, we prove that if two distinct non-constant meromorphic functions $f$ and $g$ of finite order share $0,$ $1,$ $c$ IM and $\infty$ CM, where $c$ is a finite complex value such that $c\not\in\{0,1\},$ then $f$ and $g$ share $0,$ $1,$ $c,$ $\infty$ CM. Applying the main result obtained in this paper, we completely resolve a question proposed by Gary G. Gundersen on Page 458 of his paper (J. London Math. Soc. 20(1979), no. 2, 457-466.)concerning the nonexistence of two distinct non-constant meromorphic functions sharing three distinct values DM and a fourth value CM. The obtained result also improves the corresponding result on Pages 109-117 in (E. Mues, Bemerkungen zum vier-punkte-satz, Complex Methods on Partial Diferential Equations, 109-117, Math. Res. 53, Akademie-Verlag, Berlin, 1989.) concerning the nonexistence of two distinct non-constant entire functions that share three distinct finite values DM. Examples are provided to show that the main results obtained in this paper, in a sense, are best possible.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the uniqueness of the difference of meromorphic functions. We prove the following result: Let $f$ be a non-constant meromorphic function of hyper-order less than $1$, let $\eta$ be a non-zero complex number, $n\geq1$, an integer, and let $a,b,c\in\hat{S}(f)$ be three distinct small functions and two of them be periodic small functions with period $\eta$. If $f$ and $\Delta_{\eta}^{n}f$ share $a,b,c$ CM, then $f\equiv\Delta_{\eta}^{n}f$.

Abstract:This article deals with the multiple values and algebraic dependences problem of meromorphic mappings sharing moving hyperplanes in projective space. We give some algebraic dependences theorems for meromorphic mappings sharing moving hyperplanes without counting multiplicity, where all zeros with multiplicities more than a certain number are omitted. Basing on these results, some unicity theorems regardless of multiplicity for meromorphic mappings in several complex variables are given. These results are extensions and strong improvements of some recent results.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the growth of meromorphic solutions of complex linear difference equations of certain types and derive some results, which improve the results of Chiang and Feng [On the Nevanlinna characteristic of f(z+η) and difference equations in the complex plane. Ramanujan J. 2008;16(1):105–129; On the growth of logarithmic differences, difference quotients and logarithmic derivatives of meromorphic functions. Trans Am Math Soc. 2009;361:3767–3791] and Chen [Growth and zeros of meromorphic solution of some linear difference equations. J Math Anal Appl. 2011;373:235–241]. Also in this paper, we consider the sharing value problems of entire functions with their difference operators and obtain a result which improves the result of Li, Yang and Yi [Entire functions sharing an entire function of smaller order with their shifts. Proc Jpn Acad. 89 (A) (2013), 34–39]. Moreover, we show by illustrating a number of examples that our results are best possible in certain senses.
