Abstract:Based on the characteristics of source water in coastal district, this paper investigates residual chlorine decay and haloacetic acids (HAAs) formation of halite water desalinated by nanofiltration membrane and ultrafiltration membrane in the pilot-scale water distribution systems. The nature organic matter (NOM) of ultrafiltration water, nanofiltration water and tap water were analyzed by 3D fluorescence spectroscopy. The residual chlorine decay and HAAs formation of three different waters in pilot-scale water distribution systems under different temperatures were compared. The results show the residual chlorine decay coefficient of tap water is the fastest. And with the increasing of temperature, the amount of HAAs formation increased.
