Abstract:Objective Through a comparative analysis on medical quality management of private hospitals and public hospitals, to identify shortcomings in two kinds of hospitals and the differences between them, and make recommendations for improvement.Methods Through the analysis of variance and Kruskal-Wallis H test, SNK method and Games-Howell method, the typical survey data among private hospitals, the 2nd Grade and 3rd Grade public hospitals were analyzed.Results The private hospitals compared with the 2nd Grade public hospitals, except individual scores of 2 aspects had no significant difference, the remaining individual scores of 6 aspects and scores were statistical difference; the private hospitals compared with the 3rd Grade public hospitals, individual scores of 8 aspects and scores all had statistical difference; the 2nd Grade public hospitals compared with the 3rd Grade public hospitals, only total score of every hospital had statistical difference, there was no statistical difference in individual scores of 8 aspects.Conclusion The private and public hospitals all had shortcomings on medical quality management, but the private hospitals were worse than the public hospitals in general; the level of management of private hospitals was uneven, but there were some private hospitals whose management are normative.The government should strengthen the supervision of hospitals (especially of private hospitals), improve the supervision and inspection system, and establish and improve the information disclosure system of medical quality management.
