Research on the organizational structure of medical quality management in general public hospitals in China, A case study of Shenzhen

Abstract:Objectives:To analyze the present situation and existing problems of organization structure of medical quality management in China,and provide the basis for further improvement.Methods:10 general public hospitals of Shenzhen were selected to have a self-designed questionnaire and statistics analysis were done according to the data.Results:It shows that all the selected hospitals have set three tiers medical quality management structure.Awareness rate of the functions of medical quality management organizational structure is better in district level hospitals than that of in municipal hospitals.Organizational structure of medical quality management plays well in both district level and municipal level hospitals.All the hospitals want to set up and improve medical quality management information system.Compared to the district level hospitals,municipal level hospitals take more expectation on more professional medical quality management staff.Conclusions:Improving the framework of quality management organizational structure,post setting and work responsibilities,making more efforts on staff training and human resources introduction,building total quality management information system based on cloud computing can provide an objective and unified platform for medical quality management and supervision.
