Abstract:OBJECTIVE To study pulmonary infections caused by gram‐negative bacteria in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and drug resistance so as to provide reference for clinical treatment .METHODS Totally 1 616 cases of COPD patients with pulmonary infections in our hospital during Jan .2010 and Jun .2010 were selected as the research subjects .Specimens were collected from the patients for pathogen identification and the K‐B method was used for drug sensitive test . The bacterial culture results and the pathogen resistance were analyzed . RESULTS Totally 1 288 strains of gram negative bacteria were detected from the 1 616 cases of COPD with pulmonary infection ,with the detection rate of 79 .7% .The main gram negative bacteria were K lebsiella pneumo‐nia (34 .4% ) , Pseudomonas aeruginosa (18 .1% ) , and A cinetobacter baumannii (12 .1% ) . Gram‐negative bacteria had high resistance to cefazolin ,ampicillin ,sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim ,ampicillin/sulbactam ,and ceftriaxone ,and low resistance to imipenem ,levofloxacin ,amikacin ,and tazobactam .CONCLUSION Pathogens for COPD infection are mainly gram‐negative bacteria ,including Pneumonia klebsiella ,Pseudomonas aeruginosa , Acinetobacter baumannii ranking the top three .Resistance of gram‐negative bacteria in COPD patients is serious , therefore ,monitoring of clinical drug‐resistant bacteria should be strengthened and the rational use of antimicrobial agents should be implemented so as to improve the treatment effect of COPD .
