Abstract:Objective:To investigate the drug resistance of lower respiratory infection caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa during 2012-2013 in Department of Respiratory Medicine at Beijing General Hospital of Civil Aviation, in order to guide the clinical treat-ment. Methods:A total of 59 lower respiratory infection caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa were collected from January 2012 to De-cember 2013, and then statistically analyzed. The bacteriological characteristics and drug resistance were also analyzed. Results:Dur-ing the 2 years, the drug resistance rates of the Pseudomonas aeruginosa to polymyxin, tazobacta-piperacillin, ceftazidime and amika-chi were 11.9%, 25.4%, 27.1%and 28.8%, respectively. The drug resistance rates to meropenem, cefepime, ciprofloxacin, levoflocacin and imipenem were 35.6%, 35.6%, 37.3%, 39.0%and 42.4%, respectively. The drug resistance rates to other antibiotics were relative-ly high. Conclusion:Pseudomonas aeruginosa presents a different degree of resistance against multiple antibiotics. The susceptibility test is required to be strengthened in order to effectively choose susceptible antibiotics.
