The Preliminary Clinical Management Value Study of Ultrasound in Papillary Thyroid Microcarcinoma

Abstract:Objective Discussing the growth rhythm of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma,in order to explore the value of ultrasound in its clinical management preliminaryly.Methods Analysis 124 cases of patients with papillary thyroid microcarcinoma retrospective.Define any diameter line's increase bigger than 3 mm for lesion as its growth in ultrasound examination.Divided patients into four groups according to the time,as ≤3 months,3-6 months,6-12 months and ＞12 months.Record the growth of lesions and their presentation time.Results About 10.5％ of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma appear increase of diameter line,while 3.2％ of patients' number of lesions will increase.About 68.8 ％ of the increase lesions are divided into the group of ≤ 3 months.If there is not a significant growth of lesions within three months,there will not be a growth bigger than 3 mm in the following time.Conclusions Ultrasound can provide a growth trend of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma and suggest interval period for clinic.
