Abstract:Objective: To explore the clinical value of antinuclear antibody spectrum (ANAs)detection for the diag-nosis of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Methods: Fifty-eight SLE patients were enrolled, and 53 patients with other autoimmune disease and 60 healthy volunteers were served as the control groups. Eight types of ANAs in serum were de-tected by linear immunoassay (LIA). Positive rates of these types of antibodies were compared between the three groups. Results: The positive rates of 5 types of ANAs were higher in SLE groups than those in the other two groups(P<0.05). The positive rates of 6 types of ANAs were slightly higher in autoimmune disease control group than in healthy control group, but were not statistically significant (P>0.05). In SLE group, the positive rate of multiple antibody detection was higher than that of single antibody detection(P<0.05), while no such differences were seen in the other two control groups(P>0.05). Conclusions: Eight types of ANAs detection is useful for the diagnosis, severity assessment and treatment of autoimmune disease. Multiple types of ANAs detection could provide evidences for SLE screening and SLE classification.
