Abstract:OBJECTIVE To explore the etiology of nosocomial infections in the patients with acute leukemia ,analyze the prevalence of the infections ,and put forward the intervention measures so as to provide guidance for clinical treatment .METHODS The clinical data of 68 patients with acute leukemia who were treated from Mar 2013 to Mar 2015 were retrospectively analyzed ,the enrolled patients were divided into the single antibiotic group and the com‐bined medication group according to the order of admission to the hospital ,which were respectively treated with the single antibiotic and the antibiotic combined with G‐CSF ,and the clinical outcomes were compared between the two groups after the treatment .RESULTS The nosocomial infections occurred in 67 of 68 patients with acute leuke‐mia ,with the infection rate of 98 .53% .The etiological examination was carried out for the 67 patients with the in‐fections ,and a total of 30 strains of pathogens were isolated ,including 19 (63 .33% ) strains of gram‐negative bac‐teria ,7 (23 .33% ) strains of gram‐positive bacteria ,and 4 (13 .34% ) strains of fungi .The respiratory tract , lung ,gastrointestinal tract ,and oral cavity were the major infection sites .The incidence of the nosocomial infec‐tions was ,to certain degree ,associated with the length of hospital stay ,neutrophils counts ,and chemotherapy . The combined medication was conducted according to the predisposing factors based on the antibiotic therapy ;the fever time and the recovery time of neutrophils counts were significantly shortened (P<0 .05) .CONCLUSION The patients with acute leukemia are predisposed to the nosocomial infections during the hospital stay for treatment , and the gram‐negative bacteria infections are dominant .The major risk factors for the nosocomial infections include the old age ,long length of hospital stay ,low neutrophils counts ,and chemotherapy .It is an effective way to con‐duct the combined medication with G‐CSF based on the treatment of primary diseases and conventional anti‐infec‐tion treatment so as to improve the therapeutic effect .
