Accurate Hybrid Flux Observation Based on Improved Voltage Model for Induction Motor

Abstract:The Hybrid Flux Observation Model (HFOM) is frequently employed in induction motor flux observers to ensure accurate and dynamic responses over the entire speed range. Nevertheless, the voltage model, designed in the stationary reference frame, is susceptible to integral saturation and integral drift issues. These problems lead to diminished estimation accuracy and compromised dynamic performance when conventional HFOM is utilized. To mitigate these challenges, this paper introduces a novel Hybrid Flux Observation Model (NHFOM), founded on a voltage model in the synchronous rotating reference frame. Furthermore, this paper explores compensation strategies for phase deviation during model transition and proposes a delay time compensation strategy to mitigate the impact of control system delay on flux observation accuracy at high speeds. Experimental results affirm that the proposed NHFOM enhances the accuracy of flux observation and the dynamic response performance of the motor.
