Abstract:The modeling process of multiphase PMSM variable speed system was expressed in detail based on analyzing the characters of system.Furthermore,the two closed loops control modulation system for the six phase PMSM based on field oriented control were established.Some engineering problems for multiphase PMSM variable speed system also have been discussed,and the circuit of sampling,protection,and fault disposal were designed,moreover,the software of interrupt handling and fault diagnosis were designed.Finally,the simulation result proved the veracity and feasibility of modeling and algorithm above.The hardware circuit was also designed.

Abstract:Aiming to reduce the usage of rare-earth permanent magnet (PM), this paper proposes a novel outer rotor interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) with two types of PM material: ferrite and earth PM. The proposed motor has an outer rotor structure with two-layer crescent barriers. The ferrite PMs are filled into the middle of the crescent barriers with a thicker thickness while the rare-earth PMs are filled into the bilateral barriers with a thinner thickness. Comparisons have been investigated with the basic outer rotor IPMSMs, which only have one type of PM. Results indicate that the proposed hybrid structure can effectively utilize the reluctance torque and reduce almost half the usage of rare-earth PM while having a competitive performance.

Abstract:Direct driving system is a dominant development direction in the modern electromechanical system, and the permanent magnet disc synchronous motor (PMDSM) is considered as an attractive alternative for its high efficiency and torque density. In this paper, a novel PMDSM characterized by flux concentrating with fractional slot and concentrated winding is presented firstly, then the process of design and analysis of the motor is introduced to gain the optimal structure dimension for minimum cost price. Compared with the surface-mount PMDSM, the motor has better output performance.

Abstract:Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is widely used because of its simple structure, reliable operation, small size and high operating efficiency. In this paper, the structural optimization design of permanent magnet synchronous motor is analyzed, and the maximum torque is optimized while minimizing the moment of inertia, motor mass and cogging torque during the design by selecting the motor size. Under general conditions, the performance of the motor is greatly influenced permanent magnets, so this paper focuses on analyzing the influence of the shape and magnetization of the permanent magnet on the motor. Halbach magnets were the main design factors of high torque permanent magnet synchronous motors which arranged and combined permanent magnet blocks with different magnetization directions according to certain rules to obtain a more ideal unilateral magnetic field distribution, and the influence of magnetization angle and magnet size was studied. Finally, finite element simulation is proposed and verified by finite element simulation.

Abstract:In order to meet the needs of high precision drive control system in the field of ultra-precision machining,AC permanent magnet torque motor is developing towards high torque and low ripple,and there is still a big gap between domestic and foreign research.Therefore,according to the actual engineering needs,the structure of large torque,low pulsating AC permanent magnet torque motor was analyzed,and the motor based on the technical requirements was optimized.Finally,the method of finite element analysis was used to analyze the proposed AC permanent magnet torque motor,and verified the design of the motor overload capacity,the performance of cogging torque and the suppression of the ripple torque.The simulation results showed that the designed motor had excellent performance.

Abstract:The reverse-salient permanent magnet synchronous motors (RSPMSMs) exhibit remarkable potential for multi-mode applications owing to their wide constant-power speed range. Currently, the design of RSPMSMs predominantly relies on conventional methods, which necessitate extensive engineering expertise and consume substantial time. To address this problem, this paper proposes a novel rapid optimization design method for RSPMSMs. Initially, this paper establishes the correlation between design indexes and electromagnetic parameters. Subsequently, the relationship between structural dimensions and rotor radius is derived from electromagnetic and structural parameters. Finally, a comprehensive design method is formulated, encompassing the progression from design indexes to electromagnetic parameters and ultimately to structural parameters. To verify its effectiveness, the RSPMSMs are designed using both the proposed design method and the multi-objective optimization design method. A prototype is manufactured and tested. Simulation and experimental results show that the method can be engineered for rapid and precise optimization design. Moreover, the method can be extended to the design of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) under complex operating conditions.

Abstract:This paper proposed a nonlinear analytical model-embedded optimal design procedure for permanent-magnet synchronous motors with an external rotor. Combined with the winding inductance calculation, a refined magnetic circuit is proposed for the analytical prediction of the electromagnetic performance. The stator nonlinearity, which is significant in torque prediction, is considered by using the conception of saturation current. Then, ant colony algorithm is employed for the multi-objective optimization for the great potential in global exploring. Finally, optimal design parameters are selected from the Pareto front. The effectiveness of the proposed optimization design method is verified by finite-element analysis and experimental results of the manufactured prototype.

Abstract:In this paper, an inner rotor low speed permanent magnet motor LSPMM) for mine direct drive system is designed. Firstly, using the finite element approach, it analyses how the thickness of the permanent magnet and the pole arc coefficient affect electromagnetic properties. Secondly, the impact of various pole-slot ratios on the performance of the motor is then examined in three motors with varied pole-slot ratios. Finally, various approaches are employed to reduce the cogging torque of the motor. This paper aims to examine the impact of key design parameters on the electromagnetic performance of low-speed permanent magnet motors, thereby offering valuable insights for the design of LSPMM.

Abstract:In view of the unstable electromagnetic performance of the air gap magnetic field caused by the torque ripple and harmonic interference of a multi-slot and multi-pole low-speed, high-torque permanent magnet synchronous motor, we propose a simplified model of double-layer permanent magnets. The model is divided into an upper and a lower subdomain, with the upper subdomain being an ideal circular ring and the lower subdomain being a segmented sector ring. Moreover, we develop an exact analytical model of the motor that predicts the magnetic field distribution based on Laplace's and Poisson's equations, which is solved using the method of separating variables. Taking a 40p168s low-speed, high-torque permanent magnet synchronous motor as an example, the accuracy of the model is verified by comparison with an ideal circular ring model, a segmented sector ring model, and the finite element method. Based on the proposed simplified model, three combined permanent magnets considering both edge-cutting and polar arc cutting structures are proposed, which are chamfered, rounded, and rectangular combinations. Under the premise of a consistent edge-cutting amount, the electromagnetic characteristics of the three combination types of permanent magnets are compared using the finite element method. The results show that the electromagnetic characteristics of the chamfered combination PM are superior to those of the other two combinations. Finally, a prototype is manufactured and tested to validate the theoretical analysis.

Abstract:This paper presents the design and simulation of a novel magnetic-geared outer-rotor permanent magnet (PM) brushless motor for direct drive with low speed. The proposed motor artfully integrates the magnetic gear and PM brushless machine. It can reduce the normal electric synchronous speed to a low operation speed and the motor can be controlled conveniently. A 136 rpm 5 Nm prototype is successfully designed and analyzed. Its performance is verified with finite element method (FEM).

Abstract:This paper was designed and optimized the drive system of CNC gear measurement center permanent magnet synchronous motor.And it was analyzed the id = 0 current control method of vector control principle and method of speed measurement,also SVPWM and adaptive fuzzy PI control of speed loop were adopted in this article,compared with the traditional PI control,it was eliminated the steady-state error,improved the system response speed,reduced the overshoot,made the system have a good dynamic and static characteristics.The Matlab/Simulink Simulation and experiment showed that the motor can stably operate in low-speed and verified the feasibility of the drive system design.

Abstract:This paper introduces a new method to design Permanent-Magnet(PM)material of PMS motor,ANSYS is used to analysis the finite-element of the motor and obtain a flux leakage coefficient that iss very important to work out the dimensions of the PM material. A prototype was tested to compare with a simulation of the PMS motor that is the same with the prototype.As a result,it's verified that the designs and simulations are accurate and can be applied for produce.

Abstract:The paper propose an outer-rotor permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) with peak torque of 3000N.m. The position measuring system based on CPLD and dual magnetic sensor is developed. This system can handle two channel signals obtained from two sensor heads, and provides correct and reliable position feedback signals for the motor control. According to the mathematical model of the PMSM, full digital high precision control system with triple feed back closed loops are designed and implemented in experimental evaluation. The test results validate that the system is feasible and the control precision can reach 1.5 arc-second.

Abstract:High-torque and low-speed electrical drives are often employed for applications where mechanical gearing cannot be accommodated. On the other hand, permanent-magnet (PM) gear has drawn significant attention from both academies and industries due to the conspicuous merits, such as reduced acoustic noise, maintenance free, improved reliability, precise peak torque transmission capability, and inherent overload protection. In this paper, a magnetic-geared PM brushless motor is presented. It is a novel low-speed and high-torque motor which merges the advantages of conventional PM brushless motor and PM gear. Its topology and operation principle are introduced. Some techniques are employed to optimize and improve the motor performance, while the validity of the proposed techniques is verified with finite-element analysis. Moreover, an alternative operation condition, which can further reduce the motor speed and increase its output torque, is proposed and analyzed.

Abstract:Owing to the non-accuracy of the magnetic circuit calculation of the PM synchronous machines by the traditional field-path coupling method, the Maxwell 12, a kind of new designing software for the PM synchronous machines was applied to realize the design optimization for the PM synchronous machines. First, the magnetic method software, Rmxprt was used to analyze the affection to the motor performance caused by the magnetized direction of permanent magnet length and gap. Then, the finite element analysis software of Maxwell 12 was applied to simulate the electromagnetic field of the PM synchronous motor, judging the rationality of the design. Finally, came the design optimization by means of the combined method.

Abstract:This paper proposed an efficient high-accuracy multidisciplinary design process for the integrated system of low speed permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The method combined the analytical models and numerical models together to get an efficient way to design the integrated motor. In the proposed method, a magnetic equivalent circuit (MEC) model of the motor is established first based on one modular structure of the motor, and the finite element analysis (FEA) numerical model is used to correct the results of the analytical model next. Then the iron loss, copper loss, and switching loss from the results of the electromagnetic model are loaded to a proposed simplified lumped parameter fluid-thermal model. This fluid-thermal coupled analytical model cuts the fluid flow into several parts depends on the parameters of the cooling path, each parts act as a current controlled voltage source coupled with these parameters. And because this coupled model has controlled sources, the conventional node voltage method is not suitable anymore, so a more universal list parameter calculation method is proposed for this coupled model. Finally, the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model is used to correct the results of the analytical model as well. The aim of the above analytical models is to quickly get the suitable multidisciplinary pre-design or design trends, and this pre-work or trends will reduce the design process time of the high-accuracy numerical models.
