Abstract:This method retains the original identity identification function of RFID electronic tags while adding an external interface, supporting IIC-bus protocol, based on modular design and the RFID chip radio frequency, tiggers pins and communication interfaces to interact with external devices such as readers and main controllers. When the RFID electronic tag is working, the interrupt signal is triggered and transmitted to the master controller. After the master controller wakes up after receiving the interrupt signal, the master controller can obtain the data in the memory area of the tag chip through the IIC interface and directly perform the relevant operations. In addition, the trigger signal of the electronic tag can also be used for switching circuit control and other scenarios. This method realizes the organic combination of RFID electronic tags and the master controller. Compared with the use of Bluetooth, WIFI and other communication modules, it has the advantages of lower power consumption, lower cost and stronger environmental adaptability, and has expanded functions such as parameter presetting in the case of device power failure.

Current-sharing controller design for current-sharing interface circuits

Abstract:Current-sharing(CS) controllers were designed for the CS interface circuits by applying the existing current-sensing,current-programming and current-control techniques.Eight kinds of the CS controllers were developed and defined with using the different techniques.Two of them,"minimum-as-master plus pulse width modulation(PWM)" and "average plus hysteresis" CS controllers,were chosen for introduction. The two CS controllers with the other parts of the CS interface circuits were tested to investigate their steady-state CS performances and frequency characteristics.The simulation and experimental data agreed with the theoretical estimations.Then the features of the CS interface circuits with the two CS controllers were summarized.Both two CS interface circuits have good CS performances.Furthermore,the "minimum-as-master plus PWM" keeps its CS performance almost unchanged with the increase of its channel number.

Abstract:This paper presents the design and implementation of network controller which based on the Data Link Layer's specification of a lightweight sensor-oriented fieldbus protocol, that is sensor network protocol. The controller is packed with AVALON standard peripheral interface. It can be treated as a normal intellectual property core in project design, so that the operation on it is simplified as reading or writing on register. The test results show that the controller meets the requirements of the specification in the frame identification, arbitration, checking and so on. A follow-up application developing basement can be found easily on this controller.

Abstract:The existing I 2 C interfaces require significant CPU intervention for data communication. In SOC systems, when using internally integrated I 2 C modules as masters, software control of I/O ports is necessary to emulate the I 2 C protocol for data transmission. This paper proposes a Mini I 2 C bus interface circuit design scheme that supports both master and slave modes. The I 2 C interface features minimal CPU intervention during data transmission, ease of use, small circuit area, and low power consumption. Additionally, the internal state machine design employs independent finite state machines (FSMs) for master and slave modes, enabling flexible configuration of the I 2 C module to operate in either mode. In comparison to reference (ShenZhen in Microelectronics Technology CO.BJ8M306A, Datasheet.2019.12.2., 2019), the proposed I 2 C solution reduces CPU instructions by 50% during data transmission, and by 33% compared to reference (GigaDevice Semiconductor Inc. GD32F1x0, Datasheet, 2022). After DC synthesis, the proposed design occupies only 14% of the area and consumes only 3.6% of the power of the Open Source I 2 C Design (Forencich in verilog-i2c. GitHub repository. Retrieved from https://github.com/alexforencich/verilog-i2c, n.d.). Therefore, this design scheme is better suited for low-power systems. The proposed design was validated through simulation using Xilinx ISE 14.7 with a SPARTAN 3 FPGA model xc3s500e-5pq208, and finally implemented using Huahong 95 nm CMOS technology, demonstrating high integration and low power consumption.

Digital control technique for multi-module current source converter

Abstract:Three-phase current source PWM converters require tri-logic PWM control technique. From the point of view of digital control, implementation of tri-logic PWM, especially for multi-module current source converters (CSCpsilas), is much more complex than that for a single CSC. Aiming at digital controls of multi-module CSCpsilas, the digital solution of tri-logic SPWM scheme is investigated in this paper. A tri-logic carrier phase-shifted SPWM control system is presented based on DSP and FPGA hardware platform. The fully digital control of the multi-module CSCpsilas is realized. The experiment on a three-module current source inverter (CSI) with carrier phase-shifted SPWM gives the verification.

Abstract:I2C bus is a serial communication bus that is widely used in embedded system. It is based on SCL (Serial Clock Line) and SDA (Serial Data Line), to support bi-directional communication between multiple interconnected devices in a master-slave structure. Based on the traditional characteristics and operating principle of I2C protocol, this paper has proposed an innovative I2C-Compatible design for slave based on asynchronous circuit, which is compatible with standard I2C protocol. It is characterized by switchable communication speed, supporting a maximum speed of 3.4 Mbps, ultra-low power and small hardware cost. To ensure reliable communication system, a Schmitt-RC filter and the structure of fine-tuning phase are adopted in our design. After RTL simulation and logic synthesis, the design is verified on FPGA platform communicated with MCU I2C master interface, and finish Placement and Route. The proposed design is fabricated on Dongbu 0.18μm CMOS process, and the test on chip level is carried out after tape-out. The results show that the I2C bus for slave has excellent performance, power and area (PPA) compared with traditional I2C bus, which is very suitable for end-side devices in the IOT and Smart City.

It describes system architecture and detail design method of every sub-module and gives methods about function simulation, FPGA prototype verification, design for test and synthesis of this IP core. Abstract:To reduce the power dissipation and switching stress of high power IGBTs during switching transient, a new active gate drive method based on voltage controlled current source (VCCS) is proposed in this paper. Compared to the conventional gate drive (CGD) for IGBTs, the proposed current source gate drive (CSD) method achieves faster switching speed and effective control on current overshoot at turn-on and voltage overshoot at turn-off. Thus the capacity utilization of IGBT devices can be improved. The detailed operation principle of the proposed CSD method is presented, and the experiment results based on a 1200V/200A IGBT module are also provided.

Abstract:This paper introduces the design and realization of intelligent I/O modules in a small computer control system.The modules are based on SCM and CPLD,and they can be integrated smartly into different kinds of I/O modules.The modules have many intelligent functions such as scale and channel selecting,engineering data processing and fault diagnosis.The modules are connected to the computer control system through RS-485 data bus,and they communicate with MODBUS serial line protocol.The practice shows that the modules have the advantages of stable performances,high reliability and convenient usage.

Abstract:This paper presents a lightweight IEEE 1149.5 module test and maintenance bus slave module interface core, by which we can access the on-chip buses to get the status information and error log. Our slave module interface core supports core class commands and read-write class command, which can be used to access the different ports. In this work, we utilize the streamlined design and efficient implementation, so we just need less resource on a FPGA. Our design has been simulated in Modelsim and verified on a Xilinx Virtex-5 device.

Abstract:With IC fabrication technology reaching deep sub-micrometer,system-on-chip technology is widely used because of its high performance,small volume and low power consumption.And on chip bus is used for IP cores connection.This paper describes the design and implementation of VGA/LCD controller based on SoC.Use AHB bus of AMBA specification as on-chip bus architecture.Burst transfer,split transfer,ping-pong frame buffer switch and dual-clock FIFO clock control are involved to make the bus occupation rate as low as possible while ensuring the video image display.

Abstract:To solve uneven distribution of load currents and thermal stresses among the paralleled power modules, load share control technique was introduced in this paper. And a system solution based on the automatic master-slave control strategy was proposed. And then a controller IC was designed to realize the strategy. Abstract:Nowadays embedded systems are using a lot of different communication standards to transfer data such as USB, UART, SPI, I2C, etc. To be able to transfer data with each communication standard, the system needs at least one controller block for that communication standard. This has added to the complexity of the system and the cost of manufacturing hardware. Embedded systems only support SPI communication if desired, which can still be communicated with peripherals with I2C standard. However, the SPI cannot be directly connected to the I2C but must use a standard communication converter. This paper will primarily focus on designing an IP core communication standard converter from SPI to I2C using APB (Advanced Peripheral Bus) communication as one of the AMBA (Advanced Microcontroller Bus Architecture) communication sets. In particular, APB is a bus used to communicate with peripherals that do not require fast processing speeds such as UART, SPI, I2C, etc.

Abstract:A novel BLDCM commutation control ASIC is designed and implemented. This paper designs a novel commutation control system, which only detects zero crossing points of back EMF from two phases, and obtains the other commutation points by piecewise prediction algorithm, and designs adaptive threshold control algorithm for filtering the commutation interference signal. The novel method not only simplifies the circuit but also increases the stability of the system. The commutation control part has been designed as ASIC based on UMC 0.18um 1P6M Mixed-Mode 1.8V Twin-Well technology. The test results of control system based on ASIC show that the motor runs steadily and the algorithm is effective.

Theconfiguration of registers used in interface controller, the process of state transfer, and the realworking flow are described. The design is verified on FPGA level in IPo(DIP over DVB)project,it passes through pre-simulation and post-simulation, and it was synthesized with Fujitsu CE61 tech-nology library of 0.35mm.
