A Study on the Public Policy of Historic and Cultural Villages and Towns Conservation

Abstract:Public policy plays a key role in the conservation of historic vilages and smal towns. According to the natural, social, economic and cultural situation of historic vilages and smal towns, the public policy should be made to conserve the culture heritage of vilages and smal towns, improve residents' living level and to raise their conservation awareness of culture heritage. The public policies include land policy, economic policy, traditional buildings reuse, intangible culture protection and industry guidance policy etc.
