Abstract:This paper does not claim to prove the Goldbach conjecture, but it does provide a new way of proof (LiKe sequence); And in detailed introduces the proof process of this method: by indirect transformation, Goldbach conjecture is transformed to prove that, for any odd prime sequence (3, 5, 7, …, Pn), there must have no LiKe sequence when the terms must be less than 3 × Pn. This method only studies prime numbers and corresponding composite numbers, replaced the relationship between even numbers and indeterminate prime numbers. In order to illustrate the importance of the idea of transforming the addition problem into the multiplication problem, we take the twin prime conjecture as an example and know there must exist twin primes in the interval [3 Pn, P 2 n]. This idea is very important for the study of Goldbach conjecture and twin prime conjecture. It’s worth further study.

Abstract:Let $N$ denote a sufficiently large even integer, we define $D_{1,2}(N)$ as the same as those in previous articles about Chen's theorem. In this paper, we show that $D_{1,2}(N) \geqslant 1.733 \frac{C(N) N}{(\log N)^2}$, improving previous record of Wu about $93\%$. We also get similar results on twin prime problem and additive representations of integers. An important step in the proof is the application of the theorems of Lichtman.

Abstract:The Goldbach conjecture, one of the oldest problems in mathematics, has fascinated and inspired many mathematicians for ages. In 1742 a German mathematician Christian Goldbach, in a letter addressed to Leonhard Euler proposed a conjecture. The modern day version of the Binary/Strong Goldbach conjecture asserts that: Every even integer greater than 2 can be written as the sum of two primes. The conjecture had been empirically verified up to 4× 10 18 , its proof however remains elusive, which seems to confirm that: Some problems in mathematics remain buried deep in the catacombs of slow progress ... mind stretching mysteries await to be discovered beyond the boundaries of former thought. The research methodogy explores a number of topics, before the definite proof of the Goldbach Conjecture can be presented. The Ternary Goldbach Conjecture Corollary follows the proof of the Binary Goldbach Conjecture as well as the Representation of even numbers by the difference of two primes Corollary. The research demonstrates that the Goldbach Conjecture is a genuine arithmetical question.

Abstract:The ternary Goldbach conjecture, or three-primes problem, states that every odd number $n$ greater than $5$ can be written as the sum of three primes. The conjecture, posed in 1742, remained unsolved until now, in spite of great progress in the twentieth century. In 2013 -- following a line of research pioneered and developed by Hardy, Littlewood and Vinogradov, among others -- the author proved the conjecture. In this, as in many other additive problems, what is at issue is really the proper usage of the limited information we possess on the distribution of prime numbers. The problem serves as a test and whetting-stone for techniques in analysis and number theory -- and also as an incentive to think about the relations between existing techniques with greater clarity. We will go over the main ideas of the proof. The basic approach is based on the circle method, the large sieve and exponential sums. For the purposes of this overview, we will not need to work with explicit constants; however, we will discuss what makes certain strategies and procedures not just effective, but efficient, in the sense of leading to good constants. Still, our focus will be on qualitative improvements.

Abstract:Through the in-depth reading of the proposition of the Goldbach conjecture, the paper holds that the proof of the screening method is not in line with the meaning of the question, and thus puts forward the proof of the function method. In this paper, two independent linear prime functions of two variables p1and p2are constructed in the variable interval [1, 2m], and then two equivalent linear even functions of two variables N and 2m are logically deduced. The present study came to a consistent conclusion based on the qualitative and quantitative analysis of these two equivalent even functions: in the same definitive domain (greater than 2), the equations N = 2m must be established. From this, it is deduced that 2m=p1+p2 surely is set up.

Abstract:This article consists of three chapters.In Chapter 1, it is determined by the consecutive odd numbers, and study to the intrinsic properties of a class of matrix sequence. Through the establishment of matrix online number concept, characteristics and the online number column use mathematical induction to prove the some properties of this kind of matrix on the number of online features (Theorem 1). Finally, it is given a trial to prove the Goldbach conjecture (Theorem 6). This is the author in the years to explore prime properties in the process of research and discovery, and believe that this finding is of great significance.In Chapter 2, it is defined the concepts of matrix master characteristic number and the Matrix Master Characteristic Sequence (Definition 1). Firstly, we prove that any even number can be expressed as for the difference of two odd prime numbers at least two groups (Theorem 4). Secondly, we prove that there are infinitely many odd prime numbers separated by four (Theorem 9). Finally, we prove that if there is greater than 1 in the intersection by S(3) and s(2m+3) for any natural number m, so that there are infinitely many odd prime numbers separated by 2m(Theorem11). The results will undoubtedly promote the research for Polignac conjecture.In Chapter 3, mainly as a result of any odd natural number a, the intersection by S(a) and s(a+2) is not empty number set, and there are far more than 1 number in the set, where S(a)={k,If 2k+a be prime as k be natural number},and P is a prime number set, N is natural number set. we prove that there are an infinite number of twin prime, and then solve the problem of the twin primes in number theory.

Abstract:It is shown that if every odd integer $n > 5$ is the sum of three primes, then every even integer $n > 2$ is the sum of two primes. A conditional proof of Goldbach's conjecture, based on Cramér's conjecture, is presented. Theoretical and experimental results available on Goldbach's conjecture allow that a less restrictive conjecture than Cramér's conjecture be used in the conditional proof. A basic result of the Maier's paper on Cramér's model is criticized.

Abstract:This paper is a first of the series of three papers which provide a general proof to validate the Goldbach conjecture. This conjecture states that every even number can be expressed as a summation of two prime numbers. At the onset, concept of successive-addition of‐digits‐of‐an‐integer‐number (SADN) and its properties in terms of basic algebraic functions like addition, multiplication and subtraction are discussed. SADN classifies odd numbers into 3 sequences—the S1, S3 and S5 sequences—which comprise of odd numbers having SADN 7 or 4 or 1; SADN 3 or 9 or 6 and SADN 5 or 2 or 8 respectively. The S1 and S5 sequences are of interest in the analysis. Furthermore, composites on the S1 sequence are derived as products of intra-sequence elements of the S1 and S5 sequences while composites on the S5 sequence are derived as products of inter-sequence elements of the S1 and S5 sequences. SADN also shows why such combinations for even numbers of SADN (1, 4, 7) will be found on the S5 sequence while those for even numbers of SADN (2, 5, 8) will lie on the S1 sequence and both the sequences have a role to play in identifying the prime number combinations for even numbers with SADN (3, 6, 9). Thereafter, analysis moves to calculating the total number of combinations for a given even number that would include combinations in the nature of two composites (c1 + c2); prime & composite (p + c) and two primes (p1 + p2). Identifying the total number of c1 + c2 and p + c combinations yield the number of p1 + p2 combinations. The logic employed in present discussion shows that at least one such p1 + p2 combination exists for the even numbers having SADN digit within 1 to 9. This encompasses all even numbers and hence generalizes this method for all even numbers.

Abstract:In this paper, using an algebraic approach, it is intended to show that the Goldbach's and Twin primes conjectures are true, building, for each $m>2$, an isomorphism between posets. One of the posets is the set of coprimes less than $m$, while the other is endowed with an operation that grants it an abelian group structure. Special features of this operation are demonstrated in the document, which allow characterizing the even numbers, as if they were their fingerprint; furthermore, such an operation locates, in a natural way, the pairs that satisfy the conjecture. Moreover, an algorithm that generates pairs of numbers that satisfy the conjecture is presented, and examples of some of the beautiful symmetries of the orbits of cyclic subgroups are shown, for the proposed abelian group.

An Algebraic Approach to the Goldbach and Polignac Conjectures

Abstract:This paper will give both the necessary and sufficient conditions required to find a counter-example to the Goldbach Conjecture by using an algebraic approach where no knowledge of the gaps between prime numbers is needed. To eliminate ambiguity the set of natural numbers, $\mathbb{N}$, will include zero throughout this paper. It will be shown there exists a counter-example to the Goldbach Conjecture, given by $2a$ where $a \in \mathbb{N}_{> 3}$, if and only if for each prime $p_i < a$ there exists some unique $q_i, \alpha_i \in \mathbb{N}$ where $a < q_i < 2a$ and $2a = q_i + p_i$ along with the condition that $\prod_{i = 1}^{\pi(a)}q_i = \prod_{i = 1}^{\pi(a)}p_i^{\alpha_i}$. A substitution of $q_i = 2a - p_i$ for each $q_i$ from each sum gives the product relationship $\prod_{i = 1}^{\pi(a)}(2a - p_i) = \prod_{i = 1}^{\pi(a)}p_i^{\alpha_i}$. Therefore, if a counter-example exists to the Goldbach Conjecture, then there exists a mapping $\mathcal{G}_-:\mathbb{C} \to \mathbb{C}$ where $$\mathcal{G}_-(z) = \prod_{i = 1}^{\pi(a)}(z - p_i) - \prod_{i = 1}^{\pi(a)}p_i^{\alpha_i}$$ and $\mathcal{G}_-(2a) = 0$. A proof of the Goldbach Conjecture will be given utilizing Hensel's Lemma to show $2a$ must be of the form $2a = p_i^{\alpha_i} + p_i$ for all primes up to $a$ when $a > 3$. However, this leads to contradiction since $2a < a\#$ for all $a > 4$. A similar method will be employed to give the necessary and sufficient conditions when an even number is not the difference of two primes with one prime being less than that even number. These proofs will have implications for proving the Polignac Conjecture.

Proof of the Goldbach's Strong Conjecture by Using Semi-Continuous Model of Even Numbers

Abstract:In this paper, we present an explicit and analytic proof for still unproven Goldbach's strong conjecture. To derive this proof, we first define a heuristic model for representing even numbers called Semi-continuous Model for Even Numbers or briefly S.C.E Model, and then we employ this model along with using the inequality \begin{center} $\dfrac{x}{\ln x}\leq_{x\geq 17}\pi(x)\leq_{x>1}1.2251\dfrac{x}{\ln x}$, \end{center} where $\pi(x)$ denotes the number of all primes smaller than and equal to $x$, and is presented by Pierre Dusart in his paper [P. Dusart, \textit{Explicit estimates of some functions over primes}, Ramanujan J. \textbf{45} (2016), No. 1, 227--251]. On the one hand, this proof is given for all even numbers $E\geq22864$. On the other hand, since the assertion of Goldbach's strong conjecture is easy to verify for all even numbers $4\leq E<22864$, we turn this conjecture into a theorem.

Abstract:We give a new and self-contained proof for an alternative form of Tunnell’s theorem on congruent numbers. The proof relies on more knowledge on quadratic forms with less calculation than Tunnell’s proof. The approach is based on our observation that the equality $$\#\{(x,y,z,w) \in \mathbb {Z}^4|p=2x^2+3y^2+3z^2+4w^2+2yz\}=\#\{(x,y,z) \in \mathbb {Z}^3|p^2=2x^2+4y^2+9z^2-4yz\}$$ holds for any odd prime p. The same method is applied to the elliptic curves $$E_n:~y^2=x^3+n^2x$$ and $$E_{n}:~~y^2=x(x-n)(x+3n)(E_{-n}:~~y^2=x(x+n)(x-3n))$$ ( $$\pi /3$$ ( $$2\pi /3$$ )-congruent elliptic curves), where we list, without proof, the analogous results. A series of criteria for congruent numbers are given. In particular, for a prime p, we show that if $$p\equiv 1\pmod {8}$$ is a congruent number then the 8-rank of $$K_2O_{\mathbb {Q}(\sqrt{p})}$$ equals one; if $$p\equiv 1\pmod {16}$$ with $$h(-p)\not \equiv h(-2p)\pmod {16}$$ then 2p is not a congruent number; and if $$p\equiv 1, q\equiv 3\pmod {8}$$ are two primes with $$h(-pq)\not \equiv h(-p)\pmod {8}$$ then pq is not a congruent number.

Abstract:In the present work we prove a number of surprising results about gaps between consecutive primes and arithmetic progressions in the sequence of generalized twin primes which could not have been proven without the recent fantastic achievement of Yitang Zhang about the existence of bounded gaps between consecutive primes. Most of these results would have belonged to the category of science fiction a decade ago. However, the presented results are far from being immediate consequences of Zhang's famous theorem: they require various new ideas, other important properties of the applied sieve function and a closer analysis of the methods of Goldston-Pintz-Yildirim, Green-Tao, and Zhang, respectively.
