Abstract:We first define what is called a quasi-attractive analytic transformation. Then, by adapting some new local invariants for analytic transformations tangent to the identity to the semi-attractive and quasi-attractive cases, we provide new sufficient conditions for the existence of attracting domains for semi-attractive and quasi-attractive analytic transformations.

Abstract:Let F be an analytic transformation of Cn, with the origin O as a quasi-parabolic fixed point. We will associate an invariant, order ν(F), to F and study the local dynamics of F when it has a non-degenerate characteristic direction [v] and is dynamically separating in the direction [v]. We show that for such F there exist at least ν(F)−1 parabolic curves tangent to [v] at the origin. We also study a non-dynamically-separating example in details.

Abstract:We first show that for a bounded pseudoconvex domain with a manifold quotient of finite-volume in the sense of Kahler-Einstein measure, the identity component of the automorphism group of this domain is semi-simple without compact factors. This partially answers an open question in [Fra95]. Then we apply this result in different settings to solve several open problems, for examples, (1). We prove that the automorphism group of the Griffiths domain [Gri71] in ℂ^2 is discrete. This gives a complete answer to an open question raised four decades ago. (2). We show that for a contractible HHR/USq complex manifold D with a finite-volume manifold quotient M, if D contains a one-parameter group of holomorphic automorphisms and the fundamental group of M is irreducible, then D is biholomorphic to a bounded symmetric domain. This theorem can be viewed as a finite-volume version of Nadel-Frankel's solution for the Kahzdan conjecture, which has been open for years. (3). We show that for a bounded convex domain D⊂ℂ^n of C^2-smooth boundary, if D has a finite-volume manifold quotient with an irreducible fundamental group, then D is biholomorphic to the unit ball in ℂ^n, which partially solves an old conjecture of Yau. For (2) and (3) above, if the complex dimension is equal to 2, more refined results will be provided.

Abstract:We study the local dynamics of holomorphic maps f in Cn tangent to the identity at a fixed point p with a non-degenerate characteristic direction [v]. In [M. Hakim, Analytic transformation of (Cp, 0) tangent to the identity, Duke Math. J.92 (1998) 403–428], n - 1 invariants αj, 1 ≤ j ≤ n - 1, called the directors, were associated to [v] and it was shown that if Re αj > 0 for all j then f has an attracting domain at p tangent to [v]. In this paper, we study the case Re αj = 0 for some j. With the help of a new invariant μ called the non-dicritical order, we show that f has an attracting domain at p tangent to [v] if μ ≥ 1. We also study the "spiral domains" when μ = 0. For n = 2, we show that f has an attracting domain at p tangent to [v] if and only if either the director α > 0 or μ ≥ 1.

Abstract:It is known that automorphisms of quasi-circular domains fixing the origin are polynomial mappings. By introducing the so-called resonance order and quasi-resonance order, we provide a uniform upper bound for the degree of such polynomial automorphisms. As a particular consequence of our result, we obtain a generalization of the classical Cartan's theorem for circular domains to the quasi-circular case.

Abstract:We prove that a holomorphic fixed point germ in two complex variables, tangent to the identity, and whose only characteristic direction is non-degenerate, has a domain of attraction on which the map is conjugate to a translation. In the case of a global automorphism, the corresponding domain of attraction is a Fatou-Bieberbach domain.

Abstract:Let $f$ be a holomorphic endomorphism of $\mathbb P^k$ of degree $d.$ For each quasi-attractor of $f$ we construct a finite set of currents with attractive behaviors. To every such an attracting current is associated an equilibrium measure which allows for a systematic ergodic theoretical approach in the study of quasi-attractors of $\mathbb P^k.$ As a consequence, we deduce that there exist at most countably many quasi-attractors, each one with topological entropy equal to a multiple of $\log d.$ We also show that the study of these analytic objects can initiate a bifurcation theory for attracting sets.

Abstract:We show that wandering domains can exist in the Fatou set of a polynomial type quasiregular mapping of the plane. We also give an example of a quasiregular mapping of the plane, with an essential singularity at infinity, which has a sequence of wandering domains contained in a bounded part of the plane. This contrasts with the situation in the analytic case, where wandering domains are impossible for polynomials and, for transcendental entire functions, the existence of wandering domains in a bounded part of the plane has been an open problem for many years.

Abstract:In this paper, we show the [Formula: see text] regularity of divergence form parabolic equations on time-dependent quasiconvex domains. The objective is to study the optimal parabolic boundary condition for the Lp estimates. The time-dependent quasiconvex domain is a generalization of the time-dependent Reifenberg flat domain, and assesses some properties analog to the convex domain. As to the a priori estimates near the boundary, we will apply the maximal function technique, Vitali covering lemma and the compactness method.

Abstract:In this paper we study the geometry of the attractors of holomorphic maps with an irrationally indifferent fixed point. We prove that for an open set of such holomorphic systems, the local attractor at the fixed point has Hausdorff dimension two, provided the asymptotic rotation at the fixed point is of sufficiently high type and does not belong to Herman numbers. As an immediate corollary, the Hausdorff dimension of the Julia set of any such rational map with a Cremer fixed point is equal to two. Moreover, we show that for a class of asymptotic rotation numbers, the attractor satisfies Karpinska's dimension paradox. That is, the the set of end points of the attractor has dimension two, but without those end points, the dimension drops to one.
The wandering domain problem for attracting polynomial skew products

Abstract: Wandering Fatou components were recently constructed by Astorg et al for higher dimensional holomorphic maps on projective spaces. Their examples are polynomial skew products with a parabolic invariant line. In this paper we study this wandering domain problem for polynomial skew product $f$ with an attracting invariant line $L$ (which is the more common case). We show that if $f$ is unicritical (in the sense that the critical curve has a unique transversal intersection with $L$), then every Fatou component of $f$ in the basin of $L$ is an extension of a one-dimensional Fatou component of $f|_L$. As a corollary there is no wandering Fatou component. We will also discuss the multicritical case under additional assumptions.

Abstract:Using the novel notion of parablender, P. Berger proved that the existence of finitely many attractors is not Kolmogorov typical in parametric families of diffeomorphisms. Here, motivated by the concept of Newhouse domains we define Berger domains for families of diffeomorphisms. As an application, we show that the coexistence of infinitely many attracting invariant smooth circles is Kolmogorov typical in certain non-sectionally dissipative Berger domains of parametric families in dimension three or greater.

Abstract:We study the asymptotic behavior of a class of non-autonomous non-local fractional stochastic parabolic equation driven by multiplicative white noise on the entire space R-n. We first prove the pathwise well-posedness of the equation and define a continuous non-autonomous cocycle in L-2(R-n). We then prove the existence and uniqueness of tempered pullback attractors for the cocycle under certain dissipative conditions. The periodicity of the tempered attractors is also proved when the deterministic non-autonomous external terms are periodic in time. The pullback asymptotic compactness of the cocycle in L-2(R-n) is established by the uniform estimates on the tails of solutions for sufficiently large space and time variables.
