Research on the C30 and C40 concretes prepared with low-quality raw materials

Abstract:C30 and C40 self-compacting concretes with low-quality cement and aggregates were prepared by using superplasticizer containing viscosity modifier.The cement content and water to cement ratio of the self-compacting concrete are lower than those of the pumping concrete,but its sand ratio is much higher than that of the pumping concrete.The results show that the workability of the self-compacting concrete is excellent.The strength,elastic modulus,drying shrinkage,anti-permeability to iron chloride,and anti-carbona-tion of the self-compacting concrete are close to those of the pumping concrete in the same strength grade.
