In an inspiring work (Asian J. Math., vol. 1, pp. 230-248, 1997), Ding, Jost, Li and Wang obtained a sufficient condition under which <math alttext="upper J"> <semantics> <mi>J</mi> <annotation>J</annotation> </semantics> </math> achieves its minimum. In this note, we prove that if the smooth function <math alttext="h"> <semantics> <mi>h</mi> <annotation>h</annotation> </semantics> </math> satisfies <math alttext="h greater-than-or-equal-to 0"> <semantics> <mrow> <mi>h</mi> <mo> ≥ </mo> <mn>0</mn> </mrow> <annotation>h\geq 0</annotation> </semantics> </math> and <math alttext="h not-identical-to 0"> <semantics> <mrow> <mi>h</mi> <mo>≢</mo> <mn>0</mn> </mrow> <annotation>h\not \equiv 0</annotation> </semantics> </math> , then the above result still holds. Our method is to exclude blow-up points on the zero set of <math alttext="h"> <semantics> <mi>h</mi> <annotation>h</annotation> </semantics> </math> . </p>
