Abstract:The cultivation of practice and innovation ability for students during the higher education is an important issue. The current problems existed in the practice teaching of food science and engineering specialty were pointed out. Combined the exploration on practice teaching reform for food science in our school in recent years, the creative spirit and innovative ability of food science and engineering were discussed from the following aspects: the concept changes of practice teaching, practice consciousness education of students, reform of experimental teaching system and content, improvement of teaching and assessment methods, construction of teaching staff, laboratory opening, formation of research teams and build engineering experimental center, and so on. The practical teaching reform and innovation, and achieved certain results were discussed.
