Abstract:Courses of light industry and food sciences belong to the practical subjects, the traditional teaching mode of these courses is to have theoretical classes and experimental classes separately. Food Seasoning and Sensory Analysis was selected as the study unit. According to the main problems occurred in the teaching practice of Food Seasoning and Sensory Analysis, combining with the advantages of scene teaching, a novel Class Model experimental teaching mode for the course was constructed by altering the traditional teaching mode which separated the theoretical course and experimental course apart. Teaching practice showed that under the innovative teaching mode, the enthusiasm and initiative of the students in class were greatly improved, mastery of knowledge was stronger and as a result the teaching quality was greatly improved. The practical teaching experience could also be extended to various related subjects in chemistry and food sciences.
