Sociological Explanations of the Problem of "Losing the Only Child"

Abstract:The family planning policy contributes to the avoidance of population crisis in China,but it also brings the problem of losing the only child.The one-birth policy,high social risks,irrational family education and deficiency of social security for the old oflosing the only childmake the problem oflosing the only childserious.It is argued that the solution to the problem requires the government's adjustment of birth-control policy and perfection of social security measures as well the only child's family's change of family education and the interaction between the old who have lost their only child for the sake of pressure relief.
