Abstract:The polythiophene/inorganic nanocomposites are classified according to the dimensions of each component. The preparation methods for such composites are reviewed. Besides the inherent properties of both polythiothene and inorganic matter,the excellent properties,such as electrical property and optical property,which arose from the synergism of the nanocomposites are emphasized. The mechanisms of enhancing performance are elaborated on the molecular scale.

Abstract:Abstract Silica (SiO 2 ) is one of the most promising inorganic nanofillers, and it has been widely used in the preparation of polymer nanocomposites due to its adjustable morphology, large specific surface area, and ease of functionalization. The surface modification, structural characteristics, and bonding mechanisms of SiO 2 are crucial in enhancing the overall performance of polymer nanocomposites. This review focuses on summarizing the recent progress made regarding the preparation and structure characterization methods, unique properties, and rheological behavior of SiO 2 /polymer nanocomposites. In addition, the latest applications of SiO 2 /polymer nanocomposites in coatings, smart devices, biomedicine, and environment are further explored. A comprehensive summary of the main challenges, opportunities, and perspectives regarding SiO 2 /polymer nanocomposites is also presented.

Abstract:The preparation methods, properties and application prospect of multifunctional polyaniline/polymer nanocomposites are reviewed based on the latest literature and the studies of our group. Polyaniline/polymer nanocomposites can be prepared by simple mixing nanosize polyaniline dispersion with matrix polymer solution,via a continuous coating technique or by in-situ polymerization of aniline in the presence of matrix polymer,such as dispersion polymerization, template-guided polymerization or electrohydrodynamic polymerization. Polyaniline/polymer nanocomposites have showed broad prospect of applications in various fields such as transparent electroconducting plastic films, antistatic coatings, electroconducting fibers, electroluminescent devices, electromagnetic interference shielding materials.

Abstract:In recent years, the design, preparation and application progress of polymer-inorganic nanoparticles composite microspheres have attracted many scholars' widely attention and deep exploration. Preparation of polymer-inorganic nanoparticles composite microspheres via monomer polymerization methods was reviewed, including suspension polymerization, emulsion polymerization(microemulsion polymerization, pickering emulsion polymerization, miniemulsion polymerization, reverse emulsion polymerization, soapless emulsion polymerization), dispersion polymerization and solution polymerization. The applications of these materials in the fields of biological medicine, optoelectronic materials, protective coating and catalyst were described. Finally, the future trends of polymer-inorganic nanoparticles composite microspheres were prospected.
