Abstract:Open-close mould mechanism is the key part of glassware pressing machine. The present pressing machine adopts whole mould and two-part open mould and can only form glassware with simple shape and monotone pattern. Two new types of open-close mould, namely hinged type and lotiform type, are designed. Their principle and working process are presented in details and the collision checking and dynamics simulation for the mechanism are performed by virtual prototype. The physical prototype is under trial manufacture. The new types of open-close mould mechanism can form glassware with complex shape and greatly increase the range of products that can be manufactured.

Abstract:In the open-die forging process, the forging manipulator must cooperate closely with the forging press. Terrible working conditions of open-die forging have resulted in significant demand on the hydraulic control systems of the forging manipulator. This article analyzes the characteristics of major-motion hydraulic systems with the aim of proposing a novel hybrid serial–parallel heavy-duty forging manipulator. Kinematic and dynamic models of the major-motion mechanism are developed to investigate the control and comply with performance of hydraulic lifting, pitching, and buffering systems. Simulation shows that the three hydraulic systems are coupled in the position and posture control of the clamp. A separate posture control method based on the characteristic of the major-motion mechanism is designed for the hydraulic systems, and the position tracking performance of the hydraulic systems is studied in a stretching process of a plat-tool.

Abstract:Blow-molding machines are divided into two types: (1) rotary type blow-molding machine, and (2) linear type blow-molding machine. Good kinematic characteristics of mold clamping mechanism is the goal pursued by manufacturers of blow-molding machine. Traditionally, the mold clamping mechanism has only one dead-position configuration for the mold in the closed position. When the mold is in the open position, the mold clamping mechanism does not have dead-position configuration. This study focuses on the design of mold clamping mechanisms with two dead-position configurations when the mold is in open and closed positions. Firstly, with reference to the existing patents, based on the Yan's creative design methodology, four design concepts of mold clamping mechanisms are synthesized. Then, according to the studies on kinematics of mechanisms, three mold clamping mechanisms with two dead-position configurations are also synthesized. The results of this paper will enhance the research and development (R&D) capability of the mold clamping mechanisms to improve industrial competitiveness.

Abstract:Mechanical press is a machine tool suitable for cold stamping processes such as,drawing,forming,bending,punching,etc.First,the current press linkages were categorized.Then,a modular performance analysis method was proposed based on the Assur's groups,based on which a modular program was constructed for the kinematic performance analysis of multi-link mechanical presses.Finally,two examples,i.e.,six-link double-knuckle press and eight-link double-knuckle servo press,were given to illustrate the proposed method and program.The research is helpful to the linkage design of multi-link mechanical presses.

Abstract:Energy saving,clean,low noise and good control performance are the characteristics of all-electric Precise Injection Molding Machines.It will be the mainstream equipment in the injection molding industry.Based on the structural features,the all-electric precise injection molding machines developed recently in China were introduced.Based on two aspects of principle and structure,the influences of electric-hydraulic hybrid type,elbow-pole type,electrodynamic type and hybrid drive type clamping units on the efficiency of injection machines and products accuracy were compared and analyzed.At last,the developing trend of the all-electric precise injection molding machines and clamping units were expouned,thus the optimum closing speed,locking pressure and overall dimension could be obtained based on energy conservation,environmental protection,high efficiency and precision.

Abstract:In this work SolidWorks software was used to design the mold structure of model 209 all-open easy open lid. Firstly, the high-speed forming process of basic lid and finished lid in model 209 all-open easy open lid was analyzed. Then the mold design for its auxiliary engraving line and stop-slip point was carried out, and the convex and concave die of the first station was theoretically analyzed. Finally, the 3D mold structure design for the basic cover, finished cover and pull ring was carried out, and 209 type fully open type easy open cover general assembly drawing was designed. Some practical problems such as interference and position relation ware solved in die design. It has certain guiding significance to the design of easy opening lid.

Abstract:In order to ensure the manufacturing precision of an ultra-precision high speed press, an integrated thermo-mechanical coupling model of its actuating mechanism is proposed, which includes the mechanical models of the slider and crankshaft, the thermal models for calculating the heat generation powers at different bearings as well as the heat transfer and heat dissipation in the actuating mechanism. The validity of the proposed thermo-mechanical coupling model is verified by a thermal equilibrium experiment when the press operates under the full load of 3000kN at 300 rpm. A sensitivity analysis is conducted to investigate the simulation errors resulting from the variation of the ambient temperature, the results of which demonstrate that the average ambient temperature should be applied for improving simulation accuracy. Then the thermal stiffness of the actuating mechanism and the thermo-mechanical coupling characteristics of different parts are analyzed by the proposed model with the average ambient temperature applied. The influences of the thermally induced loads on the thermal stiffness are discussed in detail. It is concluded that the temperature rise of the actuating mechanism in the stamping process of a high speed press should be fully considered in the design phase for ensuring its manufacturing precision.

Abstract:The packing element of traditional packer is made of rubber material with the problems of small inner drift diameter, low temperature and pressure resistance and short life. Therefore, nickel-titanium alloy is used to meet the demand of packer by analyzing the material performance. The structure and size of new packer are designed, and through mechanism structure test, the key structure parameters of the packer are determined. The helical pressing machine of 1×104 kN is used to press the blank part of metal packer and the finite-element simulation of pressing is carried out, which solves the problem of cracking during heat pressing. By test study, finite-element simulation and mechanical analysis, the structure and treatment technique of packer are improved, making its setting and releasing meet the application demand. In addition, the sealing and hanging force of the packer can meet the demand.

Abstract:The clamping mechanism motion condition of die-casting machine is very important to the whole die-casting machine. In order to analyze the relationship between the output force of clamping mechanism and displacement of hydraulic cylinder, the whole clamping mechanism model is established. By the software ADAMS (Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical System) simulation, the all kinds of characteristics are got. Through the comparison, the best displacement by the output force is derived. In the end, on the basis of the result of the analysis, the stress condition of clamping mechanism confirms the rationality.

Abstract:The working principle and advantages and weaknesses of traditional crank-slide mechanism used by the turret punch presses were analyzed briefly.The principle and advantages of knuckle mechanism were elaborated.Based on the background of appli-cation research of high-speed turret punch presses with 20 kN nominal pressure,25 mm slide stroke,4 mm slide block nominal pres-sure stroke,three different kinds of knuckle mechanisms were designed,and their kinematics models were built respectively.Then each structure size for the three different kinds of working mechanisms was gotten respectively through the optimization by computer, with 25 mm slide stroke as a condition of constraints and by the optimal aim of achieving minimum of their max slide velocity in their 4mm slide block nominal pressure stroke.And then their 3D structural models were built up,and their different parameters were ana-lyzed and compared including the slide displacement,velocity and slide acceleration,and so on.The analysis results show that the synthetic performance of the “link curve”type of six-bar linkage among these three kinds is the best.

Abstract:Based on the application of mechanical presses with 800kN nominal pressure,130mm slide stroke,5mm slide block nominal pressure stroke and 75/min slide stroke frequency,this article designs three common working mechanism of toggle presses,include triangle rod,up-connected triangle toggle rod and down-connected triangle toggle rod,builds the kinematics models and kinetics models respectively.Then the models try to achieve minimum their max slide velocity in their 5mm slide block nominal pressure stroke respectively with 130mm slide stroke as constraints,and get their structure size through the optimization design of computer.And then the paper builds up their 3D models,analyzes and compares their different parameters include the slide velocity,slide acceleration,crank torque,range of horizontal resultant force and vertical resultant force.The analysis results show that the triangle rod toggle mechanical presses have a more satisfactory performance during these three types.
