Abstract:The state-of-art GIS platforms and application development is firstly analyzed in this paper and the necessity of developing independent copyright large-scale GIS platforms to support China's national spatial infrastructures is confirmed. Secondly the general aims and technological aims are put forward. Then the system structures and characteristics of large-scale distributed GIS are discussed in detail from the hierarchies of general framework, spatial database management system, spatial application service platforms and visual GIS tools and application interfaces.

Abstract:It is inevitable for a provincial fundamental geo-information database to design and develop its management system, and to realize the integrity management of huge quantity and many types of spatial data. From system framework, main function, spatial database structure, mass data organization, and spatial index etc., the demonstration management system of 1∶10 000 fundamental geo-information database in Zhejiang Province is introduced. The experimental data of spatial indexes conduce to better access performance of mass data. The expected system aim has been achieved.

Abstract:With economic development and social progress, geographic information science is playing a more and more important role in tourism development. Many spatial analysis methods have been used in planning and design of scenic development programs. In this paper, the application of geographic information systems is illustratedfrom three perspectives. DEM model, Voronoi diagram and Space syntax are used to help achieve suitable land use, rational scenic spots layout, and traffic systems, with which tourist split-flow may be attainable. This study enriches tourism planning methods, which may make tourism planning more scientific and operable.

Abstract:In this paper, a professional mining GIS software called Geological and Surveying Spatial Management Information System (GSSMIS) was designed and implemented. Due to restriction of mine design and computerization level, geostatistics and 3D block model were not fully applied in metal mining. The geologists interpreted drill holes and delimit mineral boundaries on the 2D plane and section. Unlike other 3D mining software, a 2D & 3D integration technological architecture for unstratified mineral deposit was proposed considering the conventional exploration and exploitation approaches. The whole system contains 3 modules: geological and surveying database module, 21) MGIS module and 3D modeling and visualization module. Database module input, manage, store and extract all kinds of geological and surveying data. 2D MGIS module provide lots of toolbox for plotting all sorts of engineering maps and processing advance analysis such as geostatistical and uncertain analysis, reserve computation and mining economic estimation. GSSMIS has a typical COM GIS configuration with 5 different developing levels. The 5 level structure has advantage of less coding, easier maintenance and management, good ability of extension and secondary development, adding or subtracting the modules according to user's need. Also, 5 important system characters were introduced in the article, which were: 1) 2D auto-mapping; 2) interactive interpretation of geological boundaries; 3) mutual modifications of plane and section; 4) 3D solid modeling; 5) section profile cutting. Finally, the article presented the implement of GSSMIS in Laixin Iron, Shandong Province. The system changed traditional handcraft mapping mode thoroughly, relieved the heavy burden of engineers and promoted the process of computerization and informatization in China.

Abstract:This paper presents a mining GIS/CAD system for metal mining, called Resource GIS (RGIS). Unlike other international mine design and planning software packages with functions of geostatistical analyzing, mine design and schedule under 3D operation environment, RGIS integrates GIS and CAD features onto an uniform operating system, provides 21) and 31) integration operation environment and helps engineers to fulfill their ordinary work efficiently. The paper mainly concerns the system design and system implementation of RGIS. Firstly, the paper introduces a five-level COM framework with less coding, easier maintenance and management, powerful capability of extension and secondary development. Secondly, the paper introduces system implementation on seven special modules, which are database management module, basic GIS/CAD module, section map module, planar map module, drill histogram module, mine design module and 3D modeling and visualization module. Finally, the paper presents an application of RGIS system in Laixin Iron Group, Shandong Province, P. R. China. With intelligent functions of updating latest data dynamically on the planar map, section and 3D geological models, the system changes traditional mining work mode thoroughly, relieves the heavy burden of engineers, overcomes the deficiencies of current mining GIS/CAD software packages, and has gained good effects in some metal mine.

Abstract:Because different city has different functional localization,the area between city and countryside has formed characteristic land utilization structure.Taking the Harbin city as an example,this paper analyzed the formation mechanism and the existence problems of the land utilization structure,then it selected Minzhu Town of Daowai Borough in Harbin as a representative area for studying.The paper took the present data of Minzhu Town as the basis,used the SPSS and LINGO software to optimize the land use structure of the special area.It also analyzed the optimization result,finally gave the related countermeasure and the suggestion.

Abstract:For sustainable development of mining industry and mining areas and using Spatial Information Technologies (SIT), the SIT-based supporting system for sustainable development is discussed from regional and industrial aspects. The applications of SIT to four key fields, including safe production and disaster prevention and mitigation, environmental protection and ecological treatment, optimal and intensive use of mineral resources, and Spatial Decision-making Support System (SDSS) for mining areas and mining industrial cities, are analyzed in detail with respect to their current situation and key techniques. Some key issues that should be researched in a near future are pinpointed, and they are integration of multi-sources and heterogeneous information, spatial data mining, spatio-temporal simulation of disaster and environmental processes, quantitative inversion of ecological and environmental parameters and the establishment of SDSS.

Abstract:On the basis of going deep into analyzing the mine surveying information, four essential elements making up the mine laneway are put forward. Then the object-oriented mine laneway model is represented by C++ and the contained topologic relations are analyzed. The successes of developing the mine surveying information management sub-system shows that it is reasonable and practical to the data model and data structure designed by the authors.

Abstract:There were separation to each other between reserve report data and seam floor contour line as well as reserve calculation drawing,relying on manual calculation and data filling problems existing in coal reserve management information system.Base on detail analysis on the reserve management code of production mine,the paper provided design plan of coal reserve management information system base on GIS.The paper discussed key problems of diagram operation platform,reserve calculation and date generalized management.The practice application of system in Shendong Branch of Shenhua Group showed that system could meet daily reserve calculation,mapping,report preparation and other requirements in mine and could improve work efficiency of reserve departments in mine.

Abstract:The limitations of present coal mine management & information system, and analysis of advantages and disadvantages of the GIS lead to development of a new system. The proposed system integrates structuralized triangulated irregular network (TIN) and GIS as well as a network model. Through establishing topologic structure relative to point, line and area, we have set up an algorithm that allows to dynamically modify a coal mine TIN which involves reverse faults, The related software on unified systems of TIN and GIS has been developed using Visual C++ language in Windows environment.
