Therapeutic effect and decompression way of distinct offending vessel in hemifacial spasm microvascular decompression

Abstract:objective To study the therapeutic effect and decompression way of distinct offending vessel in hemifacial spasm microvascular decompression operation. Methods 272 patients with hemifacial spasm were operated in our department, different ways based on offending vessel were adopted,and observed the therapeutic effect. Results The cure rate of typical anterior inferior cerebellar artery compression ( n = 141) is 98.58% , the cure rate of arteria vertebralis and anterior inferior cerebellar artery compression ( n = 82) is 92. 86% , the cure rate of offset blood vessel compression(n =28) is 92. 86% , and the cure rate of blood vessel compression which lies in intermedial of Ⅶ and Ⅷ cranial nerve(n=21) is 90.48% ,total cure rate is 96. 32% ,this surpasses reports of documents. Conclusion Different decompression way of distinct offending vessel in hemifacial spasm microvascular decompression operation can raise cure rate significantly.
