Abstract:Recently, it has been shown that the unimodular Fourier multipliers e(it vertical bar Delta vertical bar alpha/2) are bounded on all modulation spaces. In this paper, using the almost orthogonality of projections and some techniques on oscillating integrals, we obtain asymptotic estimates for the unimodular Fourier multipliers e(it vertical bar Delta vertical bar alpha/2) on the modulation spaces. As applications, we give the grow-up rates of the solutions for the Cauchy problems for the free Schrodinger equation, the wave equation and the Airy equation with the initial data in a modulation space. We also obtain a quantitative form about the solution to the Cauchy problem of the nonlinear dispersive equations.

Abstract:Strichartz estimates are a manifestation of a dispersion phenomenon, exhibited by certain partial differential equations, which is detected by suitable Lebesgue space norms. In most cases the evolution propagator $U(t)$ is a one parameter group of unitary operators. Motivated by the importance of decay estimates in group representation theory and ergodic theory, Strichartz-type estimates seem worth investigating when $U(t)$ is replaced by a unitary representation of a non-compact Lie group, the group element playing the role of time. Since the Schrödinger group is a subgroup of the metaplectc group, the case of the metaplectic or oscillatory representation is of special interest in this connection. We prove uniform weak-type sharp estimates for matrix coefficients and Strichartz estimates for that representation. The crucial point is the choice of function spaces able to detect such a dispersive effect, which in general will depend on the given group action. The relevant function spaces here turn out to be the so-called modulation spaces from Time-frequency Analysis in Euclidean space, and Lebesgue spaces with respect to Haar measure on the metaplectic group. The proofs make use in an essential way of the covariance of the Wigner distribution with respect to the metaplectic representation.

Abstract:It is known that the unimodular Fourier multipliers e(it vertical bar Delta vertical bar alpha/2), alpha > 0 are bounded on all modulation spaces M-p,q(s) for 1 <= p,q <= infinity. We extend such boundedness to the case of all 0 < p,q <= infinity and obtain its asymptotic estimate as t goes to infinity. As applications, we give the grow-up rate of the solution for the Cauchy problems for the free Schrodinger equation with the initial data in a modulation space, as well as some mixed norm estimates. We also study the M-p1,q(s) -> M-p2,q(s) boundedness for the operator e(it vertical bar Delta vertical bar alpha/2), for the case 0 < alpha <= 2 and alpha not equal 1. Finally, we investigate the boundedness of the operator e(it vertical bar Delta vertical bar alpha/2) for alpha > 0 and obtain the local well-posedness for the Cauchy problem of some nonlinear partial differential equations with fundamental semigroup e(it vertical bar Delta vertical bar alpha/2).

Abstract:In this paper we derive time-decay and Strichartz estimates for the generalized Benjamin-Bona-Mahony equation on the framework of modulation spaces $M^s_{p,q}.$ We use this results to analyze the existence of local and global solutions of the corresponding Cauchy problem with rough data in modulation spaces. The results improve known results in Sobolev spaces in some sense.

Abstract:We show Strichartz estimates for quasi-periodic functions with decaying Fourier coefficients via $\ell^2$-decoupling. When we additionally average in time, further improvements can be obtained. Next, we apply multilinear refinements to show low regularity local well-posedness for nonlinear Schrödinger equations. For the cubic nonlinear Schrödinger equation the approach yields the sharp local well-posedness result.

Abstract:We prove the dispersive and Strichartz estimates for solutions to the wave equation with a class of many-electric potentials in spatial dimension three. To obtain the desired dispersive estimate, based on the spectral properties of the Schrödinger operator involved, we subsequently prove the dispersive estimate for the corresponding Schrödinger semigroup, obtain a Gaussian type upper bound, establish Bernstein type inequalities, and finally pass to the Müller-Seeger's subordination formula. The desired Strichartz estimates follow by the established dispersive estimate and the standard argument of Keel-Tao.

Abstract:In this paper, we establish an optimal dual version of trace estimate involving angular regularity. Based on this estimate, we get the generalized Morawetz estimates and weighted Strichartz estimates for the solutions to a large class of evolution equations, including the wave and Schrodinger equation. As applications, we prove the Strauss' conjecture with a kind of mild rough data for 2 <= n <= 4, and a result of global well-posedness with small data for some nonlinear Schrodinger equation with L-2-subcritical nonlinearity.

Abstract:We show trilinear Strichartz estimates in one and two dimensions on frequency-dependent time intervals. These improve on the corresponding linear estimates of periodic solutions to the Schrödinger equation. The proof combines decoupling iterations with bilinear short-time Strichartz estimates. Secondly, we use decoupling to show new linear Strichartz estimates on frequency dependent time intervals. We apply these in case of the Airy propagator to obtain the sharp Sobolev regularity for the existence of solutions to the modified Korteweg-de Vries equation.

Abstract:We prove that the fundamental semi-group $e^{it\left( {m^2 I + \left| \Delta \right|} \right)^{1/2} }$ (m ≠ 0) of the Klein-Gordon equation is bounded on the modulation space M p,q s (ℝ n ) for all 0 < p, q ⩽ ∞ and s ∈ ℝ. Similarly, we prove that the wave semi-group $e^{it\left| \Delta \right|^{1/2} }$ is bounded on the Hardy type modulation spaces µ p,q s (ℝ n ) for all 0 < p, q ⩽ ∞, and s ∈ ℝ. All the bounds have an asymptotic factor t n|1/p−1/2| as t goes to the infinity. These results extend some known results for the case of p ⩾ 1. Also, some applications for the Cauchy problems related to the semi-group $e^{it\left( {m^2 I + \left| \Delta \right|} \right)^{1/2} }$ are obtained. Finally we discuss the optimum of the factor t n|1/p−1/2| and raise some unsolved problems.

Abstract:We give a method to estimate non-integer power function | u | k u in modulation space which is an open question in the study of modulation space. As an application, we can study Cauchy problem for the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation with nonlinear term | u | k u in modulation space, where k is not an integer. Moreover, we also study the global solution with small initial value for the Klein-Gordon-Hartree equation. The results show some advantages of modulation space both in high and low regularity cases.

Abstract:In this paper we prove the orthonormal Strichartz estimates for the higher order and fractional Schrödinger, wave, Klein-Gordon and Dirac equations with potentials. As in the case of the Schrödinger operator, the proofs are based on the smooth perturbation theory by T. Kato. However, for the Klein-Gordon and Dirac equations, we also use a method of the microlocal analysis in order to prove the estimates for wider range of admissible pairs. As applications we prove the global existence of a solution to the higher order or fractional Hartree equation with potentials which describes the dynamics of infinitely many particles. We also give a local existence result for the semi-relativistic Hartree equation with electromagnetic potentials. As another application, the refined Strichartz estimates are proved for higher order and fractional Schrödinger, wave and Klein-Gordon equations.

Abstract:In this paper we continue the analysis of the dispersive properties of the 2D and 3D massless Dirac-Coulomb equations that has been started in <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1503.00945" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1503.00945">arXiv:1503.00945</a> and <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2101.07185" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2101.07185">arXiv:2101.07185</a>. We prove a priori estimates of the solution of the mentioned systems, in particular Strichartz estimates with an additional angular regularity, exploiting the tools developed in the previous works. As an application, we show local well-posedness results for a Dirac-Coulomb equation perturbed with Hartree-type nonlinearities.
