Abstract:We prove that the fundamental semi-group $e^{it\left( {m^2 I + \left| \Delta \right|} \right)^{1/2} }$ (m ≠ 0) of the Klein-Gordon equation is bounded on the modulation space M p,q s (ℝ n ) for all 0 < p, q ⩽ ∞ and s ∈ ℝ. Similarly, we prove that the wave semi-group $e^{it\left| \Delta \right|^{1/2} }$ is bounded on the Hardy type modulation spaces µ p,q s (ℝ n ) for all 0 < p, q ⩽ ∞, and s ∈ ℝ. All the bounds have an asymptotic factor t n|1/p−1/2| as t goes to the infinity. These results extend some known results for the case of p ⩾ 1. Also, some applications for the Cauchy problems related to the semi-group $e^{it\left( {m^2 I + \left| \Delta \right|} \right)^{1/2} }$ are obtained. Finally we discuss the optimum of the factor t n|1/p−1/2| and raise some unsolved problems.
Cauchy problem for NLKG in modulation spaces with noninteger powers

Abstract: In this paper, we consider the Cauchy problem for the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation whose nonlinearity is $|u|^{k}u$ in the modulation space, where $k$ is not an integer. Our method can be applied to other equations whose nonlinear parts have regularity estimates. We also study the global solution with small initial value for the Klein-Gordon-Hartree equation. By this we can show some advantages of modulation spaces both in high and low regularity cases.

Abstract:In this paper we study the Cauchy problem for the generalized Boussinesq equation with initial data in modulation spaces $M^{s}_{p^\prime ,q}(\mathbb {R}^n),$$n\ge 1.$ After a decomposition of the Boussinesq equation in a $2\times 2$-nonlinear system, we obtain the existence of global and local solutions in several classes of functions with values in $ M^s_{p,q}\times D^{-1}JM^s_{p,q}$-spaces for suitable p, q and s, including the special case $p=2,q=1$ and $s=0.$ Finally, we prove some results of scattering and asymptotic stability in the framework of modulation spaces.

Abstract:Consider a quasi-linear system of two Klein–Gordon equations with masses m1, m2. We prove that when m1≠2m2 and m2≠2m1, such a system has global solutions for small, smooth, compactly supported Cauchy data. This extends a result proved by Sunagawa (J. Differential Equations 192 (2) (2003) 308) in the semi-linear case. Moreover, we show that global existence holds true also when m1=2m2 and a convenient null condition is satisfied by the nonlinearities.
Modulation Instability and Rogue Waves for Two and Three Dimensional Nonlinear Klein-Gordon Equation.

Abstract:We perform the modulation instability analysis of the 2D and 3D nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation. The instability region depends on dispersion and wavenumbers of the plane wave. The N-breathers of the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation are constructed directly from its 2 N-solitons obtained in history. The regularity conditions of breathers are established. The dynamic behaviors of breathers of the 2D nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation are consistent with modulation instability analysis. Furthermore, by means of the bilinear method together with improved long-wave limit technique, we obtain general high order rogue waves of the 2D and 3D nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation. In particular, the first- and second-order rogue waves and lumps of the 2D nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation are investigated by using their explicit expressions. We find that their dynamic behaviors are similar to the nonlinear Schr & ouml;dinger equation. Finally, the first-order rational solutions are illustrated for the 3D nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation. It is demonstrated that the rogue waves of the 2D and 3D nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation always exist by choosing dispersion and wavenumber of plane waves.

Abstract:In this paper we prove a global existence result for nonlinear Klein–Gordon equations in infinite homogeneous waveguides, R×M, with smooth small data, where M=(M,g) is a Zoll manifold, or a compact revolution hypersurface. The method is based on normal forms, eigenfunction expansion and the special distribution of eigenvalues of the Laplace–Beltrami on such manifolds.

Abstract:The study of low regularity Cauchy data for nonlinear dispersive PDEs has successfully been achieved using modulation spaces $M^{p,q}$ in recent years. In this paper, we study the inhomogeneous nonlinear Schrödinger equation (INLS) $$iu_t + \Delta u\pm |x|^{-b}|u|^{\alpha}u=0,$$ where $\alpha, b>0,$ on whole space $\mathbb R^n$ in modulation spaces. In the subcritical regime $(0<\alpha< \frac{4-2b}{n}),$ we establish local well-posedness in $L^{2}+M^{\alpha+2,\frac{\alpha+2}{\alpha+1}}( \supset L^2 + H^s \ \text{for} \ s>\frac{n\alpha}{2(\alpha+2)}).$ By adapting Bourgain's high-low decomposition method, we establish global well-posedness in $M^{p,\frac{p}{p-1}}$ with $2<p$ and $p$ sufficiently close to 2. This is the first global well-posedness result for INLS on modulation spaces, which contains certain Sobolev $H^s$ $(0<s<1)$ and $L^p_s-$Sobolev spaces.

Anal. 82 (1983), 347â€“375]. The Klein-Gordon-Maxwell system is a model describing solitary waves for the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation interacting with an electromagnetic field. By using variational methods and some analysis techniques, the existence of positive solution and multiple solutions can be obtained. Moreover, we study the properties of decay estimates and asymptotic behavior for the positive solution.

Abstract:In this paper we derive time-decay and Strichartz estimates for the generalized Benjamin-Bona-Mahony equation on the framework of modulation spaces $M^s_{p,q}.$ We use this results to analyze the existence of local and global solutions of the corresponding Cauchy problem with rough data in modulation spaces. The results improve known results in Sobolev spaces in some sense.

Abstract:We obtain local wellposedness for the Vlasov‐Riesz‐Fokker‐Planck system in Modulation space, as well as a regularity‐enhancing property of the system. We provide an estimate of the nonlinear term in Modulation space with higher regularity. The proof primarily relies on exploiting the properties of operators in Modulation space, while also drawing upon a proof analogous to that of the Bernstein multiplier theorem.

Almost Global Solutions of 1D Nonlinear Klein-Gordon Equations with Small Weakly Decaying Initial Data

Abstract:It has been known that if the initial data decay sufficiently fast at space infinity, then 1D Klein-Gordon equations with quadratic nonlinearity admit classical solutions up to time e^C/ϵ^2 while e^C/ϵ^2 is also the upper bound of the lifespan, where C>0 is some suitable constant and ϵ>0 is the size of the initial data. In this paper, we will focus on the 1D nonlinear Klein-Gordon equations with weakly decaying initial data. It is shown that if the H^s-Sobolev norm with (1+|x|)^1/2+ weight of the initial data is small, then the almost global solutions exist; if the initial H^s-Sobolev norm with (1+|x|)^1/2 weight is small, then for any M>0, the solutions exist on [0,ϵ^-M]. Our proof is based on the dispersive estimate with a suitable Z-norm and a delicate analysis on the phase function.

Abstract:We study the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation on a product space $M=\R\times X$ with metric $\tilde{g}=dt^2-g$ where $g$ is the scattering metic on $X$. We establish the global-in-time Strichartz estimate for Klein-Gordon equation without loss of derivative by using the microlocalized spectral measure of Laplacian on scattering manifold showed in \cite{HZ} and a Littlewood-Paley squarefunction estimate proved in \cite{Zhang}. We prove the global existence and scattering for a family of nonlinear Klein-Gordon equations for small initial data with minimum regularity on this setting.

Abstract:We consider the Klein--Gordon equation associated with the Laplace--Beltrami operator $\Delta$ on real hyperbolic spaces of dimension $n\!\ge\!2$; as $\Delta$ has a spectral gap, the wave equation is a particular case of our study. After a careful kernel analysis, we obtain dispersive and Strichartz estimates for a large family of admissible couples. As an application, we prove global well--posedness results for the corresponding semilinear equation with low regularity data.

Abstract:We give a method to estimate non-integer power function | u | k u in modulation space which is an open question in the study of modulation space. As an application, we can study Cauchy problem for the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation with nonlinear term | u | k u in modulation space, where k is not an integer. Moreover, we also study the global solution with small initial value for the Klein-Gordon-Hartree equation. The results show some advantages of modulation space both in high and low regularity cases.
