Abstract:Nanoplastics (NPs) pollution has become an emerging threat to the aquatic environment and its organisms. The removal of NPs from contaminated water is a global challenge. In this study, an efficient and reusable composite was prepared from cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) modified magnetic biochar. The performances of CTAB modified magnetic biochar (CMB) to remove polystyrene (PS) and carboxylate-modified polystyrene (CPS) nanoparticles from water were systematically evaluated. The results showed that the PS and CPS removal performance of magnetic biochar was improved by CTAB modification. These increases were assigned to the increase in the surface hydrophobicity of CMB. Due to the strong electrostatic repulsion between the nanoparticles, PS and CPS maintained high stability in alkaline conditions, resulting in a significant decrease in removal efficiency. The removal efficiency was decreased to 67.4% for PS and to 40.7% for CPS at pH 11. The inhibition effects of NaCl on the PS and CPS removal efficiencies were decreased gradually with the increase of NaCl concentration. Among the anions studied, H2PO4- had the biggest impact on the removal performance of CMB. Besides, CMB could be used to remove PS and CPS in real surface water, and the removal efficiencies of PS and CPS were 95.3% and 97.8%, respectively. Particularly, the removal efficiencies of PS and CPS were 90.2% for PS and 94.8% for CPS when CMB was recycled five times. According to the characterization results of XRD, TGA, SEM, FTIR and XPS, PS and CPS nanoparticles were removed by CMB from water mainly through aggregation instead of adsorption. The efficient removal of PS and CPS by CMB via aggregation process offers new insight into the removal of NPs from aquatic environment.

Abstract:Bisphenol A (BPA) is a representative endocrine-disrupting chemical widely utilized in the plastic industry, and its leakage into the environment poses various health risks. There is an urgent need for effective removal technologies, and magnetic adsorption shows promise due to its high efficiency and ease of recovering adsorbents. This review provides a comprehensive and critical summary of recent advances in magnetic adsorbents for the removal of BPA. It covers intrinsic magnetic materials and composite magnetic adsorbents which include magnetic organic adsorbents (covalent organic frameworks, β-cyclodextrin-based adsorbents, and molecularly imprinted polymers), magnetic carbonaceous adsorbents (graphene, activated carbon, biochar, and carbon nanotubes), magnetic inorganic adsorbents and magnetic metal-organic frameworks. After comparing and discussing the different magnetic adsorbents, the adsorption mechanisms are summarized, and the advantages and disadvantages are compared and discussed. Strategies for designing magnetic matrices with appropriate morphology and adsorption materials with optimal porous structures are proposed. The challenges associated with maintaining adsorption performance while integrating a magnetic matrix are also discussed. The research direction for future work is also prospected. This review aims to guide the development of magnetic adsorbents for the removal of BPA and other emerging pollutants.

Abstract:The unintended leakage of endocrine-disrupting bisphenol A (BPA) from different industries into the aquatic environment has posed a severe threat to aquatic lives and human health. Herein, we explored a hydrothermal method to synthesize superparamagnetic beta-cyclodextrin-cobalt ferrite (beta-CD-CoFe2O4) catalyst for the selective capturing and efficient degradation of BPA through heterogeneous activation of peroxymonosulfate (PMS). The as-prepared catalysts were systematically characterized through multi-techniques to explore the relationship between their catalytic performance and material properties. Results showed that, in beta-CD-CoFe2O4/PMS system, the degradation rate of BPA reached 99.23% in 60 min with a rate constant of 0.0708 min(-1), approximately 16.09 times than CoFe2O4/PMS system (0.0044 min(-1)). Specifically, the large surface area and availability of more reactive sites of beta-CD-CoFe2O4 boosted the activation process of PMS compared to pristine CoFe2O4, thus enhancing the degradation of BPA. Meanwhile, the effect of different operational parameters and co-existing anions on BPA degradation were also investigated. The generation of free radicals (SO4 center dot-, center dot OH, O-2(center dot-), and 1(O)(2))in the beta-CD-CoFe2O4/PMS system liable for reducing BPA was corroborated through electron paramagnetic resonance analysis and quenching experiments. The possible degradation pathways of BPA were proposed based on the identification of reaction intermediates formed during the mineralization process. In brief, the findings of this study suggested that beta-CD-CoFe2O4 is an efficient and environmentally friendly catalyst that facilitated the degradation of BPA through PMS activation. Moreover, the excellent magnetic separation, stability, and reusability of the beta-CD-CoFe2O4 catalyst make them promising candidates for their water purification applications.

Abstract:As a typical representative of endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs), bisphenol A (BPA) is a common persistent organic pollutant in the environment that can induce various diseases even at low concentrations. Herein, the magnetic Fe3O4-Au@Ag@(Au@Ag) nanocomposites (CSSN NCs) have been prepared by self-assembly method and applied for ultra-sensitive surface-enhanced resonance Raman scattering (SERRS) detection of BPA. A simple and rapid coupling reaction of Pauly’s reagents and BPA not only solved the problem of poor affinity between BPA and noble metals, but also provided the SERRS activity of BPA azo products. The distribution of hot spots and the influence of incremental introduction of noble metals on the performance of SERRS were analyzed by a finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) algorithm. The abundance of hot spots generated by core–shell–satellite structure and outstanding SERRS performance of Au@Ag nanocrystals were responsible for excellent SERRS sensitivity of CSSN NCs in the results. The limit of detection (LOD) of CSSN NCs for BPA azo products was as low as 10−10 M. In addition, the saturation magnetization (Ms) value of CSSN NCs was 53.6 emu·g−1, which could be rapidly enriched and collected under the condition of external magnetic field. These magnetic core–shell–satellite NCs provide inspiration idea for the tailored design of ultra-sensitive SERRS substrates, and thus exhibit limitless application prospects in terms of pollutant detection, environmental monitoring, and food safety.

Abstract:In order to solve the problem of removing endocrine disruptors in water environment, Bi 2 WO 6 @MXenes-NS（BM-NS） composite catalyst was synthesized by hydrothermal method, and bisphenol A（BPA） was degraded by activation of permonosulfate（PMS）. The morphology and crystal structure of the catalyst were characterized by SEM, TEM and XRD. The effects of different catalyst systems, PMS concentrations, solution pH and coexisting ions on the degradation of BPA were investigated. The results showed that when the concentration of MXenes-NS was 0.5%, the concentration of catalyst was 1 g/L, the concentration of PMS was 0.3 g/L, and the solution pH was 3.03, BM-NS/PMS system had a strong BPA degradation performance, and the removal rate reached 85.3% within 120 min. In addition, the effects of inorganic anions on BPA removal were in a sequence as follows: Cl - ＜H 2 PO - 4 ＜SO 2- 4 ＜HCO - 3 ≈NO - 3 . The removal rate of BPA remained 70.1% after 4 cycles. The results of the radical quenching experiment showed that SO - 4 · was the main active radical. Combined with LC-MS, the possible degradation pathway of BPA was proposed. The above experimental results indicated that the prepared BM-NS catalyst had a good application prospect in activating PMS to degrade BPA.

Abstract:Na-Montmorillonite (Na-MMT) was modified by cetyltrimethylammonium bromide first, then polyethersulfone (PES)-MMT hybrid beads were prepared using a liquid-liquid phase separation technique for the removal of bisphenol (BPA). The interlayer spacing of the MMT increased after the modification. Adsorption data showed that the modified MMT had excellent adsorption ability to BPA due to the hydrophobic interaction and large porosity. An adsorption dynamics model for the beads was constructed using concentration decrease data. Also, the experimental data of BPA adsorption were adequately fitted with both Langmuir and Freundlich equations. These results indicated that the PES-MMT hybrid particles have the potential to be used in the environmental application.

Abstract:Novel pectin/poly(m-phenylenediamine) (P/PmPDA) microspheres with different content of PmPDA were prepared by assembling PmPDA on the surface of pectin microsphere. The successful preparation was confirmed by the results of Fourier Transform Infrared spectra (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and elemental analysis. Compared with pectin microsphere, the Pb2+ adsorption performance of P/PmPDA microspheres was significantly improved. The results of batch adsorption experiments were in good agreement with the Langmuir isotherm model for Pb2+ adsorption, indicating the adsorption was monolayer. The maximum adsorption capacity of Pb2+ was found to be 390.9 mg/g. The kinetic adsorption process was well described by the pseudo-second-order model and chemical adsorption dominated the adsorption process. The potential mechanisms of Pb2+ adsorption were speculated as ion exchange and chelation, which were supported by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The P/PmPDA microspheres showed good recyclability after five adsorption/desorption cycles. All these results indicated the potential of P/PmPDA microspheres for removing Pb2+.

Magnetic conjugated microporous polymer for rapid extraction and sensitive analysis of environmental endocrine disruptors in environmental waters and dairy products

Abstract:Background: Environmental endocrine disruptors (EEDs) are a class of new pollutants that are diffusely used in the medical industry and animal husbandry. In view of toxicity concerns, elevated levels of EEDs in the environment and food, which cause potential harm to human beings and ecosystems, must be monitored. Determination of EEDs contaminants to ensure environment and food safety has became a major concern worldwide, it is also a challenging task because of their trace level and probable matrices interference. Thus, developing rapid adsorption and efficient analysis methods for EEDs is apparently necessary. Results: A magnetic conjugated micro-porous polymer (Fe3O4@TbDt) was designed and synthesized, which was endowed with large specific surface area, rich functional groups and magnetic responsiveness. The material showed high extraction efficiency for EEDs via magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE). The quantum chemistry calculations showed the adsorption mechanism of Fe3O4@TbDt on EEDs mainly included electrostatic interactions, van der waals forces (N-H … π interaction, C-H … π interaction), and multiple hydrogen bonds. Finally, a trace analysis method for nine EEDs was established combined with HPLC-MS/MS under optimized MSPE conditions. The method showed a good linearity (R2 ≥ 0.996), low limits of detection (0.25-5.1 ng L-1), high precision (RSD of 1.1-8.2 %, n = 6). The applicability of this method was investigated by analyzing four water samples and two dairy products, and satisfactory recovery rates (82.1-100.7 %) were obtained. The proposed method showed the potential for the analysis of EEDs residues in food and environmental samples. Significance: The developed MSPE method based on conjugated micro-porous polymers (CMPs) is simple, green, and efficient compared to existing techniques. The application of CMPs provides a new idea for preparing versatile sample pre-treatment materials. What's more, this work has certain reference value for addressing of EEDs residues in the environment and food.
Application of micro-nanostructured magnetite in separating tetrabromobisphenol A and hexabromocyclododecane from environmental water by magnetic solid phase extraction

Abstract:Two typical brominated flame retardants (BFRs), namely, tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA) and hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD), were persistent organic pollutants widely detected in various environmental media. This study aimed to successfully synthesize micro-nano-structured magnetite particles (MNMPs) with surface modification by citric acid molecules. The synthesized composites served as an adsorbent for extracting TBBPA and HBCD from environmental water samples followed by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry analysis. The obtained MNMPs were characterized in terms of crystal structure, morphology, size distribution, hydrophobic and hydrophilic performance and magnetism. The results indicated that the MNMPs exhibited high surface area, good dispersibility, and strong magnetic responsiveness for separation. The parameters affecting the extraction efficiency were optimized, including sample pH, amount of sorbents, extraction time and desorption conditions. Under the optimum conditions, the recovery was 83.5 and 107.1%, limit of detection was 0.13 and 0.35μg/mL ( S/N = 3), and limit of quantification was 0.37 and 0.59 μg/mL ( S/N = 10) for TBBPA and HBCD respectively. The relative standard deviations obtained using the proposed method were less than 8.7%, indicating that the MNMP magnetic solid-phase extraction method had advantages of simplicity, good sensitivity and high efficiency for the extraction of the two BFRs from environmental water.

Abstract:In this work, electro-enhanced solid-phase microextraction (EE-SPME) and covalent organic framework (COF) were adopted to improve the extraction efficiency. A conductive COF synthesized of 2,6-diaminoanthraquinone (DQ) and 1,3,5-triformylphloroglucinol (TP) was in situ bonded to the stainless steel wire via facile solution-phase approach and used as the EE-SPME fiber coating to preconcentrate a typical endocrine disruptor bisphenol A (BPA). Compared with conventional SPME, the DQTP bonded fiber coupled with EE-SPME device exhibited higher extraction efficiency and achieved extraction equilibrium within 10 min. The proposed approach based on EE-SPME and gas chromatography coupled with flame ionization detector gave a linear range of 0.05‒10 μg mL-1 and detection limit of 3 μg L-1 (S/N = 3) with good precision (<6.7%) and reproducibility (<7.1%) spiked with 0.1, 0.5, 1.0 μg mL-1 BPA. Quantitative determination of BPA in extracts of food packagings (mineral water bottles, milk boxes and milk tea cups) was achieved with recoveries from 88.6‒118.0%.

Abstract:A magnetic molecularly imprinted material (MMIPs),behaving characteristic adsorptivity to bisphenol A (BPA)was prepared by polymerization in emulsion with BPA as template molecule,mathacrylic acid as functional monomer,N,N′-methylenebis-acrylamide as cross-linking agent and magnetic microspheres of Fe3 O4 , prepared by precipitation and modified by silylating agent on the surface,were used as carrier.The MMIPs behaved with strong magnetism and high adsorptivity to BPA.It has been used conveniently for enrichment and separation of BPA from water under condition of applied magnetic field;and when the mass concentration of BPA in the water was 60 mg · L-1 ,saturated adsorptive capacity of 22.06 mg · g-1 of MMIPs was obtained,and adsorptive equilibrium was attained after 60 min.

Abstract:The use of plastic bags in the long-term contact with food may cause certain harm to human health due to the production process of plastic bags and the use of plasticizers such as BPA. Therefore, the analysis and research methods of BPA and other harmful substances are receiving extensive attention. Molecularly imprinted polymers have attracted much attention for their high selectivity, while magnetic metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have been widely used for their excellent adsorption potential. However, the current methods of synthesizing these polymers typically require many steps and are time-consuming. Additionally, these methods involve the use of large amounts of solvents, which are not environmentally friendly and sustainable. This study proposed an easy, convenient, quick, and green method for synthesizing magnetic copper MOF molecularly imprinted polymers (MCMMIPs) using a one-pot technique to overcome these challenges. The resulting MCMMIPs exhibited excellent magnetic separation ability (20 emu/g), a large specific surface area (289.4 m 2 /g), and a well-defined imprinted cavity. MCMMIPs have been successfully applied to the extraction of BPA in plastic bags with a detection limit of 1.01 μg/kg and recoveries ranging from 72.1% to 102.85%. More importantly, the detection method proposed based on the material has been successfully applied to the detection of BPA in plastic bags, with a good detection effect.

Abstract:Hydrophilic carbon-functionalized magnetic microspheres coated with chitosan (Fe(3)O(4)@C@CHI) were synthesized for the first time. The hydrophilic carbonaceous layer on the Fe(3)O(4) microspheres was formed by the hydrothermal reaction of Fe(3)O(4) microspheres and glucose, and then chitosan was coated on surface of the carbon-functionalized microspheres by an easy zero-length reaction with 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide (EDC) and N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) as cross-linkers. The Fe(3)O(4)@C@CHI microspheres were spherical core-shell structure with uniform size at about 400 nm. The microspheres had a high saturation magnetization of 60.22 emu g(-1), which was sufficient for magnetic separation. The Fe(3)O(4)@C@CHI microspheres presented good hydrophilic property due to the abundant carboxyl and hydroxyl groups on the carbonaceous layer of the microspheres. The successful modification of chitosan on the surface of carbon-functionalized magnetic microspheres was validated by the adsorption of Eriochrome Black T (EBT). The prepared microspheres were applied as magnetic solid-phase extraction materials for extraction of bisphenol A (BPA) in aqueous samples. The extraction recoveries of spiked samples were in the range of 99.4-102.6% with low relative standard deviations of 2.8-3.9%. The results demonstrated that the novel Fe(3)O(4)@C@CHI microspheres were good candidate as magnetic SPE materials for extraction of analytes from aqueous samples.

Abstract:A novel amphiphilic star-shaped inorganic-organic hybrid copolymer polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane-poly(ɛ-caprolactone)-β-cyclodextrin (POSS-PCL-β-CD) was synthesized by ring-opening polymerization (ROP) and click chemistry. The amphiphilic copolymer can self-assemble into hybrid micelles with hydrophobic POSS-PCL chain encapsulating Fe3O4 nanoparticles as the core and β-CD as the shell after mixing with Fe3O4 nanoparticles in solvent and dialysis against water. The chemical structure of POSS-PCL-β-CD was characterized by (1)H NMR and the morphology of the magnetic hybrid micelles was characterized by TEM and DLS. Due to the host-guest interaction of β-CD with bisphenol A (BPA), POSS-PCL-β-CD/Fe3O4 hybrid micelles present good adsorption capacity in removal of BPA from aqueous solution. Magnetic measurement reveals that POSS-PCL-β-CD/Fe3O4 hybrid micelles still exhibit magnetism for separation by an external magnetic field, indicating that these magnetic hybrid micelles may have potential application in the field of environmental protection.

Abstract:2,2-Bis (4-hydroxyphenyl) propane (bisphenol A) is a precursor in many industrial and manufactural resins, plastics, and polycarbonate, as well as an endocrine disruptor in humans and animals. Therefore, the real-time sensing and in-situ removal of BPA are in strong demand. This study evaluated a method for the electrochemical detection of BPA using a carbon felt electrode. BPA was detected by cyclic voltammetry. During detection, the BPA was electropolymerized to a non-conductive lump and layer on the electrode surface. Simultaneously, the capacitance and electrochemical properties of the carbon felt decreased. The peak current and BPA concentration showed a linear correlation; the estimated detection limit was 4.78 × 10−7 M. The BPA-electropolymerized carbon felt could be regenerated successfully by ultrasonication. The detection and quantification of BPA in real water samples showed satisfactory recoveries of 98.4–101.0%. The carbon felt-based electrochemical analysis exhibited high sensitivity and reusability, making it applicable to the in-situ and on-site detection and removal of endocrine disruptors, such as BPA.

The Selective Removal of Bisphenol A Using a Magnetic Adsorbent Fused with Bisphenol A-Binding Peptides

Abstract:The potential of bisphenol A (BPA)-binding peptides fused to magnetic beads is demonstrated as novel adsorbents that are reusable and highly selective for BPA removal from aqueous environments, in which various interfering substances coexist. Magnetic beads harboring peptides (peptide beads) showed a higher BPA removal capacity (8.6 mg/g) than that of bare beads without peptides (2.0 mg/g). The BPA adsorption capacity of peptide beads increased with the number of peptides fused onto the beads, where monomeric, dimeric, or trimeric repeats of a BPA-binding peptide were fused to magnetic beads. The BPA-adsorbing beads were regenerated using a methanol–acetic acid mixture, and after six regeneration cycles, the adsorption capacity remained above 87% of its initial capacity. The selective removal of BPA was confirmed in the presence of BPA analogs with high structural similarity (bisphenol F and bisphenol S) or in synthetic wastewater. The present work is a pioneering study that investigates the selective affinity of peptides to remove specific organics with high selectivity from complex environmental matrices.

Abstract:A magnetic metal−organic frameworks adsorbent (Fe3O4@MIL-53(Al)) was prepared by a typical solvothermal method for the removal of bisphenol A (BPA), tetracycline (TC), congo red (CR), and methylene blue (MB). The prepared Fe3O4@MIL-53(Al) composite adsorbent was well characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR). The influence of adsorbent quantity, adsorption time, pH and ionic strength on the adsorption of the mentioned pollutants were also studied by a UV/Vis spectrophotometer. The adsorption capacities were found to be 160.9 mg/g for BPA, 47.8 mg/g for TC, 234.4 mg/g for CR, 70.8 mg/g for MB, respectively, which is superior to the other reported adsorbents. The adsorption of BPA, TC, and CR were well-fitted by the Langmuir adsorption isotherm model, while MB followed the Freundlich model, while the adsorption kinetics data of all pollutants followed the pseudo-second-order kinetic models. The thermodynamic values, including the enthalpy change (ΔH°), the Gibbs free energy change (ΔG°), and entropy change (ΔS°), showed that the adsorption processes were spontaneous and exothermic entropy-reduction process for BPA, but spontaneous and endothermic entropy-increasing processes for the others. The Fe3O4@MIL-53(Al) was also found to be easily separated after external magnetic field, can be a potential candidate for future water treatment.

Abstract:Porous polymers are very suitable materials for the adsorption of organic pollutants due to their abundant pores and organic frameworks in aqueous solution. However, their recovery from treated pollutant is difficult, and thus, their application is limited. A facile strategy to synthesize reusable magnetic porous microspheres (MPMS) of Fe 3 O 4 /poly(methylmethacrylate (MMA)- co -divinylbenzene (DVB)) is described in this paper. The magnetic microspheres were synthesized by suspension copolymerization. MMA was used as a monomer, DVB was used as a crosslinker, and the magnetic fluid was added to the organic phase. The morphology of MPMS was observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and other properties were tested by superconducting quantum interference device, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), and nitrogen sorption-desorption techniques. The synthesized MPMS possessed a high specific surface area using toluene as a porogen. It was further found that the ratio of DVB to MMA, the ratio of porogen to monomer, and the type of porogen all affected the specific surface area and the morphology of the microspheres. Furthermore, the microspheres were applied to remove Rhodamine B from its aqueous solution. The results showed that the microspheres possessed good adsorption capacity for Rhodamine B. This result was due to the porous structure, polar groups, and superparamagnetic characteristic of the synthesized microspheres.
Magnetic Solid Phase Extraction of Brominated Flame Retardants and Pentachlorophenol from Environmental Waters with Carbon Doped Fe3o4 Nanoparticles

Abstract:Carbon doped Fe3O4 nanoparticles (Fe3O4/C) prepared by a facile hydrothermal reaction of glucose with iron resource have been applied as magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) sorbent, for the first time, to extract trace brominated flame retardants (BFRs) and pentachlorophenol (PCP) from environmental waters. Various MSPE parameters were optimized including amount of Fe3O4/C nanoparticles, pH of sample solution, enrichment factor of analytes and reusability of Fe3O4/C sorbent. The reliability of the MSPE method was evaluated by the recoveries of BFRs and PCP in spiked water samples. Good recoveries (80.0-110.0%) were achieved with the relative standard deviations range from 0.3% to 6.8%. In this paper, the extraction characteristics of Fe3O4/C sorbent were further elucidated. It is found that the adsorption process of Fe3O4/C to analytes predominates the MSPE efficiency. There is hybrid hydrophobic interaction and hydrogen bonding or dipole-dipole attraction between Fe3O4/C and analytes. Notably, the chemical components of carbon layer on the surface of Fe3O4 nanoparticles were identified by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and thermogravimetry-mass spectrometry, and in consequence the covalent bonds between Fe3O4 and the coated carbon have been observed. In addition, the straight influence of synthesis condition of Fe3O4/C nanoparticles including glucose concentration and hydrothermal reaction time on extraction performance for BFRs and PCP has been investigated. It is confirmed that the existence of organic carbon containing functional groups over Fe3O4/C sorbent is responsible for the MSPE extraction. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Abstract:As a typical endocrine disrupter, bisphenol A (BPA) in the environment could damage the reproductive and endocrine system of humans and mammals. Hence, the precise removal of BPA from the environment becomes increasingly urgent. In this work, we employ Pickering emulsion polymerization to prepare the molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) microspheres containing specific binding sites for the precise recognition of BPA through the non-covalent molecular imprinting strategy. In the process of polymerization, TiO 2 nanoparticles are used as the sole emulsifier to build the Pickering oil/water emulsion system followed by the radical polymerization. The template molecules of BPA could be eluted from the polymer microspheres by continuous Soxhlet extraction. The obtained MIP microspheres were characterized with the help of optical microscope and field emission scanning electron microscope, respectively. The MIP microspheres present regularly spherical structures with a relative broad size distribution. The chemical structure and thermal stability of MIP and non-imprinted polymer (NIPs) microspheres also were investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and thermogravimetry, respectively. The formation of specific imprinted sites on the MIPs was validated through a batch of rebinding experiments, including the binding kinetics, binding isotherm and selective experiment. Moreover, the obtained MIP microspheres could be regenerated and recycled at least five cycles without significant loss of binding capacity. The MIP microspheres would have broad application prospects in the environmental and analytical field.
