Abstract:This work develops a high-gain converter by utilizing a voltage multiplier cell and a quadratic boost cell. By parallel charging and series discharging of capacitors with the load, the voltage multiplier cell increases the output voltage. With a single switch, the converter's complexity is diminished. Having fewer components, again of 50 is realized for an 80% duty ratio. In addition, voltage stress of the switch is reduced by fifty percent of output voltage. The present research examines the converter's operation in CCM and DCM. It also performs a steady-state analysis, from which voltage gain equations, design parameters, the impact of non-ideality, and power loss calculations are produced and examined. Using the Matlab Simulink environment, the converter is designed and simulated in both closed-loop and open-loop scenarios. Closed-loop analysis looks at how well the converter performs in response to changes in a range of operating parameters, including load variations, input voltage swings, and reference voltage variation. About 91.4% is the suggested converter's simulated efficiency. With a power rating of 100 W, the hardware prototype designed for 20 V/200 V is used to evaluate the converter. The converter's practical efficiency is determined to be 90.16%.
