Abstract:A thermal calculation system that was not limited by the fuel kinds, structure shape, flow pattern, and geometric parameters of boilers was developed using the physical model based on the process system stabilization simulation theory and the arithmetic of sequential modular approach, and the model input methods of the flue gas flow path established with the dynamic visibility of users and working fluids( vapor, water, air).

Abstract:The article gives mathematical model of heat-supply by applying graph theory & mathematical knowledge,and applies basic loop analytic method to solve the model.At the same time the procedure about hot-water network hydraulic regime calculation & corresponding regime pressure diagram demonstration is programmed with C++ Builder.It can serve the teaching as the aided teaching software and can offer some reference for the calculation and analyses of practical hot-water network hydraulic regime.

Abstract:There is no mature theory of thermal calculation for CFB boiler.A simplified model based on experience was introduced,which supplied the gap between theory and industrial operation with experience parameters.By dividing furnace into sections,the model solved the problem that ash concentration and heat transfer parts were not evenly distributed.It picked out heat transfer coefficient,ash concentration in smoke,fuel percentage and other parameters based on experience,summed up general formulas for heat balance in furnace section.The thermal calculation system,developed on the basis of this model,has no restrictions from furnace structure,the type of separator,fuel and volume.Furthermore,it can calculate limestone-desulfurization,reheater,heat transfer parts in furnace and external heat exchanger.The system has been put into industrial operation,and calculation error of main parameter is less than 3%.

Abstract:Heated calculation is the key work of boiler design but it is difficult to complete manually. Since 1970s, many kinds of boiler heated calculation software have been developed for particular uses. Concerning the diversity of boiler design, it is significant to develop universal and extendable software for heated calculation. This paper aims to make some contribution to this field. First, an abstract cognitive model of boiler is proposed, which cognizes boiler as a fluid transform network composed of generalized parts and generalized fluid nodes. Based on this, a robust and extendable object oriented software system model is built and described by UML. In its core object package for describing the fluid transform network, objects are defined at three levels, i.e. network's composing objects, network's basic topology objects, and network's redundant topology objects to construct the network dynamically and support the algorithm. Abstract:The issue of boiler scheme design from the methodological view was described and the boiler scheme design process was divided into four sub-activities,i.e., scheme construction,scheme analysis,scheme evaluation,and scheme adjustment. The object-oriented knowledge representation method was used to construct the design object model of boiler intelligent computer-aided design(CAD) system,composed of attribute space,relationship space,rule space,constraint space,case space,and method space,and the intelligent boiler CAD process was explained by means of this model.A general technical approach to the intelligent boiler CAD was proposed,intelligently constructing the scheme based on case knowledge,intelligently analyzing the scheme based on definite method knowledge,intelligently evaluating the scheme based on constraint knowledge,and intelligently adjusting the scheme based on rule knowledge.The main framework prototype of this intelligent boiler CAD system was developed and part of its function has been applied to engineering practices.It turned out that the above technologies and methods fit the practical requirement and can support the development of intelligent boiler CAD system effectively.

Abstract:Boiler product design usually needs reference to previous design cases. Considering this characteristic, the technology and methods for managing boiler design calculation cases were proposed. A case library of boiler design calculation was established by database technology to store and share various design calculation models and results in the boiler manufacturing enterprise, as well as the feedback information about boiler operating and monitoring. By adopting project and scheme as logical unit, the physical structure model and corresponding database design model of the case library were designed. The information management and synchronization between client and server was discussed. The method for retrieving similar reference cases based on nearest neighbor algorithm was studied. Research and application practices show that the proposed technology and methods are efficient for developing the case management system for boiler design calculation, and beneficial to accumulate product design knowledge in boiler manufacturing enterprises and improve the manufacturers' design level.

Abstract:Thermal performance calculation is the core task of designing power station boiler. By abstracting generalized components and generalized fluid nodes, and defining the process unit and process section at the logic level, the universal physical model of boiler was built in a particular form of flowsheet. Meanwhile, a sequential modular approach was proposed as the main algorithm for boiler thermal calculation based on process system steady-state simulation theory. Two key problems in the algorithm, i.e., module calculations and the logics of calling the modules calculations were explained. Finally, a practically developed system BESS, which has excellent flexibility and extensibility was presented. It turns out that the model and algorithm can be successfully employed in developing the general-purpose software for boiler thermal calculation.

Abstract:Boiler hydrodynamic calculation mainly adopts graphic method,which is quiet complicated and tedious for solving complex boiler systems and sometimes difficult to obtain accurate results. For making up the insufficiencies of graphic method,a general algorithm for boiler hydrodynamic calculation based on basic loop adjustment by flow regulation was presented. First,a directed graph calculation model composed of and sections was established,and the flow continuity equations of nodes and resistance balance equations of basic loops were provided based on the model. Second,the successive iteration method was used for solving the equations. Considering the influence of heat and gravity,the solving procedure was divided into two stages,i.e.,rough flow regulation and refined flow regulation. Different adjustment strategy was implemented in each stage to reduce the resistance closure of each basic loop gradually until the solution was convergent. The algorithm is independent with the flow topology structure and suitable for hydrodynamic calculations of various configuration boilers. Practical applications show that the proposed algorithm has excellent generality and is easy to be programmed; moreover,both the accuracy and the speed of calculation are greatly improved.

Abstract:Different types of circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boilers have been designed and put into industrial operation by different designers during their rapid development. In a design every designer has his own thermal calculation method. However, less information is available in published papers. A simple thermal calculation method for designing a CFB boiler was introduced based on most recent information worldwide, especially research and industrial experience achievements at Zhejiang University on the CFB boiler technologies in recent decade. Determination of the furnace size, heat balance and heat transfer in a furnace is reported. A CFB boiler with a high temperature cyclone is applied as an example and other types of CFB boiler could be designed with modifying the thermal calculation method.

Abstract:Studying the coal preparation equipments without considering the boiler and its auxiliary equipment cannot obtain the characteristics of the whole system completely and accurately.Thus, on the basis of research on the characteristics of the pulverizing system,boiler and the auxiliary e-quipments,the universal calculation software for pulverizing system was developed.Referring to the design model theory and method of process-formed mechanical part,the universal design cal-culation model was established,by abstracting the concept of"generalized process part"and"gen-eralized material".Moreover,the coal mill was taken as the example to put forward the model def-inition and algorithm of process part,thus the obj ect-oriented software model of the design calcu-lation software for pulverizing system was established.The engineering applications show that the developed software system has excellent universality and accuracy.

Abstract:On the basis of analyzing of the coupling relationship among variations in the heating system,and in accordance with the control requirements,the paper presents a basic control strategy in which the heating system is divided into several subsystems to be controlled respectively under the premise of effective decoupling.The control program of the variable flow heating system has been designed.Hardware configuration with IPC as the superordinate computer and PLC as the subordinate system,as well as the software design method are introduced.The design of PID control procedures,and the interrupted procedures are described in detail.

Abstract:Based on heat convection and conduction theory, energy balance equations, and IGSHPA method, develops a concise algorithm model for the design of buried vertical pipe heat exchangers. The comparison between the calculation results by the algorithm and the stable measurement data in a summer in Dalian shows that the error can be neglected for engineering applications. Different design schemes can be obtained under given heat exchange amount by the algorithm, namely the combination of various buried pipe depths, horizontal spacing, fluid velocities inside the pipes and the number of buried pipes, at the same time the corresponding fluid temperatures flowing in and out of the buried pipes can be found.

Abstract:To tackle the overheating problem of the heating surface in deep peak shaving, it is urgent to develop working substance (steam) temperature regulation and heating surface safety control technologies that combine combustion and hydrodynamic instability evaluation. This work relies on a 1000 MW boiler involved in deep peak shaving, and adopts CFD numerical simulation technology to obtain reasonable holographic heat load data of the boiler. The heat load data and the working substance side data are coupled to develop a real-time performance calculation model that combines combustion and hydrodynamic steam temperature. Real-time monitoring of the local position of the boiler water wall and the convection heating surface can be achieved through the three steps: heat load screening, heat exchange process calculation, and result display. The results show that through the corresponding expression of on-site industrial parameters and CFD simulation data, the effective analysis, extraction, modeling and optimization of the operation data can be realized for real-time online monitoring and intelligent early warning of the entire working condition. The model error is less than 2 °C and the model can realize early warnings at 5 min, so as to ensure the safety and stability of boiler operation and save the operating cost of the power plant to a certain extent.

Abstract:This paper is aimed to develop an overall mathematical model of a circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler on the basis of the previous research work. According to the modeling philosophy, the model integrates mathematical descriptions of underlying physical and chemical processes. The overall model is applied to the simulation of a 75 t/h CFB boiler and the predictions agree well with the performance test results. Operation practice proves that the overall model established in this paper applies well to CFB boilers and it is, therefore, a very useful tool for boiler designers and researchers.

Abstract:Tri-sectional regenerative air heater is used widely because of its compactness and better performance. Study on the matching analytical calculation method of heat transfer is rarely carried out because of the complicated heat transfer process. This paper developed a model to solve the heat transfer calculation of multi-sectional regenerative air heaters, which usually have several layers. Then we designed the computational procedure to carry out the model. One example of a tri-sectional regenerative air heater with hot layer and cold layer shows the effectiveness of the algorithm, and the results suggest that this approach is valid. The impact of leakage on performance of the regenerative air heater was discussed. There is a negative linear correlation between exhaust gas temperature and air leakage, and boiler efficiency has a nearly linear negative correlation with air leakage.

Abstract:Considering the features of heating surface arrangement,the furnace of large(ultra)supercritical coal-fired boilers was divided into a free volume region and a platen heating surface region,to which some key parameters previously calculated according to the former Soviet Union Standard 1973 were corrected,such as the effective radiation thickness,radiative absorption coefficient and the flame center height coefficient,etc.On above basis,a one-dimensional zonal thermal calculation method was proposed,which was used for in-furnace heat transfer calculation of four 600 MW supercritical coal-fired boilers and two1 000 MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired boilers.Results show that the error of outlet flue gas temperature between design value and calculated result obtained by the proposed method is obviously less than that by the former Soviet Union Standard 1973,indicating that the method can meet the accuracy requirement of actual engineering projects.

Abstract:Theoretical analysis was carried out for hydrodynamic characteristics of the coil tubes of evaporating heat-absorbing surface in boiler by following three schemes,integral simplifying calculation,sectional calculation ignoring uneven distribution of thermal and sectional calculation taking account of uneven distribution of thermal load.The effects of uneven distribution of thermal load on hydrodynamic characteristics and resistance of the coil tubes of evaporating heat-absorbing surface were studied.Results show that the hydrodynamic characteristics of the coil tubes of evaporating heat-absorbing surface are related to the distribution of thermal load and arrangement of the coil tubes.Under special conditions,the simplification method which ignores uneven distribution of thermal load will cause larger error and affect the accurate analysis of the realibility for hydrodynamic characteristics.

Abstract:Regenerating system is the main component of thermal dynamic system for the power plant and affects thermal calculation.This article derives a general model of heater for thermal dynamic system.Based on the general model,the thermal parameters of regenerating system can be calculated by Circulating Function Method.CFM is improved and used for online thermal calculation.The example shows that the method is simple,accurate and can easily be realized in online calculation.
