Abstract:To develop a quality control checklist for the prevention and control of coronavirus disease 2019 （COVID-19） in fever clinic and isolation ward of the general hospital and to assess its application. Based on the relevant prevention and control plans and technical guidelines for COVID-19，Delphi method was used to identity items for evaluation，and a quality control checklist for the prevention and control of COVID-19 in the fever clinic and isolation ward was developed in Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital. The checklists included 8 dimensions and 32 items for fever clinic，7 dimensions and 27 items for the isolation ward. The appointed inspectors conducted daily quality control for each shift with this checklist. The expert authority coefficient was 0.88，the mean of the importance of each index in the quality control table was not less than 4.8，and the coefficient of variation was not more than 0.07. During the entire February 2020，8 problems were found and rectified on-the-spot with the application of the checklist. Quality inspection rate was 100% in both isolation wards and fever clinic. The compliance rate and accuracy rate of hand hygiene were 100%; the correct rate of wearing and removing protective equipment increased from 96% to 100%. During the same period，a total of 1915 patients were admitted to the fever clinic，including 191 suspected patients （all were isolated in the hospital，3 were confirmed）. There were no medical staff infected with COVID-19，no cross infection of patients and their families in the hospital. A quality control checklist for the prevention and control of COVID-19 has been developed and applied in the isolation wards and fever clinic，which plays an important role in preventing nosocomial infection.

Abstract:The quality of healthcare service in inpatient departments of general hospitals is directly correlated with the satisfaction of the patients and it is an important influential factor of hospital performance. Based on interviews with sampled inpatients and their family members in a general hospital in Hangzhou, the service needs were collected and was graded as to their importance. Quality function deployment method was used to extract the quality improvement factors and the importance degree, based on which we found the most significant service improvement measures are the establishment of patient evaluation system, the reasonable arrangements of physical examinations, the inpatient environment improvement and rational distribution of the different departments.

Abstract:The quality control practice was carried out from five aspects:the strengthening of organizational leadership,improving the work process;the establishment of quality control network,the development of quality control objects;selection of quality control diseases,establishment of quality control indicators;supervising quality control information reporting,summary and analysis;carrying out "three-one" work,and focusing on correction and situation notification.The quality control network was sound in the province,and the quality control work improved continuously,with significantly improvement of the quality of medical content.However,measures should be carried out:optimizing the quality control center management mode,establishment of scientific and rational quality control index system,paying attention to the use of quality control data.

Abstract:Purpose Through the standardized quality management of department, the medical quality is improved and the medical safety is ensured.Methods Through the analysis on present situation and existing problems of quality management of the department and the whole hospital, with the help of requirements of hospital evaluation standard at home and abroad for the quality management of hospital and department, the hospital’s quality management organization structure is built, the department’s quality management standards are formulated, and a standardized quality management operation mode of the department is set up.Results The standardization of quality and safety management of hospital and department is improved, and the conformity of the quality management of department is improved.Conclusion Through strengthening department’s quality management and continuous quality improvement, the hospital’s medical quality management level can be comprehensively improved.

Abstract:Based on the investigation of quality control structure of 28 general tertiary hospitals in China, a descriptive analysis in perspectives of region, beds and quality management team are carried out. It shows that there is big gaps in quality management organization structure between regions. It is considered to strengthen organization construction, clear functions between departments, pay more attention to staff training and promote information system construction.

Abstract:This article brieves the significance of the quality of medical records in the mode of basic medical insurance and argues that five aspects concerning quality control should be brought into focus on coordination with the auditing requirements on the medical records put forward by the medical insurance department.The faculty should be educated to become quality-conscious and legality-conscious and the awareness of medical records quality-profit should be imbedded into their minds.The quality control standards of medical records should be set up and the system of quality control,feedback,rewards and punishment should be improved.The monitoring and evaluation by the medical insurance department should be treasured and mutual communication should be enforced to further improve the quality of medical records.

Abstract:Objective To identify the outcomes and effect of applying the health check-up nursing quality control system developed as supervised by JCI quality assessment standards.Methods The monitoring system for nursing quality in the health check-up department is established within the framework of the hospital quality improvement committee and in line with characteristics of the department.Quality improvement tools may be called into play for analysis and decision making to revolve critical problems found in health check-up nursing,upgrading nursing quality and customer satisfaction.Results Significant rise of health check-up quality and customer satisfaction for nurses,and the nurses are trained in quality control knowledge and get further involved in quality management of their department.Conclusion Health check-up nursing management system under the JCI standard is conducive to raising the nursing quality,and helps nurses with problem analysis and solution.

Abstract:Objective To explore advanced and effective methods of medical quality control. Methods A perspective method, together with literature summary, process analysis, statistics and computer network techniques, was employed. Results A model of real time control of medical quality via element management, process management, and monitored control management was set up; methods of real time control of quality and expenses for disease entities in hospitals were defined; the effect of clinical paths on real time control of the quality of hospitalization was ascertained; and ways of real time control of the quality of medical records were determined. Conclusion Real time control of medical quality is a new, effective way of monitoring medical quality.
Improvement of Methods for Controlling Nursing Quality

Abstract:Objective To improve the nursing quality,perfect the nursing management,and ensure the effectiveness of nursing service.Methods We established the nursing-quality-control system and designated the nursing-quality-control standard.Through routine inspection,random inspection,and specific inspection,we improved the inspected contents.The outcomes were compared before and after inspection and the results were analyzed with SPSS14.0.Results Compared with that before improvement,the improved system had a better result to various levels.The following parameters were significantly improved in the modified system(P0.05):the nursing quality,management of nursing units,aseptic material management,first-aid medicine and facility,basic nursing in the morning and evening,nursing plans,and the outcome of nursing measures.However,the amount of patients who were satisfied with the nursing quality dropped after the improvement.Other parameters had no statistical changes.Conclusion Establishing 3-level nursing quality controlling system and inspection panel,improving the inspection contents,exercising the head duty nursing policy,and quality control training can upgrade our nursing quality and level.

Abstract:Objective: Improve clinical department medical quality control system to promote medical quality. Methods: Three clinical departments were random sampled. Excellent medical records regulated by chief resident quality management system and quality control circle system were compared. Patient satisfaction rate was evaluated. Conclusions: Both chief resident quality management system and quality control circle system were effective systems for department medical quality control. Quality control circle system could stimulate doctors to participate the medical quality control.

An Application of Case Classification Quality Character Model in Evaluating Medical Quality of Breast Cancer

Abstract:Objective To accelerate hospital attach importance to medical quality control and constantly improve medical quality and hospital efficiency by evaluating medical quality of breast cancer. Methods The study chose home medical records and clinical treatment information of 3 048 cases of breast cancer in-patient in Jiangsu Provincial Tumor Hospital from January 1998 to September 2007, and used modified case-grade from model , defect and trend three parts to carry on gradation and evaluation of cases’ medical quality. Results The calculated medical quality scores of breast cancer cases were between 80% and 100%, and was 95.51% average. By the results of cases’ quality gradation were that gifted class were 1 021 cases (33.50%), good-class were 1 818 cases (59.65%), intermediate were 209 cases (6.86% ) and none of lower and the inferior level. Conclusion The case-grade is a relatively comprehensive method of evaluating cases’ medical quality. The grade of cases’ medical quality of breast cancer evaluated by improved case-grade is very good. It is suggested to implement standardization of medical quality, strengthen the work of case classification and comprehensively enhance the hospital quality management.

Abstract:Objective Through a comparative analysis on medical quality management of private hospitals and public hospitals, to identify shortcomings in two kinds of hospitals and the differences between them, and make recommendations for improvement.Methods Through the analysis of variance and Kruskal-Wallis H test, SNK method and Games-Howell method, the typical survey data among private hospitals, the 2nd Grade and 3rd Grade public hospitals were analyzed.Results The private hospitals compared with the 2nd Grade public hospitals, except individual scores of 2 aspects had no significant difference, the remaining individual scores of 6 aspects and scores were statistical difference; the private hospitals compared with the 3rd Grade public hospitals, individual scores of 8 aspects and scores all had statistical difference; the 2nd Grade public hospitals compared with the 3rd Grade public hospitals, only total score of every hospital had statistical difference, there was no statistical difference in individual scores of 8 aspects.Conclusion The private and public hospitals all had shortcomings on medical quality management, but the private hospitals were worse than the public hospitals in general; the level of management of private hospitals was uneven, but there were some private hospitals whose management are normative.The government should strengthen the supervision of hospitals (especially of private hospitals), improve the supervision and inspection system, and establish and improve the information disclosure system of medical quality management.

Abstract:Objective To learn the present hospital medical quality management,to explore and improve the quality of care management system.Methods Literature review analysis theory of medical quality management system,questionnaires analysis the present medical quality management,case and influencing factors.Results The literature review showed that the trend of quality management study increased year by year in recent 20 years,and is gradually becoming a hot topic in China.The management practices survey found the quality of care management systems mostly established,yet with rooms of improvement for the management content and details.Thanks to the three-stage introduction,operation and indepth study of international standards,hospitals have effectively promoted their quality management.Conclusions Key influencing factors for hospital quality management are the design of such quality management system itself,and lack of quality tools and resources.To build a better quality of care management system,efforts should be paid from both internal and external aspects,thus elevating such quality to a new level.

Abstract:Objectives:To analyze the present situation and existing problems of organization structure of medical quality management in China,and provide the basis for further improvement.Methods:10 general public hospitals of Shenzhen were selected to have a self-designed questionnaire and statistics analysis were done according to the data.Results:It shows that all the selected hospitals have set three tiers medical quality management structure.Awareness rate of the functions of medical quality management organizational structure is better in district level hospitals than that of in municipal hospitals.Organizational structure of medical quality management plays well in both district level and municipal level hospitals.All the hospitals want to set up and improve medical quality management information system.Compared to the district level hospitals,municipal level hospitals take more expectation on more professional medical quality management staff.Conclusions:Improving the framework of quality management organizational structure,post setting and work responsibilities,making more efforts on staff training and human resources introduction,building total quality management information system based on cloud computing can provide an objective and unified platform for medical quality management and supervision.
