Abstract:With the development of soccer robots, application of embedded real-time operating system (RTOS) in the control system of robots is attracting more and more considerable attention for meeting the increased requirements of complexity and real time. A control system of intelligent robocup was developed, which was based on the embedded RTOS of MicroC/OS-II and the digital signal processing (DSP) chip of TMS320F2407. It adopted the control algorithm of PPLID available in the literature. This control system is superior in computation, control and real-time performance.

Abstract:Based on advanced Microprocessors MPC8260 and real-time operating system VxWorks, a high-performance embedded computing control platfonn is proposed to meet the increased requirements of complexity and real time in intelligent control systems. DSP array and FPGA is also designed for high-speed parallel signal processing. This platfonn can be used in communication, intelligent robot, military aircrafts, radar and medical imaging instruments etc.

Abstract:For the shortages of current multi-axis motion control system in synchronization and the control a-bility, a multi-axis motion control system based on EtherCAT is designed. The master station and slave sta-tion are constructed using real-time operating system. A solution of building embedded EtherCAT master is presented, which uses IgH EtherCAT Master open source components for RT-Linux, and Qt for GUI. The slave of this system is based on uC/OS-III operating system, which uses preemptive kernel to guarantee the real-time data among slaves. Thus, this system can ensure the synchronization among multi-axis. The results shows that, the multi-axis motion control system based on EtherCAT has a facilitate connection and the syn-chronization time is at microsecond level, which can meet the requirement of real-time and synchronization.

Abstract:A real - time fuzzy control algorithm is presented in this paper, and the realization way for a class of motion control systems is analyzed; then the fuzzy motion control system based on CAN field bus is implemented. Both the overall architecture of the system and the design of field motion controller are proposed here. The experiments results show that the proposed fuzzy control system has better performance in the rapid response real - time and precision and is useful in motion control system.

Abstract:Simulink is the best simul at ion tool for the design of control systems, but it is not effective for system r ealization because it is not friendly used and is not easily customized. Visual C++ is more useful for system realization, but the designers have to code the wh ole system in C++ after they have studied it using Simulink blocks. This paper p resents a method to easily translate Simulink blocks to C++ code for the whole s ystem. The simulations also include real-time control, so few changes are neede d to transfer the program into a real-time control system in Visual C. The meth od seamlessly links Simulink and Visual C; therefore, the development period is shortened greatly because there is no need to manually code the Simulink blocks. The system is also helpful for software secondary development and system integr ation. The timing method and resource allocation are discussed in detail.

Abstract:Traditional motion controllers for robots make use of PC and motion control board,which cost much.This article presents a generic motion control system,which saves cost.DPRAM implemented in FPGA is used to transmit data between DSP and upper computer.FPGA also converts data from serial to parallel and simplify the routing of board.The algorithm of curve interpolation and inverse kinematics is simulated on DSP.The result shows that this system works properly and the speed of each axis changes smoothly.

Abstract:Two approaches to the real-time control based on Matlab were discussed, and a novel expert fuzzy control scheme and the Matalb based real-time control approach was proposed, by directly employing the M-files and by using Simulink and Real-Time Workshop (RTW). M-files are easy to program but with slow operation speed; Simulink and RTW is easy to modify control parameters with high operation speed, importantly Simulink and RTW files can be translated directly into C code after trail operation, and thus implement the Rapid Control Prototyping. By programming in Matlab and using the general-purpose PCI data-acquisition card and the self-designed rotary-encoder data-acquisition card, the proposed approaches work effectively in the real-time fuzzy control of the inverted pendulum system and rotary servo system.

Abstract:This paper accounts for the design problem of on-board digital control system for MUAV based on RTLinux. Specially, an effective approach is presented to solve the problem of collecting data from serial ports using interrupt mechanism in user's realtime threads. A reasonable software structure for the control system is also presented ,and the state estimation part has been implemented under RTLinux successfully. The results of on-board tests prove its effectiveness.

Abstract:This paper proposes a real-time solution to data-driven control for multi-motor-driven mechanisms. The first contribution is that a complete real-time motion control platform is presented, i.e., all the physical controllers in both master and slave levels operate on their own real-time operating systems, and high-speed standard peripheral component interconnect bus interface guarantees an efficient access between the two levels and extensibility of the platform. As a second contribution, the proposed control system is implemented with a data-driven control method that enables the controller design without considering the dynamics model of the system, which highlights its flexibility to diverse controlled plants. Finally, an experimental illustration is presented to verify the proposed scheme, comparison results demonstrate its superior motion control performance.

Abstract:Compare the commercial RTOS software package with free software, our choice of system design is primarily based on current application situations in China. The authors have some application experiences of LynxOS, VRTX, pSOS, VXWARK and also some free software, we hope our discussion will give some hints on which system to choose in future control system for the coming several accelerator projects in China. uC/OS and MCX11 is actually a free real-time kernel which has recently been applied in control systems of various areas. And we have found some use of it in accelerator control subsystem because of its exiguity, availability and transparency. The structure of a free RTOS kernel, some basic ideas of real-time system, together with application of the kernels into accelerator control subsystems, is described in the paper.

Abstract:Rapid control prototyping (RCP) is now the typical method used by engineers to develop and test their control strategies, but the commercial RCP systems are too expansive for researchers to use. This paper presents an economical RCP (eRCP) system based on MATLAB/Simulink and the Target Support Package TC2 toolbox. A TI TMS320F2812 DSP based real-time control board for 4 axes mechatronic system and data acquisition was developed for the eRCP system. The eRCP system has functions for symbolic model development, automatic code generation, variable monitoring, and parameter tuning. A complex controller for the linear motor driven double inverted pendulum (LMDDIP) was implemented by the eRCP system to demonstrate the performance of the developed system.

Abstract:The hardware platform used in studying multi-agent design and realization by Tsinghua RoboCup group is introduced.A speed-current double-closed-loop control system without speed sensor for micro drag cup DC motor is mainly studied,and the simple and effective motor control method and motor parameter measurement method are put forward.Furthermore,the advantages and shortcomings in using current inner-loop are contrastively discussed and analysed.Finally the total control procedure and system optimization adopted in control are described.
