Abstract:Aim To detect if tubercle bacillus L-form can induce apoptosis of spermatogenic cells, and guess the relation between infection of tubercle bacillus L-form and male infertility.Methods After injecting tubercle bacillus L-form to rat testis repeatedly,testis tisuss was taken to have HE staining,meanwhile apoptotic cells were detected with in situ end-labeling(ISEL). Results Apoptosis was found in 15 cases of 20 experimental rat testis;there is no apoptosis in the control group;apoptosis has manifest deference between the two groups(P0.005).Conclusion Infection of tubercle bacillus L-form can cause spermatogenic cell apoptosis,perhaps there is some relation between infection of tubercle bacillus L-form and male infertility.
