THE ISODEWAXING TECHNOLOGY OF LUBRICANTS INSIDE AND OUTSIDE CHINA

Abstract:Faced with the pressure to reduce process cost and improve base oil quality,the isodewaxing technology as a new lubricant base oil dewaxing technology,has been developed and improved continuously.This process is based on a new catalyst which can make wax isomerize,and provide higher Ⅵ base oils than solvent dewaxing or other catalytic dewaxing processes.This process has been adopted by more and more manufacturers,becoming the development trend of lube base oil dewaxing technology.The catalytic chemistry,the catalysts and the technique characteristics of this process are discussed,meanwhile the start up and the running of the plants which use this process,both in China and abroad,are introduced.
