Abstract:Based on industry PC and domestic GT400-SV multiaxis motion control card,a new open architecture numerical control shoe last machine tool was developed.The components of system hardware were proposed,and the structure of NC system application software was discussed.The software was designed and developed in the WINDOWS environment.Practicability and characteristics of open architecture were proved when shoe last machining on the control of the NC systems.

Abstract:Hardware components and working principles of the developed free-form surface non-contact measurement system are introduced. Algorithms such as adaptive allocation of measurement points for given CAD model of free-form surface, measurement path planning and measured points data processing for creating CAD model of new free-form surface are studied. Effectiveness of the algorithms are proved by the results of computer simulation and experiments.

Abstract:Aiming at the detection and control problems of automatic surface mounting machine with high-speed and high-precision, the status of overseas advanced surface mounting technology and realistic production is first given. The key characteristics and functions of the motion control, visual recognition and PCB data are also analyzed. Based on the visual recognition, motion optimization and control algorithms are developed by the authors,and the whole software system is then designed and integrated. The program realization technique of surface mounting system is particularly presented.

Abstract:Object-oriented technology is used to study the CAD/CAM system of super CNC glass carve center in this paper. Based on a successful development of the CAD/CAM system on the OS of WINDOWS, Modular organization in the CAD/CAM system and the detail process of figure forming are presented. It has been proved that the developed CAD system of glass carve robot that is accurate and effectively , and is very successful by a great deal of practice.

Abstract:This paper represents a compound feedrate control method for sculptured surfaces machining with multi-axis CNC machine tools. To retaining a constant and appropriated surface cutting speed in CNC machining, this method considers the part surface geometry, synthetic movement and kinetics of machine tools. In contrast to those traditional methods, the method can gain more appropriate F-code instruction in NC program. Then a X'Y'ZAB type five-axis machine tool is taken as an example to analyze the translation and rotation movement respectively, and the displacement and velocity changing curves of each axis were displayed as the result. By utilizing aided information file and setting proper F-code in NC program files, this method can facilitate improvement of machining quality and efficiency.

Abstract:A compound strategy of feedrate control is proposed for sculptured surfaces machining with five-axis CNC in this paper. With the principle of retaining a constant and appropriated surface cutting speed, the strategy is described by involving the geometry, movement synthesis and dynamic property of machine tools. The curves of displacement and velocity are displayed as a result. By utilizing aided information file and setting proper F code, velocity control of each axis is implemented which can facilitate improvement of machining quality and efficiency.

Abstract:Free form surfaces are primarily designed and manufactured by CAD/CAM/CNC system. In traditional way, toolpath generation approaches always consider machining precision and efficiency by constraining scallop height and toolpath lengths. However, toolpath lengths do not exactly reflect the actual machining time because the feedrate usually fluctuates along different toolpath during CNC interpolating period, which indicates that the total machining efficiency is coupled with both toolpath generation and interpolation. Therefore, the toolpath generation and interpolation systems should not be independent, and the conventional unidirectional information flow from CAM to CNC should be replaced by a new mechanism with information exchange and mutual optimization. This paper proposes an inverse evaluation mechanism with feedback information from CNC to CAM system. The feedback information is obtained by off-line interpolation simulation for each toolpath and evaluation of the total machining time for the entire surface. With the feedback information, CAM is able to optimize the toolpath or choose the best one among candidate solutions. As the evaluation mechanism should be under the same interpolation algorithm, an interpolation algorithm with axis kinematic/dynamic constraints is also introduced. The simulation results with different free form surfaces show that the proposed mechanism can economically improve the machining efficiency without increasing system cost.

Abstract:The parametric model and the parametric drive mechanism of the mould board were established.The data share mechanism and calling mechanism between CAD and CAE programs were also discussed and implemented.An integrated design software-HTFXS1.0,based on the UG and ANSYS,was developed in the environment of VC++.Finally the module of parameterized CAD and the CAE programs were integrated,which was appiled to real mould board of HTF530 injection machine.

Abstract:Subdivision surface, as a presentation of free-form surface with the stereo lithography (STL) format, has gained wide application in manufacturing industry recently, because of its simple geometric computation, robustness superior to parametric surface, and high efficiency in tool path generation. However, conventional tool-path generation methods can not be applied directly for STL model, and for 5-axis machine tools it is an even harder job considering yawing angle and tilting angle. Especially for toroidal cutters which machining work piece using the rounded edge, tool contact situation is even more complicated. In this paper an interference-free 5-axis tool-path generation algorithm using toroidal cutter is proposed to reduce tool ware and extend tool life span. A contacting model in cutting process is designed firstly, and profile similarity between ball-end cutter and toroidal cutter is analyzed, which is used to determine tool position. After planning tool-path, a novel step adjusting method is described to make it smoother and reduce cutter fluctuation, providing a substantial protection on machine tool and machining precision. At last, various illustrative complex surface examples are conducted to clarify its efficiency and robust by simulation on a PC with 2.0 G memory and 2.7 GHZ CPU.

Abstract:In order to improve the effect of intelligent CNC machining, this paper combines the CAD/CAM/Robot integration method to improve the CNC machining method and analyzes the tool path planning method and the path generation algorithm of the five-axis CNC machining machine. Through the tool processing calculation of the representative curved surface, this paper studies the basic theory, process planning, and tool parameter selection of the blade of the representative curved surface in the five-axis CNC machining and generates the blade CNC machining tool path through the simulation software. In addition, this paper analyzes the trajectory of the workpiece through the intelligent processing process and builds an intelligent processing system. Through the statistics of simulation test data, it can be seen that the CNC machining method based on CAD/CAM/Robot integration can effectively improve the intelligence of modern CNC machining and improve the effect of intelligent machining.

Abstract:To meet the high performance and real time requirement in machining of the non circular middle convex and varying ellipse piston, the CNC system with multi processor and upper nether architecture was designed. Multi axis motion controller was used to realize the real time control of normal CNC module. A DSP controller was used as the key control component of ellipse section turning module,i.e., linear servo system. The IPC is responsible for those work with less real time requirement, such as CNC system management, data processing and human machine interaction. Through adopting the multi layer and modulization idea, the CNC system for middle convex and varying ellipse piston turning was developed under the Windows2000 platform, which satisfies the requirement of piston processing. This system has a few merits including powerful functions, friendly interface, easy use, good expansibility and so on. This system has been tested in one factory and put into manufacturing.

Abstract:CNC (Computer Numeric Control) has long been used in manufacturing. Hardware and software integration is part of the CNC system. Various integrations have been developed to address issues such as vendor dependency, affordability, adaptability, and sustainability. The Open Architecture Control (OAC) technology-based system was a big hit among them. This research created a new integrated CNC system based on OAC, virtual component, and microcontroller technologies. Machine motion control, simulator, monitoring, remote access, and report generation are all included in the system. It can work with a variety of firmware and is suitable for milling machines, 3D printers, and three-axis laser cutting. The system has been put to the test and has proven to be reliable. The paper’s content discusses the system’s development, working principle, experimental study, and future directions.
