Abstract:As a new kind of NC saw machine,milling flying saw has a great market prospect in pipe processing lines.The principle of suppressing vibration by milling with varying milling parameters was introduced to guide a better design of the control system of the milling flying saw.By applying different processing parameters,such as feed rate and spindle speed,the forced vibration and chatter were suppressed effectively during the processing.The processing quality and efficiency were also improved.

Abstract:Influenced by scaling?off cutting, to the mass produced rods and steel tube blank, the phenomena of burr and flashing are found. If the parts are processed by manual chamfering and lathe, it is tremendously labor intensive and low efficiency. To solve the problem, an efficient double?headed automatic chamfering machine was designed based on PLC control. The structural components of the chamfering machine were introduced , the gas?liquid control diagram and the electric control schematic figure including the flow chart of software programming were described in detail. The practices have proven productivity and end quality are improved greatly be?cause the chamfering machine can be used to realize double end continuous processing although loading once.

Abstract:To overcome the problems in the checking of auto air-condition compressor, such as uncontinuous process, long period, notable artifical effect and so on, we design an auto air-condition compressor checking system. This system, using SIEMENS SIMATIC S7-300 PLC and OP170B, can complete all checking items automatically. This paper presents the main characters of this system including equipments, control flow, hardware design and software programming. Practice has proved that this system can improve the checking rate remarkably and guarantee the checking accuracy so that it fulfills the design requirement.

Abstract:Tool path generation, post-processing and verification and simulation of NC program are key technologies which are investigated in this research for manufacturing impellers. Generation of tool path aims at producing the cutting tool path. Post-processing transforms the cutter location file (CLSF file) of the tool path to the NC code which NC machine can recognize. Verification and simulation of NC program aims at proving the accuracy of program, thus the interference and collision can be avoided. When tool path is planned, increasing the machining efficiency during the rough and semi-finish milling process is the main consideration. Increasing machining accuracy is an important consideration for final finish milling.

Abstract:This paper studied the design of PLC electrical control system of CNC machine tool. The design program of the electrical control system is established according to the requirements. The parameters of all electrical components are determined through calculation of electric load for selection of electrical equipment and wires. Then the design of power supply and distribution of the electrical control system is described in detail, and the design of the electrical control system of main equipment is studied. This paper focuses on the design of spindle, feed axis and module. In addition, this paper summarized the design of the electrical control cabinet, wiring, installation and commissioning of electrical equipment, inspection of the machining effect after installation and the control system. The entire CNC machine tool electrical control system is designed.

Abstract:STandard for the Exchange of Product model data-compliant Numerical Control data interface(STEP-NC) data model and machining program structure were firstly analyzed.Machining program information extraction system was designed.Principles and realization method of model entity construction,lexical analysis,entity-instance matching and information assorting with feature reconstruction were discussed in detail.Based on above-proposed model,the STEP-NC information extract experiment prototype system was developed,and it was proved to be effective in reading the examples of ISO STEP-NC FDIS.

Abstract:A virtual system based on virtual manufacturing technique and NC processing technique for NC milling is developed with Visual C++6.0. The control panel and mill bed of this system is similar to that of the real machine. This system can realize the 3D simulation of machining process and collision-checking during cutting process. It can check most of syntax errors in NC program to reduce the waste of resource and equipment and to raise the using ratio of NC machine.

Abstract:Analytical model that used to study the generation of surface topography is based on the principle of swept surface during cutting operation.In order to optimize NC machining conditions so as to achieve minimum surface roughness,the generation mechanism of work-piece surface must be studied and the effect factors of such cutting parameters as cutting speed,feed rate and depth of cut on surface roughness and its trend must be explored.A surface roughness prediction model for ball-end milling was established by using computer graphics algorithms.The model can give machined surface profiles and visualization of surface topography,surface roughness prediction and evaluation of machining parameters.

Abstract:Industrial robots are gradually being employed in machining processes, particularly the cutting process, owing to their flexibility, mobility, and economic efficiency. However, it is difficult to make the manufacturing process intelligent owing to the complexity of robot machining process information handling and programming. In this paper, the architecture of a STEP-NC compliant closed-loop robot machining system was designed, including its function model and information stream. A methodology based on STEP-NC was established to enable the analysis of high-level information directly and automatically generating robot program according to the actual machining conditions. The STEP-NC Application Activity Model (AAM) and Application Reference Model (ARM) of closed-loop robot machining system is built to integrate the machining process data, monitoring and inspection data, mechanical equipment data, machining status data and inspection result data within a unified data flow, making it possible to realize intelligent manufacturing and adaptively adjusting the robot machining process. The proposed closed-loop robot machining system was implemented based on an open STEP-NC interpreter that interprets the high-level information in STEP-NC directly to reduce machining robot programming time. An industrial camera was integrated with the robot for rawpiece positioning, then the STEP-NC interpreter can generate robot path rapidly according to the parameters of manufacturing features and position of rawpiece. The STEP-NC interpreter can generate a robot control program or communicate with a software controller using an application program interface, so it can be integrated with both existing industrial robot controllers and future open robot controllers. Finally, case studies are conducted for the functional verification of the proposed STEP-NC compliant closed-loop robot machining system.
