Abstract:This paper introduced the functional module composition of Zhejiang Provincial Water Conservancy Management Information System, and analyzed the database structure and logic relations of the system. The paper also discussed the characteristics of main developing tools and operational platform. The applications in Zhejiang Provincial governmental offices and other administrative departments show that the system has an advanced design, powerful functions, high stability and good practicability.

Abstract:As the impact of meteorological information becomes more extensive, the demand of user application interface and interaction effect is increasingly high, the necessity of the application code portability gets more evident, we selected the cross-platform, cross-browser Web front-end technology—Silverlight, combined with WebService interface provided by Bing Maps, designed a Silverlight-based meteorological service system to make any user at any time, any place connected to the Internet, automatically acquire the real-time severe weather warning signals and other conventional weather forecast released by meteorological department. The system provides a WebService-based GIS function.Studies show that the combination of rich client and network services is feasible in the Web Map Service.

Abstract:The number of internet-based Geographical Information Systems (Web GIS) applications has rapidly increased in recent years, in particular with the emergence of sites such as those underpinned by Google Maps technology. Web GIS is seen as a useful tool for E-Government. The Land Management Information System based on WebGIS achieves the purpose of geographic data transmission on internet, and can improve the land information management level. It allows more people to enjoy the service of Geographic Information Sharing. From the status quo and developing needs of land in Lujiazui district of Shanghai, this paper puts forward the significance of building Lujiazui land system. In the paper, user needs, framework and functions have been analyzed emphatically. It is proved that the WebGIS system structure discussed in this paper is practicable.

Abstract:The MapXtreme for Windows is Maplnfo' s web map application server based on Internet. This paper introduces in detail the B/S framework of MapXtreme, the characteristics of WebGIS and the fundamental methords of We-bGIS development using MapXtreme, together with the application research on flood control WebGIS implementation. By using MapXtreme technology, the distribution, inquiry and analysis of flood control map information in experiment area are successfully implemented, the flood control GIS web site is also established.

Abstract:WebGIS is the integration of Internet and GIS,and it is a realization of GIS on Web.Using WebGIS,people could browse the spacial data and the special map while analyze the spacial data on Web with the browser(such as IE and Netscape).Today,the technology development of WebGIS is speedy in the world.There are many framework for WebGIS,such as ArcIMS of ESRI,MapXtreme,MapInfo or MapGuide of AutoDesk and some national manufactures(SuperMap IS,Geobeans and Geosurf).There are also some successful Web Stations,for example Map of World、Science of NuoPan、Golden Coordinate、MapABC and so on.There are differences between them in function.This paper expounds the whole process of WebGIS,which is using the Map Web Service of ArcIMS,the spatial Engine of ArcSDE,the technology of ArcObject and javascript in the Web Station of www.landjs.com.

Abstract:Since the concept of WebGIS appeared, its theory and application have been researched in our country. But it is still under the experimentation until now, so it cannot be called the real So it is necessary to summarize the research results for these years. This paper sums up the main characteristics of WebGIS on the basis of collecting and studying a great deal of published scientific thesises, research reports, degree thesises and applications. The paper also sums up the key problems and realizing technology of WebGIS, and its application status in agriculture, forestry, weather, water conservancy, earthquake, ocean, land and resource, environment protection, railroad and traffic, electric power, city construction and programming are emphasized. Finally the paper discusses the development trend of WebGIS. The conclusion is that WebGIS can be used more widely as an opening application platform.

Abstract:In view of the characteristics of those large irrigation districts,such as large volumes of monitoring data,complex data types,high real-time requirements,and strong spatial correlation,based on both rich client development techniques and those powerful advantages of the WebGIS Technology,such as spatial analysis,map expression,and data storage and management,a WebGIS-based Integrated Hydraulic Information Management System of large irrigation districts is built up in this study.Consisting of the following three parts,namely the comprehensive database of hydraulic information,the platform of information sharing,and the service system of information resource management and application,this system implements not only the integrated management of the irrigation districts hydraulic information,such as water and rainfall monitoring information,water quality information,sluice gate information,soil moisture information,channel information,and video monitoring information,but also such daily applications as office automation,through which full technical support for the management and decision-making of the irrigation districts is thereby provided and the management efficiency of those irrigation districts is then consequently improved.

Abstract:WEBGIS is a technology based on the Internet and GIS,it is more excellent than the general management information system (MIS)in the water resources information system,it provides distributive management,assessment, monitor and preservation to water resources and water environment. Integrating with database,GIS and professional management model of water resources,we can develop special MIS which is suitable for water resources management This article takes Yinzhou in Ningbo located in the east coastland of China as a study area,it makes an application of water resources management in medium and small river basins based On WEBGIS. The result indicates that it realizes some functions such as spatial information-query related to the synthetic management of water resources,and it can afford some experiential model to the Application of WEBGIS in the information system of water resources.

Abstract:Current WebGIS platform developing techniques,such as CGI,Server API,Plug-ins,ActiveX, Java and so on,have their respective limitations. A new WebGIS system framework based on COM+ technology is presented. Technical foundation and system structure are discussed. Three key problems are put forward and resolved. Finally,an application example is given. It is proved that the solution can make full use of the resource of server, support operations by multiple users simultaneously have high system security and is independent of the platform of client.

Abstract:Based on the analysis of the software architecture of existing GIS applications in industry,a compound architecture pattern which integrates Client/Server architecture and Browser/Server architecture is proposed so as to better meet the requirement for geospatial information sharing and make better use of geospatial resources.The compound architecture is then used to remake the system which has been used in the Land and Resources industry,called Urban Cadastral Information System,by dividing the original single-architected system into several subsystems with the GIS functionality provided by the same GIS Server.The prototype system runs well and the expected goals are achieved,which to some extent solves the problem that once the single-architected system ran into,meets the demands for sharing the geospatial information and provides new thoughts for the GIS-related applications in other industries.
