Abstract:A control method of linear acceleration and deceleration on step motor was introduced in this paper. The main idea was to judge the deceleration district according to the residual length of the line segment. This method reduced machining time greatly and increased cutting efficiency availably. It also had the characteristic of intelligent control. The method had been applied and confirmed in the NC system successfully.

Abstract:Permanent magnet linear synchronous motors (PMLSM) is much superior to the traditional ones driven by rotating motor with the transition elements, but its control system is much more complex. To the model uncertainty and disturbance in grinding, a robust velocity controller was designed according to the frequency characteristic of the system and the design objectives. The Bode of the sensitivity function and the direct-forward transfer function was presented to demonstrate the disturbance rejection and robustness performance of the system. Simulation and experiment results demonstrate that the designed system is robust stable. Compared to original fluid driving system, The PMLSM driver had smaller steady-state error and better performance to reject disturbance.

Abstract:In order to simplify the configuration of electronic jacquard,a method of linear motor drive was presented.Through the improvement of material and structure,the electromagnetic drive was replaced by linear DC motor.The drive circuit was reversible in this system.The linear motor was controlled by the change of drive current.There was a bit ″P″ to represent the location of the motor in the program.Advance and return movement was replaced by unidirectional motion judging the adjacent state of the bit ″P″.The motors and sensor were installed and controlled concentratively.The configuration is simpler and the control objective is much obvious in the electronic jacquard driven by linear motor when compared with traditional one.It can speed up the running of the machine and improve the work efficiency to apply this system in practical production.

Abstract:In this paper, the structure, features and operating principles of the rotational-linear magnetic drive gear based on the principles of the linear motor are analyzed. Using finite element analysis software ANSYS, 2-D and 3-D equivalent model on the overall structure of are established. Through model analysis, the design size of magnetic gear, its performance parameters are discussed. The curves of each parameter and the magnetic force, including the magnetic pole arc, the air gap thickness and tooth thickness are plotted. Considering the processing level of practical engineering, the magnetic gear structure is optimized. The simulation experiment on optimized structure verifies the feasibility of the improved structure.

Abstract:The concept of the unit linear motor with two poles is presented by discussing the relationship between the thrust and the geometry configuration of linear motor.Then the design method of linear motor by using the unit linear motor with two poles is discussed.By using this method,a permanent magnet linear motor with a thrust of 3000N is designed and produced.Finally a few performance experiments are taken to verify the result of design.

Abstract:The high-speed and high-precision motorized spindle is the future development trend of the CNC machine tool field, and has become the focus of research in the world. High-speed motorized spindles tend to develop in the direction of high precision, high speed, low energy consumption, high efficiency, and high reliability. We undertake a through, systematic review of the development history perspective of the research on precision bearing technology, dynamic balancing technology, thermal error measurement and compensation technology with regard to the key technologies of high-speed motorized spindles. On this basis, the current level of development of key technologies for high-speed motorized spindles is analyzed, and the objective advantages and disadvantages of existing technologies are summarized. Finally, the development tendency of high-speed motorized spindle technology is predicted and foreseen.

Abstract:Although the linear motor can be seen by a rotary motor cut open after straightening formation,its structure and analysis method have its own characteristics. In order to complete the teaching task with high quality during limited course time,this paper makes the exploration and practice for teaching of Theory and Application of Linear Motor course: introducing the different structure by closely combined with the practical application of video,pointing out differences by contrast teaching method and setting classroom practice of the armature winding production etc. These methods not only stimulate learning interest of students,but also well take into account the requirements of different level students.

Abstract:Abstract The feed drive system for machine tool consist of rolling elements such as ball screw and linear guides. It is well known that in the positioning of linear guides using steel ball rolling, the contact surface has nonlinear spring characteristics. This phenomenon is deteriorating the accuracy of the machine tool. In this study, we have manufactured a feed drive system in which the physical contacts are only linear guides by using a linear motor as actuator. At first, we measured the responses to some fine feed amount for feed drive system. Next, the same experiment was performed by changing the linear guideways. This paper presents the transition of nonlinear spring characteristic region by considering the response to linear guides under different conditions.

Abstract:This paper studied the electromagnetism structure design of PMLSM and the hardware and software development of servo control system to satisfy the requirements of NC machine,based on the comparison with other form linear motors.Then it solved the problems of infliction load and speed related data record.And it tested the capability of prototype motor,gave the test method and result of orientation force especially.It shows that the prototype motor performs well.

Abstract:With the development of the modern manufacturing industry, especially that of high-speed and high-precision machining, higher performances of computer numerical control (CNC) machine tools are necessary than ever. For high-precision CNC machine tools, vibration in high-speed machining is an important factor to affect the machining accuracy. As a significant part of CNC machine tools, the dynamic characteristics of the feed drive system have a great impact on the machining performance. Ball screw drive systems are widely applied in the majority of CNC machine tools for the time being. In the process of high-speed machining, the vibration of the ball-screw drive system will affect the stability of the control system and the machining accuracy of CNC machine tools. Thus, further investigation of dynamic characteristics and vibration control methods of the ball-screw drive system will be of great importance to improve the machining performance. A comprehensive review is carried out here to research statuses of vibration analysis and control methods for feed drive systems. Related studies on system modeling, parameter identification, and vibration control technologies are classified and summarized. The advantages and disadvantages of different methods are discussed and compared. Moreover, the linear parameter-varying (LPV) modeling method of ball-screw drive systems and corresponding control technologies are introduced in detail. Finally, related research prospects are systematically presented based on the existing studies, and these research directions which are rarely studied will be of great significance to develop vibration control technologies for CNC machine tool feed drive systems.

Abstract:This paper presents a kind of new design way of electromechanical system of high performance linear servo motor that is of digital feedback,including the hardware and control system design. This system adopts grating to measure the position and uses the DSP to process the signal, and applies the control algorithm based on a non-linear state observer,then the electromechanical dynamic performance of system has been improved greatly. The control error has been reduced greatly and the track performance has been improved greatly.

Abstract:Dual-linear-motor-driven gantry systems have been widely used in high-speed or heavy payload precision motion systems. Due to the unique physical properties such as mechanical coupling, the precise synchronization control of such kinds of systems is crucial to achieve good tracking and smooth operation performance. However, the existing synchronization schemes usually focus on the pure motion synchronization only and, thus, have certain inherent performance limitations. In this paper, an accurate multi-input multi-output mathematical model of a dual-driven gantry is presented first, where the complete planar motions of the crossbeam include the traditional linear motion along the guide rails and the previously ignored rotational motion around the mass center. With the better understanding of the mechanical coupling and the internal forces caused by the rotational dynamics, an advanced synchronization control scheme by directly taking into account the additive rotational dynamics is presented, which not only synchronizes the motions of two parallel motors but also regulates the internal forces. In the proposed scheme, the adaptive robust control algorithm is also applied to obtain a guaranteed robust performance in the presence of both parametric uncertainties and uncertain nonlinearities. Comparative experiments with previous control schemes are carried out to show the better synchronization performance and verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract:On the base of architecture and principle of the planer motor,the control technology was introduced.The driving force of the planar motor was decoupled.The effect of the heterogeneity coupling of the magnetic field upon the non-linearity of the driving force was discussed,and the compensation methods were given.The diagnosis and test method of vertical stator gap symmetry was discussed.Results show that the methods proposed improve positioning precision of planar motor.
Robust nonlinear controller for PMLSM feed drives in grinding machines

Abstract:A globally stable nonlinear controller was introduced into a permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) feed drive to eliminate the large model uncertainties and disturbances. To enhance the stability and tracking performance, the nonlinear controller fully utilizes the signals such as the position tracking error and its integral position tracking error, the velocity and its error and the second derivative of the reference input. Then a Lyapunov function was constructed to verify the stability of the nonlinear controller. Simulations and experimental results show that the tracking error and the speeding response of the nonlinear controller is much superior to those of the traditional nested PI controller; that the nonlinear controller is robust to model uncertainties and disturbances; and that the velocity fluctuation is small for different cutting depth in the grinding.

Abstract:Induction motor is a nonlinear system with significant coupling. This paper applies the direct feedback linearization (DFL) theory. The appropriate coordinate transformation and nonlinear state feedback are obtained through deriving the output equations, with which the input and output of induction motor system is linearized. Furthermore, as an essential problem in DFL, the zero dynamics is researched so that the stability of the control system is guaranteed. Simultaneously, the system is decoupled into two independent subsystems, flux and rotor speed, which realizes the completely dynamic decoupling. The simulation results show that the method proposed in this paper has satisfying performances.
