Abstract:PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) is successfully applied in Huzhou Central Hospital, and is well integrated with its HIS system by WEBSERVICE middleware. The system supports DICOM 3.0 Standard, and DICOM gateways are installed for modalities that do not support DICOM so as to have implemented the digitalization of all the image departments in the hospital.

Abstract:Interoperability among healthcare information systems is one of the most challenging problems in healthcare domain. In this paper, we propose a structure of Interoperable Medical Information System based on SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) and Web 2.0 under the framework of Regional Health Information Network. Various components are described in detail, including authentication, data access, and services management and so on. Services for medical information getting are registered and published by the system; users then access the system to search and fetch demanded services and value-added applications. All of the heterogeneous and distributed data and applications are converted to independent services according to international standards. As a result of the use of SOA, the system is levels clearly demarcated with good universality and maintainability.

Abstract:With the constant development of information technology and the increasing demand for medical services, hospital information construction has become a major trend of health development. Various information systems used in the hospital at present, such as Electronic Medical Record, Radiology Information System and so on, adopt different system platforms, interfaces and standards, so that the information resources generated by these heterogeneous clinical information systems(CIS) exist differences in formats, syntax and terminology, which restricts data exchanging between these systems. To solve this issue, this paper introduces the concept of semantic interoperability, and proposes a three-tier model of semantic interoperability between heterogeneous clinical information systems. Finally, through the examples of the data exchange between ophthalmology information system and other heterogeneous systems, it validates the semantic interoperability model, which partially solves the problem of semantic heterogeneity between systems and provides new methods and ideas for the integration of heterogeneous clinical information systems.

Abstract:The archives management and transmission of medical images which are the key technologies of PACS are studied.Based on the DICOM standard,a three-tier medical image database system is builded.The system realized effective query,on-line display and long-range transmission of medical images with FTP transport protocols.The research work offered a technical support for telemedicine and had certain value on the constructing of modern digital hospital.

Abstract:This information intercourse system (IICS) is designed for the news intercourse among TV stations and modernization of network and information management in the TV station. Firewall and double-server structure are used in hardware; in software, tech- nologies such as WEB, MIS and database synchronization are adopted. The whole system is completed with the help of the guideline of software engineering. A design for the system is introduced in detail, stating some key technologies using in system realization, and also having a study on some main problems in system realization.

Although several integration standards had been proposed to meet this challenge, none of them is fit for hospitals in China. Abstract:With the pace of China's New Medical Reform, medical information systems have been rapidly developing, thus generating tremendous clinical data that contain large amount of information. Clinical data exchange is one of the most important foundations to make full use of clinical data. Under the whole background of Global Dolphin (an international data exchange system between China and Japan), this paper demonstrates a method of achieving standardized clinical data exchange based on Ensemble Integration Platform and using Health Level Seven International (HL7) as the data exchange standard. HL7 helps to standardize the data exchange process; Ensemble Platform contributes to the loose coupling of medical information systems and constructing a unified data management layer in logic, ultimately achieving the goal of sharing clinical data between a data center and medical institutions. ? Abstract:Nowadays, more and more medical devices and systems store pictures and video files in DICOM and MPEG2 format. A mulitiform medical image viewer based on ActiveX technique is introduced in this article. It not only realizes parsing and viewing of multiform at medical images, which include DICOM, MPEG2 etc, but also can be embedded in other kinds of medical image diagnosis and analysis software to customize and develop medical image system with high efficiency and fiexibility.

Abstract:The digital imaging and communication in medicine(DICOM) is the widely-used standard in medical image exchange and image processing.Reading and displaying the DICOM format images are the basic operation of medical image processing software and applications.The main task is to build a DICOM image processing interface based on MFC,ITK and VTK libraries.The software is capable of reading,managing,displaying,segmenting and saving DICOM images,which can serve as a framework for others to test their image processing algorithms and methods.The software can recursively find all DICOM files,separate series,sort images according to real position,display the image,and perform segmentation process.Moreover,this interface provides extended functions,therefore they can serve as framework for the students to test image processing algorithms and build software with stronger functions.

Abstract:A remote medical image reading and diagnosis system based on cloud services is designed and implemented in this paper, using the WEB browser and DICOM WEB server with Web Access to DICOM Persistent Objects for data exchange. Infrastructure, platform, and software are provided as services through Internet, which is the main concept of cloud services. Based on cloud services, the system is capable of providing services of remote medical image reading and diagnosis via Internet. Depending on different requests sent by the browser, the server processes the image accordingly with powerful image processing ability, then the results are sent back to the browser page for display without having to install plug-ins. The system has good scalability. Medical image reading and diagnosis tools can be developed to meet the needs of professional medical diagnosis for doctors. In the future, cloud services of traditional PACS can be provided after the system grow mature and develop patient register module, diagnostic report module, etc.

Abstract:Image acquisition plays an important role in PACS. In this paper, we compare some currently used methods of image acquisition, and select the acquisition method through DICOM interface in network environment. After describing the concepts of DICOM network and the DICOM message exchange, we summarize the key technique for DICOM image acquisition.Our software is introduced as one solution for image acquisition from digital medical imaging systems. The software is written in Windows Socket API and provides such services as verification, storage, query and retrieve defined by DICOM standard, and acts as the acquisition server for images sent from imaging equipment. Up to now, our software works well with different equipment under different conditions.

Abstract:When using the tomographic image data from the CT or MR devices to reconstruct three-dimensional virtual object,we meet a special format of DICOM medical image data,a standard produced from those devices.This paper is to analyze the structure of DCIOM file,and combine recent technique to complete the important functions,including decoding and displaying the DICOM file,and converting the DICOM format into BMP format.All the practices are based on VC++6.0 platform.Through creating a core class in the workplace to process the DICOM data,we successfully realized the two functions above.This paper also describes the structure of the software developed by ourselves and some important function.
