Abstract:Recently, the popularity of agent-base systems has increased rapidly because agents bring intelligence, reasoning and autonomy to software systems. As a result, researching on agent-oriented system analysis is paid much attention to. According to the characteristic of agent-based system, an UML-based agent-oriented system analysis approach is introduced by applying UML and object-oriented technology. It would also show the detail of analysis process and the representation of the model by giving an instance and extending to UML.

Then through establishing the associations for any two classes creates the class diagram model of the Banking Loans System. Abstract:The fast development of domestic auto part trade has put some new requirements on the sales and marketing management. Manyearly-developed management systems basedon the traditional technology are not sufficientto satisfy these new requirements. UML, as an expressive and powerful standard object-oriented modeling language, has been widely used in management information system. After analyzing the modeling functionalities of UML, an auto-parts-trade sales management system is proposed and implemented using UML as the modeling tool. This system has been deployed in some auto-part sales enterprises. The practice shows that it has greatly im- proved the sales management quality of the users.

Abstract:This paper describes a UML-based notation for OWL DL.It proposes a UML profile for OWL DL,which can be used to model the elements and relationships,such as class and relation.The experiment shows,given the profile,it uses any UML tools to develop ontology,which reduces the complexity of large-scale ontology construction and maintenance.

Abstract:The Unified Modelling Language is emerging as a de-facto standard for modelling object-oriented systems. However, the semantics document that a part of the standard definition primarily provides a description of the language's syntax and well-formedness rules. The meaning of the language, which is mainly described in English, is too informal and unstructured to provide a foundation for developing formal analysis and development techniques. This paper outlines a formalisation strategy for making precise the core semantics of UML. This is achieved by strengthening the denotational semantics of the existing UML metamodel. To illustrate the approach, the semantics of generalization/specialization are made precise.

Abstract:As there are some difficulties in defining XML Schema according to business model directly, this paper presents a method to apply UML to XML Schema modeling. This method defines three levels of model by domain modeling. These three levels are conceptual level, logical level and physical level. They correspond to the analysis, design, and implementation of the business model individually. And this paper discusses the mapping method between models of different levels effectively.

Abstract:This paper is towards the development of a methodology for object-oriented software development. The intention is to support effective use of a formal model for specifying and reasoning during the requirements analysis and design of a software development process. The overall purpose is to enhance the application of the Unified Modelling Language (UML) with a formal semantics in the Rational Unified Software Development Process (RUP). The semantic framework defines the meaning of some UML submodels. It identifies both the static and dynamic relationships among these submodels. Thus, the focus of this paper is the development of a semantic model to consistently combine a use-case model and a conceptual class diagram to form a system specification.

Abstract:In this document, we introduce a system model as a semantic domain for the Unified Modeling Language (UML) [OMG07a, OMG07b]. The system model is supposed to form a possible core and foundation of the UML semantics definition. For that purpose, the definitions in this document are targeted towards UML which means that central concepts of UML have been formalized as theories of the system model. This document is structured as follows: In the rest of Chapter 1, we discuss the general approach and highlight the main decisions. This chapter is important to understand the rest of this document. Chapter 2 contains the definition of the structural part of the system model. Chapters 3 and 4 contain the control and communication related definition definitions which form the basis to describe the state of a system in Chapter 5. Two variants of state transitions systems are introduced to define object behavior in Chapters 6 (event-based) and 7 (timed). Chapter 8 concludes the document. This document is the second version of the system model which is the result of a major effort to define the structure, behavior and interaction of object oriented, possibly distributed systems abstract enough to be of general value, but also in sufficient detail for a semantic foundation of the UML. The first version of the system model can be found in [BCR06, BCR07a, BCR07b].

Abstract:UML has been widely used for modeling, and models are becoming increasingly important in the software development process. As a consequence, the number of models being used is increasing. Comprehending and reusing models face a real challenge. So, it is necessary to get efficient methods to query models. In this paper, we propose an UML model query method which is based on structure pattern matching. This paper will show how to extract the structure information of UML model from the textual model file. Then, a model query language and the matching algorithm will be detailed described. After that a case study is presented, which proves the effectiveness of our query method. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2013.

Abstract:Unification model language(UML),which integrates the new method and new technology in software engineering field,has already been considered as one kind of aspect-oriented modeling language standards.In this paper,the method that Java 2 Enterprise Edition(J2EE)integrates with UML and how to depict the modeling by this method is explained.Also,the common process and method of modeling with UML for complex system is discussed.The developers can not only optimize the intermediate layer(i.e.Business Logic Layer)design by employing these models,but availably achieves software reorganization and reuse.According to the idea of object-oriented analysis and design(OOAD)and UML modeling method,the new rural cooperatives medical service information system can be implemented with Java based on the three layers.

Abstract:The sequence diagram can be used to design object-oriented software; however, its modeling principles are lack of research. In this paper, its application in software design was studied, and its inherent linkage with object-oriented programming was discussed, and the interactive mechanism among its elements was explored. The modeling principles for it were proposed; and its application in Model Driven Architecture (MDA) software paradigm was analyzed; and finally the model represented with it, especially the transformation and traceability of models in MDA software paradigm were analyzed. This research is useful to optimize software modeling and to automate model transformation in MDA software paradigm.

Abstract:Because of characteristics of distribution and collaboration of services,it is necessary to collaborate between different service contract library systems.However,most service contract library systems follow their own standards for the service contacts and the classifying of service contracts,etc.In order to solve the problems,this paper presents a meta-model for modeling distributed service contract library systems.The paper first describes a function model followed by most service contract library systems,and then presents the meta-model from views of the structure of service contract library systems and the connectivity of service contract library systems based on the function model.The meta-model is extended in UML,and a UML profile is formed.Further,The paper describes the Jade-Bird distributed service contract library model that is modeled with the profile.

Abstract:Different views of software architecture in UML diagrams are presented. It shows how UML can be used to model different aspects of software architecture. The semantics of UML diagrams are expressed in the notation of Communication Sequential Process(CSP). Different view models of software architectures are linked together based on the CSP semantics. The issue of refining such architectural specifications is also discussed, where software architectures can be refined in a manner that preserves desired system properties.
