Abstract:This paper presents the discrete design method of shoe last in shoe last CAD system. The surface data of shoe last are obtained by coordinate measuring machine. After the data are pre-processed and parameterized, section curves in two directions are constructed. Then we get the discrete model of shoe last. This model can be used in downstream processes, such as NC programs generating, shoe styling and shoe soling etc.
