Learn more.Copy URL Share a linkShare onFacebookTwitterLinked InRedditWechat Abstract Dispersible Mn3O4, CoO, and CuOx nanocrystals were synthesized via thermolysis of simple, generic molecular precursors (metal formates) in hot surfactant (oleylamine/oleic acid) solutions, which showed two-dimensional ordering on copper grids. The metal valence states in the final products were found to depend upon complex redox behavior during the synthesis. 11–24 nm CoO nanocrystals (such as those displayed in the TEM image) were shown to display interesting magnetic properties.
