Abstract:China is the second largest country in energy consumption. More and more energy demand pressures cause the Chinese government to review its economy and energy policies in order to support the sustainable development. In China, the building sector amounts to 27.8% total energy consumption, which is only behind the industry sector. China has abundant solar energy resource, which is extensively applied to buildings. Therefore, solar energy utilization in buildings has become one of the most important issues to help China optimize the energy proportion, increasing energy efficiency and protecting the environment. Solar energy resource and its district distribution in China are introduced in detail in this paper, and the representative solar energy application to the building sector is highlighted as well. The solar energy utilization obstacles, especially policy disadvantages in building sector in China, are reviewed. Moreover, the application prospects of solar energy in building sector are presented in combination with the China economic and household industry growth.

Abstract:The integration of solar PV(photovoltaic) steel structure system means that the solar PV technology is applied in the steel structure building in order to build the green energy-efficient building structures.This paper first presents the definition of a PV steel structure integration system and the classification of applying the integration system,thus summarizing all kinds of applying forms' characteristics and advantages.Afterward the paper summarizes the connection integrating technology,the design technology and construction technology of the PV steel structure integration system.At last the paper gives a brief introduction to a grid structure model's installation and connection,on which the new solar PV modules are installed.

Abstract:According to wind characteristics in the built environment,the possibility of wind energy utilization was represented,and then the main way of wind energy utilization were introduced which includes natural aeration and exhaust,and electricity generation by wind power.The research status and application examples of wind energy utilization in the built environment were summarized systematically,from four aspects such as simulation of wind in the built environment,performances of wind energy augmented in the built environment,suitable wind turbines designs and the benefit evaluation of wind power in the built environment,also their shortages were analyzed simply.On this basis,some pending problems are proposed,which can be a reference to the promotion and application of wind energy utilization technology in the built environment.

Abstract:Solar energy as a kind of clean energy source has widely been applied to water treatment fields.The application and research progress of solar energy techniques to the heat preservation of effluent and sludge,photocatalytic oxidation of effluent,concentration and drying of sludge,surface water remediation,etc.are expounded. The advantages and disadvantages of applying solar energy techniques to water treatment fields are analyzed briefly.The research emphasis in the future and development direction are clarified.It is strongly believed that with the development of solar energy techniques,it's application to water treatment fields will have further promising development.

Abstract:Abstract At present, fossil energy consumption still occupies a dominant position in China’s energy consumption structure, and problems such as low energy consumption efficiency, high degree of carbonization and large environmental pollution persist for a long time. Under the background of advocating environmental protection and energy saving, the combination of solar energy and building is the inevitable trend of building energy saving development, and the integrated design of solar energy and building has become a concern of the architectural circles. With the deepening of people’s understanding of environmental problems and the further deterioration of energy problems, more and more buildings begin to use clean and energy-saving solar energy devices. At present, the construction and development of urban residential buildings in China are mainly multi-storey and high-rise buildings. Therefore, higher requirements are put forward for the application form and scale of solar water heating system in residential buildings. In this paper, according to the current situation of solar energy utilization in buildings in China, based on PLC (programmable logic controller), the paper puts forward some suggestions to promote the integrated design of solar energy buildings.

Abstract:Solar energy is receiving much more attentions in building energy systems in recent years. Solar thermal utilization should be based on the integration of solar collectors into buildings. The facades of buildings can be important solar collectors, and therefore become multifunctional. In addition, solar collectors can be used to enhance the appearance of the façade when considering aesthetic compatibility. Currently, the feasible approach for integration of solar collectors into buildings is to install collectors on the south tilted roofs, south walls, balconies or awnings. Experiences on solar thermal utilization were mainly introduced in this paper, which included solar hot water systems with different design methods in residential buildings and solar-powered integrated energy systems in public buildings. Then the suggestions were given. In the cities of China, an ideal opportunity to carry out solar renovation with roof-integrated collectors is in combination with the rebuilding of apartment roofs from flat to be inclined. With regard to multi-storied residential buildings, central hot water supply system and central-individual hot water supply system are more appropriate in view of aesthetic compatibility of solar collectors with building roof and convenience of management. As for public buildings, it is highly recommended to design solar-powered integrated energy systems for the purpose of high solar fraction.

Abstract:Using conventional fossil fuels causes both energy crisis and environmental pollution. Renewable energy with the merits of almost unlimited availability and environmental-friendliness provides a perfect solution to the problem. Solar energy is widely recognized as one of the most important renewable energy resources due to its even distribution, safety and serving as sources for others. In past decades, global solar thermal capacity increases rapidly and now it has been widely used worldwide to provide heating and cooling. To understand the current progress of relevant technologies and the future development, this paper briefly summarizes the current situation of solar heating and cooling, and then some new achievements in related areas and potential future market penetration are discussed. It is found that solar hot water heating system's development is in fast lane in recent years with evacuated tube solar collector dominating the mass market. How to integrate solar collecting system with different types of buildings is the main research and development direction for solar building heating system. Large-scale district water heating system and solar PVT system as the most promising solutions attract extensive attentions. For solar cooling, efforts have been made to improve the efficiency of conventional solar thermal cooling methods in terms of adsorption and absorption technology. In addition to technical development, economic analysis of solar heating and cooling system is also discussed. Return of investment period is widely adopted to evaluate the economic performance. Results reveal that low initial cost and advantageous allowance are the most efficient ways to make solar heating and cooling system economically attractive. This paper is presented and recommended by 5th International Conference on Nuclear and Renewable Energy Resources.

In addition, solar collectors can be used to enhance the appearance of the facade when considering their aesthetic compatibility. Currently, installation of collectors on the south tilted roofs, south walls, balconies or awnings of buildings are the feasible approaches for integration of solar collectors into buildings. The most well known solar energy demonstration projects in China are introduced in this paper, which cover different integrated approaches, and solar heating and cooling systems. In China's cities, the process of rebuilding apartment roofs from flat to inclined offers the ideal opportunity to carry out solar renovation in combination with roof-integrated collectors. It can be seen from the demonstration projects over the last twenty years, that, solar cooling systems were mainly used in public buildings for either absorption or adsorption. Besides, nearly all solar cooling systems are multifunctional. They have been used to supply heating and hot water in other seasons for the purpose of high solar fraction. In the 11th Five-year research project (duration 2006–2010), the government has encouraged solar energy researchers to study, develop, and break through the key technologies involved in the integration of solar thermal technologies with buildings.

Abstract:The application of passive solar technologies has an active effect on the heating issues for residential buildings.Through the introduction of two design projects,this article explores how to realize the design strategy which is based on the passive design and combines passive measures and feasible equipments,by applying the related passive solar heating technologies to both low-rise and high-rise residential buildings.This design strategy can provide the possibility to satisfy the requirement of low cost and high efflciency for solar buildings.

Abstract:Abstract As one of the renewable green energy sources, solar energy has great advantages in energy conservation and environmental protection. With the deepening of the research on solar heating technology, more issues have been discussed. This paper summarizes the research status of solar heating technology from two aspects of solar energy heat collection and heating implementation. Firstly, heat collection technology is still the key to solar energy heat utilization, which focuses on the numerical simulation of heat collector and the influence of heat collection structure on heat collection capacity. Secondly, thermodynamic analysis of heat transfer enhancement of ventilation gap and air flow in passive solar heating system is a hot topic; some scholars even put forward new heat transfer theoretical models and improved equations. Whereas in the active solar heating system, due to the imbalance and instability of solar energy, most of the research focuses on the construction of multiple complementary heating system and the corresponding optimal operation mechanism as well as the study of solar energy heat storage materials, devices and their heat storage performance. Thirdly, in view of the actual building environment in rural areas of northern China, it is proposed that using distributed solar energy collection method combined with heat storage technology and using green energy internet to distribute heat energy is the research trend of maximizing the application of solar heating in the region.
