Abstract:This paper presents a novel direct elementary proof for Fermat's Last Theorem. We use algebra, modular math, and binomial series to develop inherent mathematical relationships hidden within Fermat's Last Theorem. With these derived relationships, we are able to develop general pattern applicable for all positive integers of n. Finally, we are able to confirm and complete the direct proof for Fermat's Diophantine equation for all n.

Abstract:In a previous paper (https://dx.doi.org/10.2139/ssrn.3648127 ), an elementary and thoroughly arithmetical proof of Fermat’s last theorem by induction has been demonstrated if the case for “n = 3” is granted as proved only arithmetically (which is a fact a long time ago), furthermore in a way accessible to Fermat himself though without being absolutely and precisely correct. The present paper elucidates the contemporary mathematical background, from which an inductive proof of FLT can be inferred since its proof for the case for “n = 3” has been known for a long time. It needs “Hilbert mathematics”, which is inherently complete unlike the usual “Gödel mathematics”, and based on “Hilbert arithmetic” to generalize Peano arithmetic in a way to unify it with the qubit Hilbert space of quantum information. An “epoché to infinity” (similar to Husserl’s “epoché to reality”) is necessary to map Hilbert arithmetic into Peano arithmetic in order to be relevant to Fermat’s age. Furthermore, the two linked semigroups originating from addition and multiplication and from the Peano axioms in the final analysis can be postulated algebraically as independent of each other in a “Hamilton” modification of arithmetic supposedly equivalent to Peano arithmetic. The inductive proof of FLT can be deduced absolutely precisely in that Hamilton arithmetic and the pransfered as a corollary in the standard Peano arithmetic furthermore in a way accessible in Fermat’s epoch and thus, to himself in principle. A future, second part of the paper is outlined, getting directed to an eventual proof of the case “n=3” based on the qubit Hilbert space and the Kochen-Specker theorem inferable from it.

Abstract:This work contains two papers: the first published in 2022 and entitled "On the nature of some Euler's double equations equivalent to Fermat's last theorem" provides a marvellous proof through the so-called discordant forms of appropriate Euler's double equations, which could have entered in a not very narrow margin and the second instead published in 2024 and entitled "Some Diophantus-Fermat double equations equivalent to Frey's elliptic curve" provides the possible proof, which Fermat has not published in detail, but which uses the characteristic of all right-angled triangles with sides equal to whole numbers, or the famous Pythagorean identity. Some explanations in session(III) are provided: the first makes evident the nature of the "proof a' la Fermat" and the subsequent sessions clarify the direct and interesting connection of the two elementary proofs and it is necessary if you want to understand how two different elementary proofs of Fermat's Last Theorem are possible. It must be observed that those proofs must in no way be interpreted as a sort of absurd revenge of elementary number theory over more modern analytic and algebraic treatments.The author himself has added a section in which he connects his concepts with some of those used by Wiles in his complex demonstration.This implies that, to a certain extent, Wiles' demonstration inspired the author of those works. Ultimately in this paper we will illustrate how only thanks to some of Euler's discoveries was it possible to shed light on the so-called too narrow margin never written by Fermat. For this reason we will also provide some details on an article that was the real inspiration for achieving these results (see Last Conclusions).

Abstract:Fermat's Last Theorem is proved by using the philosophical and mathematical knowledge of 1637 when the French mathematician Pierre de Fermat claimed to have a truly marvelous proof of his conjecture. Our approach consists of setting three variables of Fermat's equation as integers and then evaluating whether the remaining variable can be an integer as well. Pythagorean triples play a fundamental role in claiming that at least an irrational number is needed to satisfy Fermat's equation. As a result, we confirm that Fermat's Last Theorem is valid.

Abstract:This paper is submitted to Algebraic-Number-Theory Archives for validation by Number Theorists Community. It is an update of the previous versions ANT-0155, ANT-0170, ANT-0205, ANT-0237, ANT-0321, ANT-0333, and ANT-0356, of which the first four were titled `A generalization of Eichler criterium for Fermat's Last Theorem' and the last three were titled `A classical approach on Fermat-Wiles theorem'. This version contains a complete reorganization of the paper with a first part dealing with cyclotomic fields (independently of FLT) from page 10 to 72 and a second part dealing with FLT from page 73 to end. This version improves our previous results on cyclotomic fields and contains several significant error corrections. The proofs rest on classical theory of cyclotomic number fields $\Q(zeta_p)$.

Abstract:We formalise the proof of the first case of Fermat's Last Theorem for regular primes using the \emph{Lean} theorem prover and its mathematical library \emph{mathlib}. This is an important 19th century result that motivated the development of modern algebraic number theory. Besides explaining the mathematics behind this result, we analyze in this paper the difficulties we faced in the formalisation process and how we solved them. For example, we had to deal with a diamond about characteristic zero fields and problems arising from multiple nested coercions related to number fields. We also explain how we integrated our work to \emph{mathlib}.

Abstract: In this paper, we consider some hybrid Diophantine equations of addition and multiplication. We first improve a result on new Hilbert-Waring problem. Then we consider the equation \begin{equation} \begin{cases} A+B=C ABC=D^n \end{cases} \end{equation} where $A,B,C,D,n \in\ZZ_{+}$ and $n\geq3$, which may be regarded as a generalization of Fermat's equation $x^n+y^n=z^n$. When $\gcd(A,B,C)=1$, $(1)$ is equivalent to Fermat's equation, which means it has no positive integer solutions. We discuss several cases for $\gcd(A,B,C)=p^k$ where $p$ is an odd prime. In particular, for $k=1$ we prove that $(1)$ has no nonzero integer solutions when $n=3$ and we conjecture that it is also true for any prime $n>3$. Finally, we consider equation $(1)$ in quadratic fields $\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{t})$ for $n=3$.

Abstract:Let {F(n)} be the Fibonacci sequence defined by F0 = 0, F1 = 1, F(n) + 1 = F(n) + F(n-1) (n greater-than-or-equal-to 1). It is well known that F(p-)(5/p) = 0 (mod p) for any odd prime p, where (-) denotes the Legendre symbol. In 1960 D.D. Wall [13] asked whether p2/F(p-)(5/p) is always impossible; up to now this is still open. In this paper the sum [GRAPHICS] is expressed in terms of Fibonacci numbers. As applications we obtain a new formula for the Fibonacci quotient F(p-)(5/p)/p and a criterion for the relation p/F(p-1)/4 (if p = 1 (mod 4)), where p not-equal 5 is an odd prime. We also prove that the affirmative answer to Wall's question implies the first case of FLT (Fermat's last theorem); from this it follows that the first case of FLT holds for those exponents which are (odd) Fibonacci primes or Lucas primes.

Abstract:This research focuses on the Numerical approach for Fermat's Last theorem. We can induce an Alternative form of Fermat's last theorem by using particular geometric mapping $\mathcal{M}$ on a Cartesian plane to a Torus. It transforms the Fermat's Last Theorem to finding a rational cross point between two parametric curves on the torus. In the end, this research shows the movement of the point, on the line $x^n+y^n=1$, has an acceleration phase transition near ($x,n$)=(0,2). Moreover, the studies about the relationship between this acceleration transition and the solution for the Fermat's Diophantine equation in the case of $n>$2, need further investigation.

Abstract:The divisibility restrictions in the famous equation a n+bn=cn in Fermat Last Theorem (FLT, 1637) is analyzed how it selects out many triples to be Fermat triple (i.e. solutions) if n greater than 2, decreasing the cardinality of Fermat triples. In our analysis, the restriction on positive integer (PI) solutions ((a,b,c,n) up to the point when there is no more) is not along with restriction on power n in PI as decreasing sets {PI } containing {odd} containing {primes} containing {regular primes}, etc. as in the literature, but with respect to exclusion of more and more c in PI as increasing sets {primes p} in {p k} in {PI}. The divisibility and co-prime property in Fermat equation is analyzed in relation to exclusion of solutions, and the effect of simultaneous values of gcd(a,b,c), gcd(a+b,cn), gcd(c-a,bn) and gcd(c-b,an) on the decrease of cardinality of solutions is exhibited. Again, our derivation focuses mainly on the variable c rather than on variable n, oppositely to the literature in which the FLT is historically separated via the values of power n. Among the most famous are the known, about 2500 years old, existing Pythagorean triples (a,b,c,n=2) and the first milestones as the proved cases (of non-existence as n=3 by Gauss and later by Euler (1753) and n=4 by Fermat) less than 400 years ago. As it is known, Wiles has proved the FLT in 1995 in an abstract roundabout way. The n<0, n:=1/m, as well as complex and quaternion (a,b,c) cases focusing on Pythagoreans are commented. Odd powers FLT over quaternions breaks.
