Abstract:We study a nonlinear periodic problem driven by the p(t)-Laplacian and having a nonsmooth potential (hemivariational inequalities). Using a variational method based on nonsmooth critical point theory for locally Lipschitz functions, we first prove the existence of at least two nontrivial solutions under the generalized subquadratic and then establish the existence of at least one nontrivial solution under the generalized superquadratic.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the variational principle and the existence of periodic solutions for a new class of second-order ordinary p-Laplacian systems. The variational principle is given by making use of two methods. We obtain three existence theorems of periodic solutions to this problem on various sufficient conditions on the potential function F(t,x) or nonlinearity ∇F(t,x). Four examples are presented to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of our results.

Abstract:In this paper we will solve an open problem raised by Manásevich and Mawhin twenty years ago on the structure of the periodic eigenvalues of the vectorial $p$-Laplacian. This is an Euler-Lagrangian equation on the plane or in higher dimensional Euclidean spaces. The main result obtained is that for any exponent $p$ other than $2$, the vectorial $p$-Laplacian on the plane will admit infinitely many different sequences of periodic eigenvalues with a given period. These sequences of eigenvalues are constructed using the notion of scaling momenta we will introduce. The whole proof is based on the complete integrability of the equivalent Hamiltonian system, the tricky reduction to $2$-dimensional dynamical systems, and a number-theoretical distinguishing between different sequences of eigenvalues. Some numerical simulations to the new sequences of eigenvalues and eigenfunctions will be given. Several further conjectures towards to the panorama of the spectral sets will be imposed.

Abstract:This article studies the Cauchy problem for the evolution p-Laplacian equation ut−Δpu=λum+μ|∇u|qur in RN×(0,T). The local existence, global existence and nonexistence of solutions are investigated. In particular, for the case λ>0 and μ>0, we obtain an optimal Fujita-type result, which demonstrates the positive gradient term brings about the discontinuity phenomenon of the critical exponent. For the case λ>0 and μ<0, the existence and nonexistence of global solutions are also discussed.

Abstract:In this paper, we apply various methods to establish the uniqueness of solutions to some classes of anisotropic and isotropic curvature problems. Firstly, by employing integral formulas derived by S. S. Chern [20], we obtain the uniqueness of smooth admissible solutions to a class of Orlicz-(Christoffel)-Minkowski problems. Secondly, inspired by Simon's uniqueness result [61], we then prove that the only smooth strictly convex solution to the following isotropic curvature problem (P-k(W)/P-l(W)(1/k-l) = psi(u, r) on S-n (0.1) must be an origin-centred sphere, where W = (del(2)u + ug(0)), partial derivative(1) psi >= 0, partial derivative(2)psi >= 0and at least one of these inequalities is strict. As an application, we establish the uniqueness of solutions to the isotropic Gaussian-Minkowski problem. Finally, we derive the uniqueness result for the following isotropic L-p dual Minkowski problem u(1-p)r(q-n-1) det(W) = 1 on S-n, (0.2) where - n - 1 < p <= -1 and n + 1 <= q <= n + 1/2 + root 1/4 - (1+p)(n+1+p)/n(n+2). Abstract:Abstract The aim of this article is to study nonlinear problem driven by the p ( t ) p\left(t) -Laplacian with nonsmooth potential. We establish the existence of homoclinic solutions by using variational principle for locally Lipschitz functions and the properties of the generalized Lebesgue-Sobolev space under two cases of the nonsmooth potential: periodic and nonperiodic, respectively. The resulting problem engages two major difficulties: first, due to the appearance of the variable exponent, commonly known methods and techniques for studying constant exponent equations fail in the setting of problems involving variable exponents. Another difficulty we must overcome is verifying the link geometry and certifying boundedness of the Palais-Smale sequence. To our best knowledge, our theorems appear to be the first such result about homoclinic solution for differential inclusion system involving the p ( t ) p\left(t) -Laplacian.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the existence and multiplicity of normalized solutions for the following $p$-Laplacian critical equation \begin{align*} \left\{\begin{array}{ll} -\Delta_{p}u=\lambda\lvert u\rvert^{p-2}u+\mu\lvert u\rvert^{q-2}u+\lvert u\rvert^{p^*-1}u&\mbox{in}\ \mathbb{R}^N, \int_{\mathbb{R}^N}\lvert u\rvert^pdx=a^p, \end{array}\right. \end{align*} where $1<p<N$, $2<q<p^*=\frac{Np}{N-p}$, $a>0$, $\mu\in\mathbb{R}$ and $\lambda\in\mathbb{R}$ is a Lagrange multiplier. Using concentration compactness lemma, Schwarz rearrangement, Ekeland variational principle and mini-max theorems, we obtain several existence results under $\mu>0$ and other assumptions. We also analyze the asymptotic behavior of there solutions as $\mu\rightarrow 0$ and $\mu$ goes to its upper bound. Moreover, we show the nonexistence result for $\mu<0$ and get that the $p$-Laplacian equation has infinitely solutions by genus theory when $p<q<p+\frac{p^2}{N}$.
