Abstract:In order to meet the requirements of dynamic stability analysis in dispatcher training simulator (DTS), this paper proposes a series of methods to improve the dynamic stability program in DTS, such as: (Circled digit one) local topology analysis; (Circled digit two) forming three sequence networks and calculating three sequence components in a selective way; (Circled digit three) using sparse vector technology; (Circled digit four) adding admittance diagonal elements with admittance of generators which are irrelative with status variables to speed up iteration; (Dingbat circled sans-serif digit five) presenting the conception of protective window to reduce time spent for protective information calculation; (Dingbat circled sans-serif digit six) calculating dynamic result in a selective way; (Dingbat circled sans-serif digit seven) simulating relay protection taking account of fault type. Meanwhile, for the characteristics of DTS aiming at district network, this paper presents a new dynamic simulation procedure: operation on fault - relay operation - operation on fault. The simulation result for a practical case illustrates the validity of the method and verifies that the demand of real-time simulation is satisfied.
