Abstract:Traditional dispatcher training simulator (DTS) is usually developed and applied to transmission system. A new DTS applied for sub-transmission power network is designed and developed. It has some characteristic functions and new algorithms, such as, the distribution network can be simulated in detail, a novel frequency model is adopted for sub-transmission network, improved relay model and fault model are used for radial neutral non-grounding sub-transmission network, training for avoiding natural resonance by regulating the tap of arc-extinction coil can be done, an expert system is developed for checking operating rules. The new DTS has been applied to several sub-transmission control centers in China.
