Abstract:ZnO quantum dots and CuFe2O4 nanoparticles were synthesized by chemical precipitation. The ZCF composite was created by the solvothermal method. A new molecularly imprinted fluorescence sensor (ZCF@MB-MIP) with unique optical properties and specific MB recognition was successfully generated. ZCF@MB-MIPs were characterized by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray diffraction and were applied for the selective detection of methylene blue (MB). The optimal working time of ZCF@MB-MIPs was 15 min, and the optimal working concentration was 37 mg.L-1. The fluorescence intensity was linearly quenched within the 0-100 mu mol.L-1 MB range, and the detection limit was 1.27 mu mol.L-1. The imprinting factor of the sensor (IF, KMB-MIPs/N-MIPs) was 5.30. At the same time, a real-time monitoring system was established for the photodegradation process of MB, which had the effect of reflecting the degradation degree of MB at any given time. Hence, ZCF@MB-MIPs are a promising candidate for use in MB monitoring, and they also provides a new strategy for constructing a multifunctional fluorescence sensor with a high selectivity and photolysis function.
Synthesis and evaluation of a molecularly imprinted polymer with high-efficiency recognition for dibutyl phthalate based on Mn-doped ZnS quantum dots

Abstract:In this study, molecularly imprinted polymers with Mn-doped ZnS quantum dots (ZnS:Mn QDs) were prepared using dibutyl phthalate (DBP) as the template molecule, 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) as the functional monomer and the tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) as the cross-linker. ZnS:Mn QDs offer a readout signal to monitor the amount of DBP bound to the imprinted matrix and to evaluate the efficiency of imprinting. The products MIPs-ZnS:Mn QDs were characterized by transmission electron microscope, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and fluorescence spectroscopy. In addition, optical stability and the effect of pH on fluorescence intensity were evaluated. The obtained polymers can sensitively and selectively recognize template molecules in real samples via fluorescence intensity. The fluorescence intensity decreases linearly with increasing concentration in the range of 5.0-50 mu mol L-1. It reaches a detection limit of 0.27 mu mol L-1. The average recovery rate of DBP at three spiking levels is more than 98.1%.
Surface Molecular Imprinting on Hybrid SiO2-coated CdTe Nanocrystals for Selective Optosensing of Bisphenol A and Its Optimal Design

Abstract:Twenty molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of molecular imprinting prepolymerization systems had been performed to optimize the imprinting shell of the fluorescent sensor. The results revealed that the system with a Bisphenol A (BPA): 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES): tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) mole ratio of 10:15:60 had the most stable template (T)-functional monomer (FM) cluster. Correspondingly, five kinds of imprinted and non-imprinted polymers were synthesized to assess the reliability and validity of the simulation results. Hybrid SiO2-coated CdTe NCs (HS-QD) were synthesized by a simple reflux procedure including a sol-gel reaction that resulted in the formation of a hybrid SiO2 layer with CdS-like clusters on a CdTe core. Based on the optimal component ratio of the prepolymerization system, MIP shells were anchored on the surface of HS-QD to build a fluorescent MIP sensor. A linear relationship between relative fluorescence intensity and the concentration of BPA had been obtained covering the concentration range of 0.05-10 mu mol L-1 with a limit of detection of 6 nmol L-1. The feasibility of the fluorescent sensor was successfully evaluated through the analysis of BPA in river water and milk. The recoveries are above 96.31%, and the relative standard deviation (RSD) ranged from 1.55% to 2.78%. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Abstract:As one of the fashionable ways for molecular recognition site display, molecular imprinting technology has attracted increasing attention as a means to design complementary parts of target molecules. Herein, a novel molecularly imprinted photoelectrochemical (PEC) sensor is designed for bisphenol A (BPA) analysis based on In2S3/Cd2+ sensitized flower-like AgBiS2. The bimetallic sulphide AgBiS2 possess a three-dimensional flower-like structure that is assembled by using nanosheets, the outstanding structure provides a favorable surface morphology for fixing other photoactive nanomaterials. Thus, photosensitizer In2S3 nanoparticles are used to sensitize AgBiS2, and an enhanced PEC response is achieved thanks to the matched band gap and the electron delivery synergy. In order to acquire a more stable and higher photocurrent, Cd2+ is dropped directly on the AgBiS2/In2S3 electrode to generate CdS in situ, the generated CdS coupled with In2S3 co-sensitize AgBiS2 and realized satisfactory PEC basic response. The molecularly imprinted membrane is prepared by electrodeposition of pyrrole solution in the presence of BPA. Under optimized detection conditions, the proposed PEC sensor displays a wide detection range between 0.0005 and 50 mu M for BPA, and with a low detection limit 0.18 nM. The skillful strategy also displays excellent stability and great reproducibility.

Abstract:This is a review of current evaluation and treatment recommendations for pediatric radial neck fractures, including a series of cases that were presented and reviewed by a panel at The Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America annual meeting 2010. We summarize the different published techniques for closed, percutaneous, and open reduction, and review when these techniques are recommended. The potential complications that can arise from radial neck fractures and their treatment are discussed.

Abstract:Nanozymes‐involving colorimetry may represent an effective solution to tetracycline detection due to its affordability and simplicity. To improve the performance in selectivity, molecular imprinting technology has emerged as a promising approach to simulating the interaction between antibodies and receptors. Herein, Mn2V2O7, a form of nanozyme with oxidase‐mimicking activity, was synthesized. With tetracycline as the template, the cavities with unique dimensions were constructed through the self‐polymerization of dopamine (DA) on Mn2V2O7. In Mn2V2O7@MIP, polydopamine (PDA) acts as molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) and its cavities are compatible with tetracycline in dimension. It also exhibits oxidase‐mimicking activity. With the introduction of tetracycline, the cavity of PDA is blocked, which leads to obvious color fading, which enables precise tetracycline detection with colorimetry. The range of linear detection is from 10 to 100 μM, and the lower limit of detection is 0.82 μM. It is anticipated that the combination between nanozymes‐involving colorimetry and molecular imprinting technology would contribute to the accurate detection of organic pollutants in the aquatic environment.

Abstract:A novel mesoporous fluorescent molecularly imprinted sensor for selective detection of bisphenol A (BPA) in food materials was fabricated via a semi-covalent imprinting method. The imprinting precursor that served as an alternative template molecule for BPA was prepared via thermally reversible isocyanate bonding, which effectively improved the imprinting efficiency for the molecularly imprinted sensor. Carbon dots (CDs) were embedded in mesoporous silica as signal recognition elements that exhibited quenching upon BPA binding. Subsequently, through the sol-gel process, the molecularly imprinted layer was coated on the CDs silica layer and provided specific recognition sites for BPA. The composite of CDs embedded in the mesoporous molecularly imprinted polymer (CDs@MIP) was characterized with scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller measurements and thermogravimetric analysis. The mechanism of carbon dots quenching and the high selectivity of CDs@MIP towards BPA were explored. The linear response range of the sensor was from 0.025 mg L-1 to 2 mg L-1 with a limit of detection of 0.016 mg L-1. The method was successfully applied for the determination of food samples and recoveries ranged from 92.5% to 101.1%. The BPA contents in actual samples were determined using high performance liquid chromatography and the proposed sensor, showing no significant difference between the two methods.

Abstract:In this paper, based on Mn doped ZnS quantum dots (QDs) and by anchoring a MIPs layer on the surface of SiO2 nanoparticles, the novel fluorescence molecularly imprinted polymers (SiO2@QDs@MIPs) were successfully synthesized by precipitation polymerization, with acrylamide (AM) as the functional monomer and ethyl glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as the cross-linker. The prepared SiO2@QDs@MIPs were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA) and fluorescence spectroscopy. The products show excellent optical properties and molecular recognition ability of molecularly imprinted polymers. It can recognize sensitively and selectively the template molecules, dibutyl phthalate (DBP). Under optimized experiment conditions, the fluorescence intensity decreases linearly with increasing concentration of DBP. in the range of 5-50 mu mol L-1, with a correlation coefficient of 0.9974. Furthermore, the SiO2@QDs@MIPs were successfully applied to analysis of tap water sample, and the average recovery rate of DBP at three spiking levels is more than 97.80%, with RSD below 3.25%. This study provides a promising strategy to fabricate fluorescent molecular imprinting polymer with highly selective recognition ability. (C) 2016 Published by Elsevier B.V.

Abstract:In this paper, Mn-doped ZnS quantum dots (QDs) capped by a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) were synthesized. The results showed a high selectivity of the MIP-capped Mn-doped ZnS QDs toward the template molecule (4-nitrophenol) by QD fluorescence quenching. The application of MIP-capped Mn-doped ZnS QDs to the chemiluminescence (CL) system was also studied using a KIO(4)-H(2)O(2) system. This application combines the good selectivity of MIP with the high sensitivity of CL. The linear range of this CL system is from 0.1 to 40 microM, and the detection limit (DL) for 4-nitrophenol in the water can reach 76 nM. The method was also used in the real water samples, and the recoveries can fall in the range of 91-96%.
Novel Molecular Organic Framework Composite Molecularly Imprinted Nanofibrous Membranes with a Bioinspired Viscid Bead Structure for Selective Recognition and Separation of Atrazine

Abstract:In this work, novel atrazine (ATZ) molecularly imprinted nanofibrous membranes (A-MNMs) with a molecular organic framework (MOF)-based viscid bead structure were developed based on a natural spider-web-inspired strategy for selective separation of ATZ. Poly(vinylidene fluoride)/poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVDF/PVA) blended nanofibrous membranes as the basal membrane were synthesized by electrospinning technology combined with a chemical cross-linking procedure. The most critical design is that MOF nanocrystals as the matrix of the viscid bead structure were assembled on the PVDF/PVA blended nanofibrous membrane surface and the specific recognition sites were efficiently constructed on the surface and pores of the MOF-based viscid bead structure by a surface imprinting strategy. Significantly, the as-synthesized MOF-based viscid bead structure has an enhanced specific surface area, which helps to form abundant specific recognition sites in A-MNMs. Therefore, the A-MNMs with a spider-web-like structure presented an enhanced rebinding capacity (37.62 mg g<sup>–1</sup>) and permselectivity (permselectivity factors β were 4.21 and 4.31) toward ATZ. Moreover, the A-MNMs display strong practicability in separation of ATZ from simulated environmental water samples. Abstract:The detection of antibiotics and pesticides are of great significance since their residues threaten the health of human beings by accumulation. However, most traditional solid chemical sensors are suffer from the limitations of low sensitivity and economic practicability because of the aggregating nature and unstable of solid sensors. Herein, a new luminescent sensor 1@PMMA (1, [(ZnL)·H2O]n (H2L = 5-(4-(pyridin-4-yl)benzamido)benzene-1,3-dioic acid); PMMA = poly(methyl methacrylate)) was successfully prepared. Notably, the polymer matrix provided the chemical protection for MOF particles. The as fabricated 1@PMMA was stable in milk, honey and egg as well as exhibited strong blue emission under ultraviolet light irradiation, which can act as luminescent probe for detecting antibiotics and pesticides. More interestingly, 1@PMMA exhibited visual, real-time and recyclable detection of antibiotics ornidazole (ODZ) and pesticides 2,6-dichloro-4-nitrobenzenamine (DCN) in real food samples. This work shows that the luminescent MOF-based mixed matrix membranes could be applied as good candidates for sensing analytes in practical application.

Abstract:A novel multifunctional silica magnetic molecularly imprinted polymer (MQDs-MIPs) nanoparticle probe was synthesized for the rapid detection of triflumuron (TFM). The fluorescence probe consists of magnetite (Fe 3 O 4 ) as a core and is wrapped with a molecularly imprinted polymer doped with Mn-doped ZnS quantum dots (QDs). Under optimal detection condition, the fluorescence quenching efficiency of MIP@Fe 3 O 4 @ZnS:Mn QDs displayed a linear relationship over the concentration range of 0–27.88 μmol/L with a correlation coefficient of 0.9947. Four structurally similar compounds were selected for selectivity testing and the nanocomposite showed good selectivity with a higher imprint factor of 2.52. This developed method has the advantages of simple preparation, fast response and low toxicity for trace TFM detection.

Abstract:Molecularly imprinted membranes (MIMs), produced by the combination of membrane separation technology (MST) and molecular imprinting technologies (MIT), can perform molecular memory and recognition functions on template molecules, and then achieve selective recognition, separation, and detection. They have been studied for over 60 years and a large amount of research has emerged, but they remain a major research focus due to their compatibility with emerging technologies. Recently, MIMs have been widely used in sensor development, chiral separation, solid phase extraction, sewage treatment, food science, biomacromolecules synthesis, drug delivery, monomer component separation from herbal compounds, and more. Furthermore, some researchers have combined MIMs with other devices to give full play to its advantages, such as GC-MS, HPLC-MS, MS, stirring bar, and even smartphone. This review aims to summarize the composition, synthesis, characterization, performance, and mass transfer mechanisms of MIMs, and to discuss their application in various fields. Finally, the current technical issues and emerging trends of MIMs use in traditional Chinese Medicine are briefly evaluated.

Abstract:A new 3D Zn‐MOF {[Zn2(BDPT)(DIMB)]}n denoted as Zn‐BDPT was synthesized by solvothermal method using bis(3,5‐dicarboxyphenyl)terephthalamide (H4BDPT) and 1,4‐di(1H‐imidazol‐1‐yl)butane (DIMB). Fluorescence recognition experiments showed that both Zn‐BDPT and its mixed‐matrix membranes could selectively and rapidly recognize 3‐NT in an aqueous environment with low limit of detection. Instant and accurate detection of 3‐nitrotyrosine (3‐NT) biomarker is an important but challenging task in clinical diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of diseases. Herein, this work reported a Zn (II)–based metal–organic framework (MOF) {[Zn2(BDPT)(DIMB)]}n, denoted as Zn‐BDPT, synthesized by solvothermal method using bis(3,5‐dicarboxyphenyl)terephthalamide (H4BDPT) and 1,4‐di(1H‐imidazol‐1‐yl)butane (DIMB). Neighboring [Zn (COO)2] clusters were connected by BDPT4− units and DIMB to form a (2,4,4)‐connected three‐dimensional (3D) architecture. X‐ray powder diffraction (PXRD) and thermogravimetric (TGA) experiments indicated that Zn‐BDPT had good purity and stability. Zn‐BDPT could selectively and rapidly recognize 3‐NT in an aqueous environment. For rapid economic detection of 3‐NT in actual samples, mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs) based on Zn‐BDPT were successfully prepared and named Zn‐BDPT@PMMA. The addition of 3‐NT under the UV lamp displayed an evident visible fluorescence quenching effect. Quantitative titration analysis of Zn‐BDPT@PMMA in real serum sample obtained the Ksv value of 1.13 × 104 M−1 and a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.17 μM. This report demonstrated that MOF‐based MMMs could be used as ideal candidate for luminescent probe in actual application.

Abstract:In this work, a photoelectrochemical (PEC) sensor based on inorganic surface molecular imprinting Nb2O5 (MI-Nb2O5) for detection of bisphenol A (BPA) had been developed. In the PEC sensor, MI-Nb2O5 material was synthesized based on an in-situ surface molecular imprinting technique. The microstructure characteristics of the as-prepared photoactive materials were systematically investigated by XRD, SEM, TEM, XPS, FTIR and UV-vis spectroscopy. The PEC detection results showed that the MI-Nb2O5 material had higher photocurrent responses and excellent selectivity for contaminant BPA under UV-light irradiation owing to the abundant special recognition sites on the surface of MI-Nb2O5. Besides, the PEC sensor exhibited a wide detection range from 0.01 nmol·L-1 to 30 nmol·L-1 with a low limit of detection (LOD) of 0.004 nmol·L-1. The interferences test showed that the sensor had a good selectivity to BPA molecules in the different interference solutions. This method combining molecular imprinting technique with photoelectrochemical detection measurement made a successful attempt to detect BPA and supplied a promising way to detect other environment pollutions rapidly and selectively in the future.
Multifunctional molecularly imprinted nanozymes with improved enrichment and specificity for organic and inorganic trace compounds

Abstract:Although nanozymes exhibit properties superior to those of natural enzymes and conventional engineered enzymes, the development of highly specific nanozymes remains a challenge. New yolk-shell Fe3O4 molecularly imprinted (MIP@void@Fe3O4) nanozymes with peroxidase-like activity were developed by modelling the substrate channels of natural enzymes through molecular imprinting techniques and interfacial affinity modifications in this study. To establish a platform technology for the adsorption and determination of inorganic and organic contaminants, lead ion (Pb2+) and diazinon (DIZ), respectively, were selected as imprinting templates, and a hollow mesoporous shell was synthesized. The as-prepared MIP@void@Fe3O4 nanozymes, characterized using TEM, HRTEM, SEM, FT-IR, TGA, VSM and XPS, not only affirmed the successful fabrication of a magnetic nanoparticle with a unique hollow core-shell structure but also facilitated an exploration of the interfacial bonding mechanisms between Fe3O4 and other shell layers. The enrichment of the MIP@void@Fe3O4 nanozymes due to imprinting was approximately 5 times higher than the local substrate concentration and contributed to the increased activity. Based on selective and competitive recognition experiments, the synthesized nanozymes could selectively recognize organic and inorganic targets with the lowest detection limits (LOD) of 6.6 × 10-9 ppm for Pb2+ and 5.13 × 10-11 M for DIZ. Therefore, the proposed biosensor is expected to be a potent tool for trace pollutant detection, which provides a rational design for more advanced and subtle methods to bridge the activity gap between natural enzymes and nanozymes.
Preparation of Molecularly Imprinted Cysteine Modified Zinc Sulfide Quantum Dots Based Sensor for Rapid Detection of Dopamine Hydrochloride

Abstract:By combining surface molecular imprinting technology with cysteine-modified ZnS quantum dots, an elegant, molecularly imprinted cysteine-modified Mn2+: ZnS QDs (MIP@ZnS QDs) based fluorescence sensor was successfully developed. The constructed fluorescence sensor is based on a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) coated on the surface cysteine-modified ZnS quantum dots and used for rapid fluorescence detection of dopamine hydrochloride. The MIP@ZnS quantum dots possess the advantages of rapid response, high sensitivity, and selectivity for the detection of dopamine hydrochloride molecules. Experimental results show that the adsorption equilibrium time of MIP@ZnS QDs for dopamine hydrochloride molecules is 12 min, and it can selectively capture and bind dopamine in the sample with an imprinting factor of 29.5. The fluorescence quenching of MIP@ZnS QDs has a good linear (R2 = 0.9936) with the concentration of dopamine hydrochloride ranged from 0.01 to 1.0 μM, and the limit of detection is 3.6 nM. In addition, The MIP@ZnS QDs demonstrate good recyclability and stability and are successfully employed for detection of dopamine hydrochloride in urine samples with recoveries was 95.2% to 103.8%. The proposed MIP@ZnS QDs based fluorescent sensor provides a promising approach for food safety detection and drug analysis.

Abstract:To develop the semiconductor of ZnO nanomaterials as the fluorescence sensor without leakage toxicity. Here, a molecularly imprinted polymer captivity ZnO nanorods (NRs) (MIPs-captivity ZnO NRs) was fabricated by precipitation polymerization. Such traditional technology was not only achieved the specific recognition for direct fluorescent quantification of the target tetracycline (TC) through fluorescence quenching, but also formed the shield to reduce the toxic effects of ZnO towards organisms. Under the optimized experimental conditions, the MIPs-captivity ZnONRs were effectively applied to the direct fluorescence quantification of TC with excellent stability. Moreover, the practical analytical performance of the MIPs-captivity ZnO NRs was assayed by appraising the detection effects of TC in water sample from the Yangtze River with satisfactory results.
