Abstract:A silver-catalyzed Minisci-type acylation reaction is reported here. Acylation of electron-deficient N-heterocycles is achieved in aqueous solution through dehydrogenation cross-coupling of aldehydes and N-heteroarenes in open air without external Brønsted acid. Selectfluor® is used as a mild oxidant. This method has been successfully employed in acylation of a variety of N-heteroarenes with aldehydes. This strategy provides an efficient and mild method for acylation of N-heteroarenes.

Abstract:Although copper-catalyzed amination of activated C(sp3)-H bonds through radical relay has been developed, amination of unactivated C(sp3)-H bonds is rare. Herein, copper-catalyzed intramolecular amination of remote unactivated C(sp3)-H bonds is reported. The reaction is conducted in a mild and effective manner with moderate to good yields, demonstrating broad tolerance toward various functional groups and exhibiting complete regio- and chemoselectivities. This innovation supplies novel synthetic pathways for the construction of saturated nitrogenated heterocycles.

Abstract:An efficient and general protocol for copper-catalyzed N-arylation of aliphatic amines and amino acids has been developed using aryl iodides under mild conditions (coupling temperature at 25-35 degrees C). For the N-(o-nitrophenyl) amino acid derivatives, subsequent reduction of the nitro group in the presence of tin(II) chloride resulted in 3,4-dihydroquinoxalin-2(1H)-one derivatives in good yields.

Abstract:An inexpensive and efficient catalyst system has been developed for the N-arylation of nitrogen-containing compounds including a variety of amines, amides, indole and imidazole. This simple protocol uses CuI as the catalyst, commercial available pipecolinic acid as the new ligand, K2CO3 as the base and DMF as the solvent.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE：To improve the synthesis of aromatic nitriles.METHOD:Aromatic aldehydes were converted into aromatic nitriles by the ammonium chloride,copper powder,oxygen system in pyridine.RESULTS:Ten aromatic nitriles were synthesized by this method.CONCLUSION:Compared with literatures,this method has following merits:reagents are very convenient and not expensive,operation is simple and the yield is good.

Abstract:[reaction: see text] We have developed an efficient method for the preparation of medium- and large-sized nitrogen heterocycles via copper-catalyzed intramolecular N-arylation of phosphoramidates and carbamates. Introduction of the phosphoryl group or tert-butoxycarbonyl at N-termini can improve intramolecular cyclization under copper catalysis, and the phosphoryl and tert-butoxycarbonyl can easily be removed under the mild conditions; thus, the convenient and efficient method is suitable for the preparation of medium- and large-sized nitrogen heterocycles.
